Seabrook Emergency Reviews

Before you go to Seabrook Emergency, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Seabrook emergency room think.

kelly depina⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery short wait time and I felt the level of care was great! From the moment of check-in, everyone was friendly and attentive.Casey Weimar⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe overnight ED doc saved my life. I have been here a few times with my girlfriend for minor things and the care has always been excellent. Big thanks to the ED tech, nurses and Doc who took my CC of a prolonged migraine seriously. If they didn’t act so diligently and do the diagnostics that were necessary, i wouldnt be here right now. Grateful for the staff at SBERMadeline Rondeau The doctor came in and coughed all over the room. Following that, I forced him to do a strep swab because the doctor was convinced nothing was wrong just because I didn’t have a fever. It has now been 60 hours and my culture is still pending even though they told me no more than 24-48 hours. I do not recommend this ER. The doctor was clueless, the nurse was nice, but seems disorganized and rushed.ray lafrance⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe sign said three minute wait I was in and out within 20 minutes. They listened to me and examined me and treated me. Excellent care! The facility and staff are an asset to this community!Jennifer Eaton⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Quick, professional services and we didn’t have to wait long.Cindy wootan Waited OVER AN HOUR in a room they put me in after meeting initially with nurse to describe why I was there. No one came in at all during that hour plus, even someone to register me and take my insurance information. I walked out without being treated. And drove by the sign saying “wait time 6 minutes”. Right. Would never go back.Stephen Priest⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAdmitted right away! Very helpful, patient, no pun intended, and didn’t look to give us unnecessary procedures. Wifi available, which helped.Pito Torres⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI love going here every time I’ve been here has been fast serviceJesse⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAbsolutely the best place to go. Everyone is kind, compassionate, and caring. They take the time to listen and are thorough all the way through. If I could give this place 100 stars, I would.Rachael Castro nurse ratchet with the short spiral curly mousy colored hair and glasses. maybe Julie? anyways, what a ratchet!!!!! negative sad attitude, so rude, such a weirdo. worst nurse ever. nobody cares if you take advil when youre in pain and what birth control you use.Chris Belknap As others have stated, beware of the outrageous costs. Cost us over $4k to diagnose pneumonia. I have decent insurance and had to pick up over $2k, and the billing was difficult to understand. In the future I will go elsewhere unless I am dieing.Steven Riendeau⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI came with my little mom and we were seen by a Dr in less than 5 min, chest x-ray 2 min after. This is a fully equipped Emergency Room. Awesome In and out with great care. Highly recommend.Coral Welch⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAlways quick, an professional!Ashley Robin I get that we have an opioid and pain medication epidemic going on in the United States right now. Unfortunately doctors have to be tighter on their prescription pads and I get that 110%. But when it comes to quality of care this was by far the worst visit I’ve ever had. The doctor that was on really seem to think all I wanted was pain medication when honestly all I wanted to know was why I was in so much pain. After waiting 3 hours to see the doctor don’t get me wrong I was in a room but waiting 3 hours for her she came in touch my abdomen once and asked me what I wanted for pain medication if I thought Dilaudid would help. I snapped back at her ibuprofen would be fine I’m not here for pain medication I’m simply here because I want a diagnosis I want to know what’s wrong. The whole atmosphere changed then she turned back into an actual doctor after another 45-minute wait after I got some fluids and ibuprofen she came in and palpated my stomach then she said that she wanted to do an ultrasound after another hour the ultrasound technician come in gave me an ultrasound the doctor came in another 40 minutes later and told me I had a 5 cm ovarian cyst on my right ovary. She then proceeded to discharge with a prescription of Motrin 800 which I was very grateful for. She gave me instructions to follow up with my gynecologist two days later I went to my gynecologist ran a bunch of tests had a pelvic exam and my gynecologist assured me that I did not have a cyst at all I had never had one. What I did have was a very bad infection from the hysterectomy that I had 3 weeks prior which I did inform the doctor at Seabrook about. So after worrying for two days that I had cancer in my ovary because a new cyst had formed after my hysterectomy I was relieved to find that there was never a cyst and I’ve come to the conclusion that Seabrook emergency room is completely incompetent. If you do go here make sure it’s a minor injury and hopefully it won’t be misdiagnosed and send you into panic mode. Good luck I can promise I will never return.Jennifer Krochmal⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe have been in with both teen