Saint Alphonsus Eagle Health Plaza Reviews

Before you go to Saint Alphonsus Eagle Health Plaza, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Eagle emergency room think.

Sandy Hartman⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWhen entering facility I felt very comfortable.the registration woman was so very friendly and helpful. I was taken back to a room immediately and thankful since I was in a lot of pain. Dr. Travis was very helpful and explained my options. Awesome facility Thank youProShine⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedReally good experience at the emergency room. Very thorough team, they got us in the emergency room within 60 seconds of walking in the door. The doctor was great. Really really good experience. And I am a customer typically of the “other” hospital. They did a great jobPhilip Sheridan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Was seen with impressive speed. The work up was thorough although the wait for Cat scan results dragged on. I liked the MD but after blood work, scans and a UA was disappointed that none of my labs were more then cursory explained. I also could have received an IV antibiotic that would likely have accelerated my progress but the MD declined with little explanation why. I’ve had this done in urgent care in other locales so, again, this seemed more about convenience for staff versus focusing on my comfort. Overall was glad I went. Staff were pleasant.Sheri Zwaanstra⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went to the ER to rule out a blood clot in my left leg. I had just had ankle surgery and was feeling a lot of pain in my calf. They were able to do a Doppler ultrasound and let me know that I didn’t have a clot. The whole visit was a very positive experience. Each staff member treated me well and all are very good at there jobs. I was seen very quickly and able to go home in a very timely manner and with peace of mind, which to me is priceless. I highly recommend this ER!Ti M.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI didn’t even know this ER existed until a few days ago when I needed it! This is a top notch crew. Everyone from the receptionist to the x-ray tech were kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. These folks made a scary situation much less awful. They even called me the next day just to make sure I was ok. I am so grateful to have received such wonderful care!Joe Moeller⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI knew what was wrong with me but needed help. They were very understanding and took really good care of me during the visit. And now I feel the best I have felt in years. Thank you guys.Duane T⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️First impression wasn’t good as wheelchair was missing one arm rest which left only bolts sticking up and resulted in minor injury to my hand when transferring from car to wheelchair! I brought this admissions desk attendant who seemingly lacked concern for hazardous wheelchair issue. Then I again brought it to nurse’s attention when being transferred from wheelchair to examination room bed. It appeared at arrival that they were not busy as only one vehicle in parking lot and yet it was over 45 min. before I was able to see Dr. So I arrived at 9 pm approximately and didn’t leave until past 2 am! This long on a exam bed was quite uncomfortable and not one really checked on me unless they had specific task they needed to do. The medical staff was very nice though.Betty Dryden⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went to this hospital for the first time and had a great experience there. The doctor and nurse were very kind. I was taken in very promptly and attended to quickly as well. Definitely recommend this hospital.Gabe PS⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEveryone from from desk in ER to nurses, Doctors and technicians were amazing. Each one were friendly, knowledgeable and caring. I will return to this ER if I ever need to go again. Thank you to all!!!William Edgerley⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFirst time there, didn’t want to go….(hate going to the doctors) BUT, this was the Best experience I have ever had. Wonderful staff, and Dr Austin was awesome! There was no wait, got me right in. I was so grateful, thank you! Thank you!Mary Hewitt⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI visited the ER on Thanksgiving morning and am truly grateful for the friendly, caring attitude of everyone from the front desk to the nurse, to the Dr. I saw. What a uniquely warm ER department!Rhonda Cramer⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedDr. Kim, whom we have seen many times for my husband’s health, is amazing. He is kind, considerate and extremely competent.Cheryl Lotridge⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe emergency room staff were very kind and efficient in every way to meet my immediate needs. They were all very kind and I got in quicklyKeith Hampton⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis hospital is amazing, clean, friendly and so very knowledgeable about everything that was important. This is where I want to go if I need to go to the emergency room again!Robert Ryan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedNobody wants to be in the ER on Christmas Day, but the staff was so welcoming and compassionate. I greatly appreciate their sacrifice to care for others and being away from their families and friends.Linda Truman⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedNo waiting in line to check in or be seen! Best place to go in Boise Area for emergent Care, 24/7!Gretchen Schmoller Not pleased w ER personnel: lacking in training and patient empathy; rather than sooth my fear, “nurse” became rude and even went so far as to say “well, what do you want us to do? & “there is nothing more we can do”. Personnel did not identify themselves, and “nurse” did not provide patient empathy, adequate gauze/towels, etc for massive bleeding. “Dr” did not explain what his next action would be, but rather brandished scary equipment in my face. I will not return to St. Alphonsus, Eagle ER!Brandy Timmons⭐️⭐️The nurses were all great. Nothing bad to say about them. Wait time nothing nothing bad to say about that. Your Doctor Harris on the other hand he needs to figure out how to be a doctor. I went to my primary care provider after I had my ER visit. He did not do anything he should have. a pelvic exam he should have done an ultrasound he should have done. I have things going he didn’t even