Ridgecrest Regional Hospital Reviews

Before you go to Ridgecrest Regional Hospital, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Ridgecrest emergency room think.

April Jordan⭐️⭐️Came here for something so simple and I have waited for longer than two hours. All for a prescription. And only because base medical is closed. Hanging out in the ER with a young child is not fun and is extremely stressful. Tempted to drive to Lancaster. Ridiculous. Oh and it’s not like its packed or extremely busy.Brenda Ford⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have been in the ER with my father on numerous occasions, there with my daughter, and for my self twice and always had nice nurses, and front office staff and good doctors. Sometimes it was busy and the wait was longer, but that’s to be expected. My sister lives in Lancaster and there waits can be 6 to 8 hours so she drives to Ridgecrest, and uses our ER. I’m very happy with the hospital’s ER.Michael Forbes I just moved to this town so that I could sort out my medical issues while transitioning back to civilian life. Being on terminal leave, I do not currently have a primary doctor. So I ended up here when I called 911 for heat exhaustion (not usually an issue but something was different). Pupils wouldn’t dilate, cramping and tensing up all over and confused. Driving all over to get what I need (salt, fat and water in whatever form is available) was just not an option while seizing up and not retaining water. I’m sorry my problem is not yet diagnosed and gets to an emergency state sometimes. (Yes seizures and often loss of consciousness while losing water are emergencies). Not diagnosed… So I don’t have a name for it. Although my record has a diagnosis for the symptoms… No diagnosis for the cause. I understand it’s not an easy case. And everyone says “get that ball out of my court!”. And when I tell people what I Do know, they feel insulted. I respect the fact that you went to college and have a high level of knowledge. But 6 years of researching this problem and learning through trial and error, maybe the patient just might know a thing or two. Oh yeah… When someone complaining that they have to pee is handed a container to pee in and fills it completely and is hardly able to stand, and you accuse them of tampering with the sample…. “You put water in it”… Seriously? Did you hear the sink running? Do I have a reason to delay the process? I understand the paramedics said my pupils wouldn’t change. I guess in your mind, that means someone is on drugs? And has a motive to dilute a urine sample? Is that the kind of town I moved to? Where that is the expectation is, although it was stated many times I CAN’T RETAIN WATER? Yet your first assumption is that I diluted my own sample?!!? Since you’re gunna skip that, key point is: Why would I dilute my urine sample? And why would you Tell me in front of everyone that I did so? That behavior is disgusting. And I hope you do it to the wrong person someday. Thanks for the pill that stopped the shaking and stiffening. Oh… For the doctor who couldn’t stop laughing when I said Navy medical thought it was SPS… It’s a real thing. It was ruled out and it’s not what I have. But it’s called Stiff Person Syndrome and it’s not something I made up. Quite interesting to research and I’d recommend it as a study topic some day. As I said before, I respect your level of medical knowledge which far surpasses my own. But simply because someone is aware of a bit of information you haven’t heard of is not a valid reason to discredit the info as if it’s just me making stuff up. Now that I’m not fighting the precursor to a seizure, I would like to give you the contact info for my main point of contact in naval medicine. You have my contact info. I am Michael Forbes. Came in the evening of the 24th of July 2019. If I’m going to be living there, I can’t afford to be burning bridges and that’s not my intention here. Anyway, on a positive note, Thank you for stopping the shaking with that pill. And thank you for suggesting I be seen for something I had previously suspected. I tried to get permission to be checked for ADH imbalances previously including diabetes insipidus (Navy medical said hell no when I asked). Most ER visits end with no useful information or direction at all. Thank you for being different in that aspect. I am lucky I had called my dad who drove 2 hours to help. Or else, I would be in worse condition today. And I’m not joking, I would like to get you in contact with my PCM so you can get my medical history. If I’m going to live here, I need to have a positive relationship with medical personnel in the area. But the first visit took a turn for the worst. Not what I wanted. Because “teams of high ranking medical officers are still trying to diagnose it but can’t. But I do know a few things to keep it in check” is not an easy pill to swallow for some. Thanks for stopping the shaking.
