Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center Reviews

Before you go to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Mishawaka emergency room think.

Jeremiah Triston⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had to go to this ER for a non-life threatening emergency of an inflamed gallbladder and and I was treated very well. Yes, I had to wait because—again—I was experiencing horrific pain but I was not in immediate danger. RN Pam and Dr. Weston were incredible. My blood tests came back normal but the doctor actually listened to me meticulously detail what I had been going through so he ordered imaging and I was able to get an accurate diagnosis. Dr. Weston was friendly and informative, and to the point. He believed me and was able to make an informed order that got to the source of my problem. Thank you for listening and thank you for helping me. Sad to see so many bad experiences. If you go to the ER and you’re not bleeding, convulsing, or flatlining you won’t be helped immediately, people.Mariesa Tinkham⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️We were admitted to the ER almost immediately, but probably waited at least an hour before seeing the doctor. The medical team we had was patient-centered and considered our needs and perspectives when treatment planning. The team was very nice, knowledgable, and able to get us the support documentation we needed upon discharge. The only negative other than the team being kinda slow (we were there a total of 6 hours, which included initial assessment and medications, imaging, results/treatment planning, and discharge) was that the environment could have been cleaner (e.g. floors, bathroom, etc.) and they could consider putting more comfortable chairs for family in the patient rooms since people will apparently be waiting for a while. Overall we had a positive experience with the ER and our nurse and doctor were great. Would recommend to others. Thanks!Josh Grose So much for being an E.R. 3 hrs for apendix issues amd still haven’t seen a doctor. I would give negative stars if I could.Sarah Frizzell I have insurance. I went to Urgent care at 430pm. They said I must be admitted and to get an IV antibiotic. It’s 830pm…. and I’m sitting here. No IV. I unavoidably work at 5am. Can I get an ice pack while I wait?! Or my IV. I don’t need a room, just want swift medication and to go home.Jess Pepper You guys need to expand your ER because no one should have to wait 4 hours to be seen. Completely unacceptable.Ernie Galvan My wife went there for a cut on her head. We started in the emergency waiting room, then was moved to a conference room with three others that were being g treated for diseases.. Where the nurse then attempted to tend to her bleeding cut. No beds they said only chairs. As we sat in this makeshift waiting room the nurse came around and checked us all right there. Found out why everyone else was there we were not going to see a Dr but only a P.A. Then we moved 10 feet behind a sheet curtain, no joke! This means privacy laws are not taken seriously here. Finally a nurse practitioner came in checked her out, we thought they were going to admit her, finally they were taking us out of a third world emergency room, and into a room. As we walk to our room and pass two beds in the hallway. Were saved! So I thought! After explaining to the nurse that my wife needs strong pain medication to work. They applied a numbing gel twice, and she could still fill it. So she gave us a option more gel or shots, that she explained the needles would be more painful than the two STAPLES in the head, so she talked her into doing without the needles with the numbing medicine and stapled her head with out any pain medication. Then on top of that they would not give her anything for pain to go home with either. So after 5 hours she just wants to leave. NOW THE IMPORTANT THINGS one staple wasn’t even in the vasinaty of the cut thay had to pull it out. And the two Staples they managed to put into her head, were they stapled INSIDE the cut itself and stapled her hair to the cut. This was a third world experience for us. Our medical system has failed us all. But I bet you they will make sure payment issues are top of the line. If you have a serious injury go somewhere else!!!!sean ward Would leave 0 stars if possible. My girlfriend is keeled over in pain and crying while they call people back who are laughing and playing on their phones. Over 2.5 hour wait time when the tracker says 17 minute wait.Mirinda Lawrence Kneeling over in pain waiting 2 hours unacceptablePam Zahrt 2.5 hours waiting and only have watch 2 people get in the back. When you ask they all say no one knows and short staffed. Can’t recommendSeanna Scheibelhut⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedQuick and attentiveLyle Rorie TERRIBLE!!!!!! Emergency room is filled with runny nose and cold symptom patients who take priority over patients bleeding, passing out, or experiencing heart attack symptoms. Their insistance of “first come, first serve” mentality has overruled the definition of “EMERGENCY”. Nursing staff is rude and unskilled. 5 1/2 hour wait is totally unprofessional. DO NOT WASTE TIME GOING TO THIS HOSPITAL! All flash….no care! Nurses won’t even help the elderly get a drink or something out of the machines, when they were brought in by ambulance and have no one with themsassypaws aka Malee Paws⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedReally good service