check for. he did blood work urine work that was it, then sent me home. and now come to find out if he would have just checked what I was trying to tell him in the first place we probably could have found what was going on sooner or my doctor would have known and we could have take different route. He is neglectful of his patients and couldn’t have cared less than what he’s shown he care. Horrible doctor horrible experience never ever will you guys be recommended again would doctors like that working for you. Used to be the only hospital I would go to with my medical issuesKeri Christensen PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL AND FIND ANOTHER ER. VERY, VERY DISHONEST. The hospital and Dr. charged/billed us for for the highest ranking. It breaks my heart that they took advantage of our insurance and our family. I knew the moment the Dr. made my son wait (in the hospital room) for almost 3 hours for an ultrasound, and only checking on us a couple times, that they were dong it to BILL US. The ER was basically empty. THEY DID IT ON PURPOSE TO CHARGE US. So sad how DISHONEST THEY ARE!!!Leslie Engle The nurse & doctor were nice, but could tell they just wanted to get me out quickly. Did not manage my pain whatsoever and cost me probably $3k.Coleen Kuntz⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFast service thorough examination. Felt well cared forJanice Poppenga⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedStaff were so friendly and concerned. I felt like I was in good hands.Nick Edwards⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHands down the best ER experience I have ever had. The entire staff was patient and compassionate. Thank you for the amazing care and going above and beyond for me.Casey Clark Realty w/EPIC Realty⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAs good of an experience as one could hope for an unexpected ER trip. Dr. Was very thorough, staff was pleasant and very kind, tests were all completed in a timely manner.Gilbert Serrao⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBest service I’ve ever had going to an ER. I was in and out with kind service and a great Dr.Ginger Brandt⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery friendly staff. Did a great job helping me with my injury.Becky Dockstader⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff, Dr.’s and Nurses were great.Kris Santiago⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedStaff was kind, service was fast. I was in and out and felt cared for.Dale Allen⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe people who treated me seem to know what they’re doing. I have no complaints.Kevin Vaughan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat staff and are very helpful and kind.Great care and got in and out quickly Thank you so much.Sarah Rice I went in there because i felt weird n my face was numb (fyi still numb) and they didnt do any test just made me follow fingers n checked my blood pressure. Not ok. So not only was nothing done and absolutely made sure there was nothing wrong. Im still sitting here feeling the same with a numb face. I will not be paying for that visit. Its bs!Star Davis⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedDuring my unfortunate visit to the ER every Doctor, nurse and technician was friendly and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and taken care of.Joe Ryan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER Recommendedprompt friendly straightforward service.Joy Roberts⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI couldn’t be more happy with the care and service I received! The staff from the desk in front to the doctor! If I had to be at the hospital I’m glad it was St. Alphonsus!Helen Burleson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery nice and professional nurses and Dr and and all the other employeesTia Henrikson What a disappointment.. No answers, no treatment plan.. Just send you on your way in excruciating pain… It’s a jokeCaley Featherstone⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedNo wait time, clean facility, great provider.Sharon Gallagher To many Passwords to rememberKathy Minor⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedStaff was prompt, efficient and kind.Patricia Failla⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy daughter was injured when falling down the stairs in the very early morning, and was unable to put any weight on her foot. We were treated quickly and efficiently. Dr. Gibson was wonderful. We appreciate such a nice ER in our community!Ann ST If you like being squeezed of every penny even when you can’t afford it this is a great place to come. The private doctor bills you separate from the hospital and so does the imaging place. So hope that you don’t need x-rays. There is no financial assistance for the bill from the private doctor. The hospital assistance is less than just a slim chance. You might as well get ready for the collections notice now.Jimmy Bigham⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery professional, and very on point about everything!Bennett Akers Wow, unless your almost dead, don’t use these services for emergency health care. Went in for a cut on the leg for a friend that was helping me move things and I paid $250 right then for services only to find out that it was only for the hospital and the doctors are now trying to bill us over $842.00 extra for their services. Took them 40 min, only 8-10 stitches….Talk about legal robbery.Paul Frymire Medical billing malpractice – Wife went it on a Sunday by request of her OB for expected abdominal cramping. Doctor ran several unnecessary tests that we explicitly said we did not want run (without us knowing), including a blood-type test even though her blood type was already in the St. Alponsus system! After approximately 10 minutes of face time with the doctor, my wife was released with a prescription for pain medication. We were then presented with a massive $3000 bill using billing code 99285, meaning the doctor performed a life-saving procedure! Followed appropriate appeals processes and were finally told by the doctors company, Idaho Emergency Physicians, that his actions were justified because an ER is a hard place to work at and that snap decisions must be made.Baily Klarkson WOW. The bad reviews on this place are for a reason!!! I had the Central District Health department call me to alert me of my infection before my Doctor would. In fact, I cant get ahold of my Doctor at all to tell me ANYTHING. No one has contacted me