boys for injuries to significant for and Urgent care. We were seen quickly and professionally with minimal wait time. it was great and we highly recommend it there.Emily Loring⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedImmediate service and very friendly staff! Would recommend to anyone who needs assistance in a pinch.Shauna Carter Avoid this place at all cost!!! Save yourself theBobbie Chapman⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedService was highly professional, thorough and efficient. I received immediate attention for an injured knee. Staff were professional, concerned and efficient. There was follow up contacts within two days to check on progress. I would highly recommend ‘‘tis facility.John McCoyIII⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFor the second time in about a year I was given excellent service at the Seabrook Emergency Room. The posted wait time was 1-minute and that was about what happened. I had knee pain stiffness and swelling. Soon after a nurse did my vital signs, Dr. Chiou ordered X-rays and ultra-sound imaging which were done promptly in the exam room. Within a reasonable time, Dr. Chiou came back with test results and diagnoses and treatment. After that my insurance etc. was obtained and soon a nurse appeared with discharge paper and written treatment. A very efficient operation. My experience a year ago was the same efficiency and very satisfactory. These two experiences were very patient centered and far in advance of any other emergency rooms experience I have been involved with in three states.Mark Williams Bring your 401 k or first born to pay the bill.Colleen McGettrick I went in literally minutes after my father passed at Exeter hospital. I had the flu and they hooked me up to an IV. However, the doctor than “thought” I had a hernia and ordered a CAT scan. Even if I did have a hernia, an Emergency room isn’t the place to test for it (which oh by the way I DID NOT)!! They give the illusion of a clinic. They are NOT- they have the prices of a typical ER. I was so distressed, I couldn’t think for myself. You would think the doctor and staff would have some empathy knowing I just lost my father minutes before, which they were all told multiple times. You don’t order unnecessary expensive tests when a patient is that distressed. At the very least, voice your concern and advise to see my local doctor. Nope!! Completely took advantage of me. I literally owed over $5000 after this visit. My physician is a crook and should not be practicing medicine. Anyone who works here should be ashamed of themselves (as I can see from other reviews that I’m not the only one who was fleeced). If you are reading this, and you are ANYONE working at this scam of a medical facility: SHAME ON YOU!! I still remember how uncomfortable the guy in charge of billing was when speaking to me, he knew what was happening and chose to stay silent. I wish the same on to him as well. Karma happens, I just wish I was there when it does occur. I will now go find the piece by New Hampshire public radio who speak about their crooked billing practices!!Jillian Merrill BEWARE BEWARE those of you going to the Seabrook Emergency room and how they choose to bill you. I visited them in July now I have a bill of $748, all for them to write me a prescription? Because the doctor I saw for a whole 5 minutes was “out of my network”. Now this bill has defaulted and appeared on my credit report. OWASCOAG EMERGENCY PHYSICIANS and Seabrook ER is a JOKE!Doug and Pat Watson My daughter went here for a minor medical condition. She was seen by a Dr. for less than 10 minutes. He gave her a prescription and she left. She received two bills totaling $2,600 – one from Portsmouth Hospital for $1650 and another from an emergency room Dr. group outside of NH for $750. This place is a ripoff. NH Public Radio did a story about their billing practices. Ucynthia jean miller Although it seems like a walk in; don’t be confused; its an emergency room with walk in service and emergency room prices. When I asked if they accept my insurance the intake girl pretty much was not allowed to give me that info. She also informed me that if I made payment that day it would be 120 dollars not 150 dollars. The nurse: fyi they do make capsule form in that antibiotic and congratulations you are the first person to take my blood that left a bruise along with pain. Furthermore instead of the doctor prescribing antibiotics for the recommended dose; I now have to pay twice as much at pharmacy for refill. Thank you. I was referred to this place as I was looking for a walk in…if I went to a walk in; my insurance would have covered… I’m afraid to see what else they may charge?? Never again. Thank you…Mary Higgins⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedSeabrook Emergency Room was such a Blessing for me this morning. I entered the door and was met by staff and escorted to an examination room. The team behaved in a professional, courteous, and empathetic manner to my symptoms. I felt complete confidence in my diagnosis when I was discharged with a referral. This is a five star facility and we are so fortunate to have it in our community.Michael Behan The cost of care at this facility is disgusting. My daughter hurt her leg and thought it best to be seen by a doctor. An early evening quick check up, in-and-out; final bill was almost 2K. My insurance company paid $1425, I paid $200 at encounter, and the balance due is $355.75. The first statement just received 30 days after