Before you go to SCL Health Saint Joseph – Littleton, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Littleton emergency room think.
Portia Davenport⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWhen our 4 year old put a rock in her ear while at daycare, we rushed her here and the staff and doctor took great care of her. They were professional and kind. Got us in right away, and made our little one feel as comfortable as possible. The rock was pretty deep in and the doctor walked us through everything step by step. The check in and check out process were extremely easy as well.Wesley JeanetteOur 18 mo old daughter slipped and bumped her head. After throwing up we decided we needed to take her in. We were heading to urgent care but she threw up again right as we were coming up on the ER so decided that was what needed to happen. We were the only people there and everyone seemed nice. They admitted us taking her weight and vitals. We saw a Dr within a few minutes and he advised us to undergo an observation period of 90 minutes. A good recommendation as the other option would have provided radiation and a scary experience for our daughter. He checked back a little after an hour and she was doing much better, back to herself. They took our insurance and we left shortly after the 90 minute observation period. All of that was fine and good. I just got the bill and it blows my mind. $3333.70 for Emergency Room – General Classification. We sat in a room for 90 minutes, had her vitals checked upon admittance and that costs $3333.70? As a comparison we had our daughter at Littleton Hospital and for three nights we spent there were billed $3983.83.Candace SMy son went to the ER after a sports injury 11/10/19. After the Physician came in to ‘check’ him out, the very rude, annoyed front desk gentleman interrupted to get insurance info and the Physician never put hands on him, discouraged him from obtaining an xray or MRI. Sent him away with ice and ibuprofen. My son went to the Dr office the next day, had an MRI a week later. Come to find out, he has a torn ACL and fractures in his femur. ER bill came – 2300.00 for nothing and didnt even bill insurance correctly and are trying to bill us this amount. Now we are working through the process to get insurance to cover. Very frustrating. Update- son went to Panorama ortho today 12/5/19, was told he has a complete ACL tear. With a significant fix to femur and bruised bone. Ortho stated, had it been treated properly at ER, he would have required surgery right away. Now he must go through 4 weeks of physical therapy to heal knee, bone bruise and have surgery in January. More missed work, longer recovery time. I cant imagine how painful this must be to go on for so long.Robert TallaksenI went to SCL seeking help for a panick attack due to PTSD. The doctor told me I was a drunk and my panic was caused by withdrawal. However they gave me a breathalyzer that proved I had a .27 alcohol level which proves I was not having withdrawals. He told me to leave the facility or he would call the police.Kelsey Campbell⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAlmost as soon as I walked in I was being seen. Super quick help and no wait at all. Doctors and nurses were all amazing and helpful, walking me through every test to make sure I was comfortable and ok. Explained my results and what they all meant. The place was super clean and everyone I meet was kind and helpful. Hopefully I won’t be needing to head back anytime soon but if I do, I know where to go and that I will get all the help I needKatie Riehle⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedJust went in for an unrelenting cough, hacking up all sorts of nastiness and blood streaked mucus. The nurses and dr took care of me as soon as I walked in. Within 20 min I was out the door with a steroid and cough medicine to help me get through the weekend so I could go to school and finish my CNA clinical. They explained everything in explicit detail and answer all my questions. They were amazing!sara HHXo⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis place is truly amazing! I was in and out so quickly. It’s was SO clean. The staff was amazing and I felt very cared for!Eric Loveridge⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis place was amazing! I went in for a kidney stone. They had me back in a room immediately, and hooked up to the meds in minutes. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The doctor was genuinely concerned, and even called the next day to follow up. When I go to an ER I’m normally expect to be there for several hours. This place shattered that expectation and will be my go-to ER for my family.Jim Conzelman⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedSeen very quickly for 4 stitches on the hand on a Sunday night, zero wait. Very professional medical staff. Physician sutured the stitches himself, was obvious he had a ton of experience. Only downside was the front desk lady who seemed new and inexperienced.Michael VanWoerkomDo not go here unless you have really good insurance. We got stuck here on a Sunday evening when Urgent Care clinics in the area were closed. They charged us over $2000 for what amounted to a 1/2 hr eye exam. The diagnosis was that my son would heal on his own. I suspected it would be expensive, but the cost for what was actually done is completely out of whack.Magda A. Jabbar⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went in yesterday with excruciating stomach pain. I was seen right away, professional and attentive staff. And the hospital itself looks clean and quite new. I was very happy with the services, even for the outrageous prices you pay at ER.Steve RichardsonI had some high blood pressure issues. I trusted the doctor, but, of about 50 bp meds, was prescribed the worst imaginable. I have been vomiting violently since, and feel like I will die. I am changing docs, and not trusting anyone without researching for myself.Alex Quillen⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat professional and friendly staff. Good healthcare facility, one of the best in town. They know their job well!!!Sleepless InSeattleFIRST visit was a 5! They even let us self pay right away ($225 paid in full, not bad for 4 staples on a toddlers head) and made sure we knew about follow up and getting the staples removed (just go back there like any other time you would receive sutures and return to the same doc for removal) but then they tried to charge a new patient fee of $120 to remove the staples they put in exactly 10 days earlier, he pushed us out the door to an urgent care insisting It would be cheaper for self pay ($60 more expensive at the one he specifically recommended). After talking to my sons pediatrician And the other urgent care I called SCL admin to see we really would need to pay the new patient fee. This is AGAINST common practice for united states health care. The boy at the front desk as well as the administer JUSTIN C were both rude the kid at the desk was rude not just to my 3 year old (who had was prepared with stuffed animal and ice cream