once with my test results. And as for the visit itself, Dr. Hammerstead talked down to us, even making a couple of belittling jokes at the questions we had. And showed us with the height of her hand gesture, the level of a “true” emergency. Well, that’s not what the Disctrict Health Dep. thought! This place was comical. I’ll find that night funny. Later.Alicia Wilke⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was seen at this ER when I fell through a window, I had 3 lacerations that were bleeding very heavy, I was brought back right away, and one of the Assistants covered my wounds up and wrapped it with pressure wrap, and got my vitals and a nurse was in right away to help. It seemed pretty busy and I understand that it is an emergency room where you go when you have an EMERGENCY! So I was fine with waiting for a little while for the doctor. The nurse named Manny came in and got my histories and started an IV and took some blood, He missed the first time with the IV but again it is an emergency room and I understand that I don’t have the best veins so I didn’t get mad at him for just trying to help me. Manny was very nice and respectful, my shirt got all bloody so he gave me a disposable top to put on, the doctor came in and looked at my wounds and said that I would need many stitches, and injected numbing medicine, he was one of the best doctors I have ever had, very kind and efficient. He explained that he had a few critical patients so it might be a while before he has a chance to come fix me up, when he was leaving the room he asked if he could get anything for me, and got me a warm blanket. The assistant came in and cleaned out my wounds and talked to me which helped because I was nervous. Then I got fixed up and sent home. The doctor said that unless there was muscle or nerve damage they generally don’t prescribe pain meds for lacerations because over the counter anti-inflammatory meds work the best, and giving narcotics is always a last resort because of addiction capabilities. The care I received was amazing, I couldn’t have asked for better care, I was there for a while because of how busy they were but in an emergency the treatment time is based on severity of illness/injury.Ted Messenger Was told to wait for an hour before being told that my appointment had been cancelled without calling me. A month later, when they finally decided to see me, they physically harmed me with their outdated equipment and then kicked me out because I appeared to be a liability. I had better hospital visits in mash units in a third world country. Only go here if it’s your absolute last resort.Nolan Ahlers My wife took my son to the ER here for flu like symptoms. My son had a very high fever and through diarrhea and vommitng had become very dehydrated. When it became almost impossible to keep medicine and fluids down in my 16 month old son my wife took him the the ER. The emergency room started off great slow but great. I understand everyone cant get immediate help and there were cases more severe. After giving my son meds for fever they began trying to hydrate him. This was not working as well as they wanted so the doctor ordered an iv. So far so good. Now they tried putting in the iv about 4 times and failed all times. They then called a staff member from intensive care unit for infants to assist. The specialist could not get the iv in either. This is when the doctor decides since its to hard to get the iv in my son does not need one and discharges my son. The doctor was also rude towards my wife. They thought it was important enough to get a specialist to try to get an iv but when they failed they just give up, and send my dehydrated 1 year old kid home. I am thankful for the effort put in but this is unacceptable. There has been numerous occasions where er docs and nurses just do whatever they can to get you out the door, seems like they care less and less about helping people and more about quotas and getting people in and out. This ER visit was the second one in 2 days for my son and by far the worst. The disrespect the doctor showed my wife is unacceptable and borderline harassment.JR Gossett⭐️⭐️Mother in law was taken there today. Doctor refused to listen to her, and hurt her very badly, refused to stop treatment even when she begged him to. She was in extreme pain.Zach Chastaine Your doctor and the hospital are going to bill you separately. You may be charged a huge amount to see the doctor, but the hospital will also send you a huge bill. I was charged over $3,800 for a single CT scan during an ER visit.Tony Drost⭐️⭐️Beware, St. AL’s may be within your insurance “network”, but the treating physician my not be and the low co-pay you expected to pay, could be just a fraction of the amount you will be billed. The care my child received was good and maybe even excellent. Prior to taking my child to St AL’s, I called and confirmed that they were within “network” for my insurance “Pacific Source”. Upon our arrival, they collected my co-pay. Months later I received a huge bill. Evidently Dr. Ashby is not an employee of the hospital and is a contractor and he is not within “network”. Additionally, Dr. Ashby’s charges exceed the amount that Pacific Source allows for physicians that are within network and to date, has not waived the charges to what Pacific Source requires of their contracted physicians. In the meantime, I am getting the run around. Pacific Source won’t pay. St AL’s says it has no control over the billing of a contracted physician. Dr. Ashby evidently is part of some Idaho Physicians group and you have to talk to someone in Michigan who says the insurance company should have to pay because in an emergency , the patient has no control over who sees the patient or not. There should be a huge sign at the registration desk that says, “Although we may contract with your insurance company, the treating physician may not and BE ADVISED, that what you think this will cost may be very little to what the actual costs are”. You would think St AL’s would want to make this known so they don’t end up with people who will refuse to use them because they have no idea if they are actually going to be covered or not for the care received in their hospital. I pay $1,500 per month for medical insurance for a family of 5 and as it appears, I end up paying most of the bill anyways. Which brings another point, the cost to have my child’s eyebrow GLUED closed was over $1,000 and I may end up paying over $700. I am sure they are all participants in a huge broken system. Thanks Obama, so much for your affordable healthcare.