services rendered outlining this also indicated a special message for me in the top right corner – “An itemized bill will be gladly submitted free of charge on request.” You can bet I’ll be requesting my free itemized bill. I can’t wait to see this!Sue Edic⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe had an excellent experience here. Our four year old fractured his foot. He was immediately taken to a room that was children friendly (colorful and painted with sea creatures) and the nurses and doctor saw him right away. Exceptional service. Everyone was so kind to our little guy and very knowledgeable and informative. Even staff who were not tending to him stopped in and said hi to him.Tobi Jean My husband was COMPLETELY misdiagnosed! He was told he had Pancreatitis and kidney stones. The next day he woke up with a rash and it was SHINGLES! He had all the symptoms of Shingles and was told flat out NO, you don’t have shingles. This place AND the doctors are a JOKE!Lisa Happ I brought both my children in the same week! My son was in a car accident My daughter hurt her ankle They told us my son had a md concussion. To have him rest a little and he would be fine. After 2 weeks of not getting much better we saw his dr and specialists. He had a severe concussion! My daughter fell rollerblading the same week! We went back to Seabrook Portsmouth ER. After X-rays they told us she had and ankle sprain. 2 weeks went by she wasnt getting better We went to her primary care who sent us to a sports med /ortho. We picked up her X-rays from Portsmouth /Seabrook ER on the way to her ortho appt. One look at the X-ray at this appt and they told us her tendon and bone were both torn! 2 misdiagnoses in 1 week for 2 serious injuries! Yikes!! I won’t take my family back ever!Stephanie Westergren⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe ended up here after a whittling accident in which my son cut his finger. There was no wait and the nurses immediately made my 10-year-old son feel less scared and nervous, especially the nurse, John. I was so impressed with everyone at this facility! Some ER’s are just not good with kids but this one was FANTASTIC. The doctor was so down-to-Earth and made my son feel more at ease, telling him exactly what he was going to do and why (my son is very matter-of-fact and likes to know what’s up). Hopefully, we won’t have to use this facility again but, with 3 boys, I’m glad that we have such great providers so close by!Nicole Cluff My husband took my 19 month in for fever and possible ear infection. The wait time on the sign said 2 minutes. He waited 40 minutes before the doctor came in the room. He had to leave and return because he had to get our other children from school. Again, he only went in because the wait time said 2 minutes. My daughter was prescribed Amoxicillin, which was dosed incorrectly for her weight. I had to recalculate the dose at home (I’m a nurse). The building is in network, but the MD was out of network, so my total cost for an ear infection is $1,500! Convenient MD is a much BETTER option, the cost is never more than an office visit (around $250) and they handle pretty much the same stuff, including broken bones. If you have to got the ER, just use a local hospital where the MDs are hired travelers.Sheryl Maltais⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedArrived having an anaphylactic reaction from a bee sting. The staff admitted me immediately and started the procedures necessary with calm, and professional manner. Explaining each step. I had to return later that day with a reemergence of symptoms..it was really comforting to see the same nurses. The Drs. were so friendly and took the time to explain. I never felt rushed. I am so pleased to have this facility in our town.john lomba BEWARE: Doctor doesn’t take insurance and charges you directly along with the hospital fees ( $5000 for the ER visit of 30 minutes or less (500 co pay) $1000 Doctor FEE?!?!?! OUT OF POCKET PAY! BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!!!mike richard Bandaid and a tetnis shot cost me over $2000John Beaulieu I brought my fiancé here because it was outside of normal doctors office hours and we thought she had strept throat. We were in and out of the office within 15 min and she received two very obsurd, very pricy bills. One from the emergency room and one from the doctor that briefly looked in her mouth and said “you don’t have strept”… no tests were done! The total of the bills was over $1500. This place is robbery.Shayla McCarthy⭐️⭐️Went there today for a foot injury. Was initially impressed– was brought back to an exam room right away, nurse and doctor came in promptly (within 25 minutes or so). Then I waited an hour to be taken to radiology for an X-ray….then after an hour and 15 minutes waiting for results, I couldn’t wait any longer. Except for the initial visits from the nurse and doctor, I saw no one for the next two and a half hours. I had pressed the nursing button twice and asked politely if someone could check on the status of my results with a generic response of “I’ll ask the doctor to take a look” each time–and then no word. I finally had to leave without any results. I completely understand it’s an ER, emergencies happen, but the lack of communication was unacceptable. I think it’s false advertising for their sign outside to advertise a “12 minute” wait time when then it’s an absurdly long wait to get an testing completed or obtain results. Overall, very frustrating and I will not be returning.