to get his staples out) but threw is colleges under the bus as well. He said “ugh, we keep having this problem, they need to stop misinforming patients). Instead of doing the right thing (and common practice thing) they sent us away. BTW if we had had insurance (we have been without for 3 weeks) they would NOT have billed insurance for the removal….. Other than the boy at the front desk, Justin C. And Cindy ( staff I spoke to via phone that was rude and discriminatory) it was fantastic and I would have recommended anyone…. Now I would say go 2 blocks to the urgent care THEIR OWN EMPLOYEEs ARE RECOMMENDING- COLORADO URGENT CARE OF COLORADO (“ON BOWLES BETWEEN KIPLING AND WADSWORTH”- FRONT DESK REP AT SCL… they are much more Healthcare oriented than this empty building that prentends be here to help our communityKevin FoustReceiving random bills because the doctor was contracted out. Doesn’t matter if you have insurance or not, they’re still gonna find ways to take money from you.Caleb Ackerman⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedLiving in the neighborhood just a few hundred yards away from this mini-ER/Hospital has been an absolute blessing. I’ve had to visit twice now, usually late at night for falls and such since I have brittle bones (Osteoporosis) and chronic lumbar spine issues at such a young age. I can say that I have always been treated with the utmost respect and care from the nice front desk staff to the check-in nurses, even the imagining staff and lastly the Physicians. I’ve been to more ER’s than I care to have been, at a variety of healthcare systems and I can say without a doubt this particular hospital is top notch all around. My experiences here led me to choose my PCP Dr. Batra whom I once again (after seeing and dealing with over 50 physicians over the past 7 years) was absolutely pleasantly surprised to have found her as she is the kindest, and the most understanding physician I’ve ever had the pleasure to be a patient of. If you have had a bad experience at this hospital in any way, I’m sorry to say that the fault lies probably with you and not with the hospital.Sauer Power⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAmazing experience for being sick. The front office women was very fast and helpful and kind. The RN’s, Doctor, and techs were all fast friendly and efficient. Don’t waste your time anywhere else, go to a hospital that has great patient care AND great customer service.Terry WeddelWent in for a cough automatically assumed I had a blood clot cause I previously broke my ankle didn’t want to do a chest X-ray to check out my lungs and cause of the cough had to fight for it instead they wanted to do a bunch of unnecessary tests to find something that wasn’t there think they just wanted to use me for practice and to pay for all that new equipment I declined the unnecessary tests many times but they kept pushing them on me gave me some pill in hopes for me to change my mind that didn’t work so then they started to tell me that after looking at a chest X-ray that they now think I have cancer just from looking a an X-ray no other tests so they pushed the unnecessary tests on me more I still declined because I didn’t buy what they were trying to sell me since the cancer scare didn’t work they proceeded to give me some pill in hopes I would change my mind well I didn’t change my mind so then they proceeded to tell me unless I do the test they want I could walk out into the parking lot and die or die that night in my sleep or die the next day trying their best to scare me into testing that was Not Needed I finally ended up leaving and made a appointment the next day at a regular doctors office and they agreed with me that this place was just trying to scare me into unnecessary testing when it turned out I had bronchitis not cancer not a blood clot I visited Scl Health on 2-5-18 its now 3-8-18 and im still around didn’t die in the parking lot like they claimed I would they didn’t diagnose the problem or try to just wanted to go on a hunt for imaginary problems that didn’t exist. So if you want good healthcare don’t come here , if you like to be scared into unnecessary tests get poor treatment and pay for the new equipment in scl health then come on in!Joshua Couch⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff were amazing! Gave my sons the TV remote to watch a show along with snacks. A nice quiet and clean facility.Katie Riehle⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI came in with a nasty, festering sore on my lip after a dental extraction. I had the sore for about a month and was in terrible pain. Dr. Kelli jones and her nurses took such great care of me. She examined my lip, told me that the next best stop is a dermatologist. While I was there the team made sure I was comfortable as far as offering blankets and medication to help out with the sore. They even offered my husband some small comforts while we waited. Also, no waiting time to be taken back. The facility is very nice and since it is new the doctors and nurses spend a lot with you one on one and definitely try to lighten the situation with some zinger jokes . I would recommend this place to anyone and everyoneTabitha Smith⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWent to Littleton Adventist a month ago and was treated horribly while in tremendous pain from kidney stones. The doctor was so horrific that I came to SCL instead when the kidney stones came back, hoping to find someone who would actually believe the pain I was in. They were INCREDIBLE. Literally every single person. The hospital is beautifully set up, the ER rooms are comfy, and everyone is compassionate. Definitely coming here for any emergency needs in the future. Shout out to Elizabeth, the ultrasound tech for being an angel.J BWhile the doctor and one other staff person were very nice, the nurses and other staff were rude – starting with the person at the front desk (in emergency). We won’t be back since there is another place just up the road. The incidences were bad enough that we are filing a formal complaint.Andrew BThey will tell you one price and keep billing you after your visit for the next couple months. All Random charges with no basis. Doesn’t matter if you have insurance or not. Do not trust this company.Max EdwardsWould not recommend this place, go to the ER just up Wadsworth 2 minutes!Laura RunyanFront desk was pushy with payment!! I was made to feel like a Medicaid patient when I had good insurance. Triage nurse Laura was LESS than friendly. Very slow and Dr Keller talked down to us like we were children. Will NOT be back!!!!!Alanda Sylvester⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat place doctors, staff and nurses are awesomeSamantha Tostenson⭐️⭐️They were fast and helpful but the lady at the desk was very rude.Stephanie StrakaOperator Justin is the most unpleasant human.Stephanie Willey⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedNo waiting for the ER, friendly staff and compassionate doctorsBec Varner⭐️⭐️⭐️Great!!mackenzie wilson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery clean
