Sherman Oaks Hospital- Reviews

Before you go to Sherman Oaks Hospital-, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Sherman Oaks emergency room think.

Goldie DO NOT GO TO THIS MEDICAL CENTER. The front desk staff Karen Scott is unprofessional and rude. The staff is really rude and don’t take into consideration your feelings and situation. I suggest a different hospital! Seriously!! Much love. Kirah ❤️Judith Winston⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI recently (6-10-19) went to the ER at Sherman Oaks Hospital due to a painful fracture I had a very good experience. I had checked reviews here before I went and was apprehensive about what my experience would be. I was delighted by the wonderful experience I had and with the people who treated me during a stressful and painful time. I was taken in within a reasonable amount of time (ER’s are busy places!), and from start to finish I was well treated by smiling, attentive friendly staff and doctors. I want to especially thank Evelyn, the receptionist who greeted me when I came into the ER, Axel Rose who saw me first, Tara and Tony who made sure I had warm blankets and were warm and friendly, Trevor who did my blood work. and Dr. Hernandez who gave me excellent care and diagnosis.Ulrica Guevara UPDATE: I ended up having to go to an Urgent Care. My strep-throat got so bad. I had went back to SO ER a second time and the doctor straight up told me my throat did not look soar. Either she was blind or and idiot! I went to MEND next door. Thank God for this place! The NP told me my throat was severely inflamed and if it was kept untreated sufficiently, there could have been some major complications. I was given a shot of antibiotics and a very strong prescription. The very next day I started to feel better. I’m so sad that this hospital is like this now. I hope that someone or something will change it to be a good hospital again. Someone could die! Have some compassion and listen to what your patience are telling you!Hammy Ford I’m gonna sum this up very simply and as short as I can. dr Neha Shangari is AWFUL!!! She honestly needs to be fired she is in the wrong profession. She is so rude pretty much straight cruel. She let my husband lay in pain for hours while he had a kidney stone only giving him Advil. Trying to force us into getting a cat scan which I repetadtly told her no which made her mad to which she said Well then he doesn’t have a kidney stone. Are you serious?! He is peeing blood can’t sit still because of the pain. I’m not gonna do a cat scan so my husband will have a higher chance of getting cancer just because of some ignorant dr.. his primary care dr has advised against getting anymore CT Scans because he’s had so many this year. Due to them trying to figure out why he’s getting these kidney stones in the first place. But the Advil of course did nothing for the pain. My lord We could have done that from home. I ended up taking my husband to another hospital where they cared for him & actually showed some compassion and care for his needs. Moral of the story if you have the misfortune of going to this hospital and you get this “dr” which I use dr very loosely.. ask for someone else. TRUST ME. She’s very arrogant and ignorant. This woman has a lot to learn. I did call and report this woman as well & I suggest if you have had a bad experience with her to do the same.Ulrica Guevara I am a recovering addict. Been sober for 7 years. I have been to the ER on several occasions. Panic attacks, drug withdrawals when I decided I wanted to quit. Then when I was sober I went to this ER for a broken arm, acute pendiscitis, and maybe an ear infection. It had been a few years. I recently went to this ER because after recovering from a cold going on three weeks. I believe I started developing strep-throat. I had a 102 fever. And my throat was beyond unbearable. I believe the doctor may have looked at my past record and automatically assumed I was a scum of the earth drug addict. Because that is how I was treated. They barely wanted to give me antibiotics let alone to a strep test. I am an upstanding citizen to this day. But even if I wasn’t this is they’re job to treat people with respect and help people. I can understand if I had been in and out of there all the time. But it had been years that I have gone there. And if they continued reading my records they would have read that I was there for normal ER visits. The doctor was very condescending and spoke to me like why are you even alive. I will never go there again. And if you are a recovering addict I would not go there either. They will shame you and not give you the help you need. The doctors need a to take a class on why they became a doctor in the first place. To help people get better. Even if it’s the disease of alcoholism or drug abuse! Not treat them like the scum of the earth! Their Karma!Golden Eye Fool Productions⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWent in there for a fractured hand. Took about four hours in total from check-in to discharge. I was expecting much worse. Everyone was really nice, the staff was helpful overall for an ER visit it was okayسرى الدخيل The staff treated me disrespectful way and they are not professional at all They left my sample test for one hour outside front of everybody no body pick it up Now I been waiting for four hours Without any results Should I have be worriedDella Levan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had a family emergency, and Sherman Oaks was the closet hospital. I have nothing but good to say about the care at this hospital…and the staff was attentive and excellent. I was shocked to see the other reviews. Yes they could have processed us quicker, but they had a Code Blue and that was more urgent. Good job Sherman Oaks staff in ER.German Negrete⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had a allergic reaction. Went to Sherman Oaks ER on a Sunday morning, they processed me very quickly so I could see a Doctor , MD EKMEJIAN was very attentive and very helpful, the whole nursing team gave me the proposer medicine and were very polite. I Definitely recommend this hospital.Tony Stypinski⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWonderful, attentive, courteous and professional staff. They really care about the patients. Cannot speak highly enough about how they cared for my wife.Ashley Hamblin Wow, I wonder how many people this ER has killed. Dr. Hernandez is apathetic and absolutely horrific. I’ve never been openly judged for coming to the ER to withdrawal from alcohol so I don’t have a seizure. When I checked I’m my heart rate was 168 and blood pressure through the roof. I was shaking and crying. Dr Hernandez ignored my vital signs and basically said I’m an addict so “I won’t be prescribing you anything” it seems like you probably doctor shop for pills.” My jaw dropped. I literally am trying not to have a seizure or go into heart failure because my resting heart rate was so high, but let’s ignore that and assume I’m here to get pills to get high?????? I came in for help because I wanted to stop drinking. I know the dangers of stopping cold turkey after being On a binder for days. I complained to the nurse after the doctor left and asked if I could have a different doctor. She came back in 2 min later with discharge papers and told me maybe try another ER?? Im at a loss. I’ve never seen or heard anything like this. I was asking questions and then was told security was coming to remove me. I was STILL hooked up to the heart monitor. I was still hooked to all the machines. So I unhooked myself. Un. Believable. Inexcusable. This place needs to be sued.Micah Gabbard Emergency room staff are simply disrespectful.Lisa Kiersey Worst experience of my life. I had just had surgery hours before and was experiencing severe chest pain. My surgeon ordered I be transferred from Beverly Oaks Surgery Center to this ER due to the severity of my chest pain. I was transferred via fire ambulance. The second I arrived I was put in a room and forgotten about. No triage, nothing. I was simply left in this room crying in pain. Meanwhile I could hear the staff laughing and joking around outside near my room ignoring my cries for help. When the “doctor”, Neha Shangari DO finally came see me she was so rude and condescending. She was actually down right mean like I was bothering her. She did nothing but order an xray. She completely ignored me when I told her I was in pain and had just had surgery that morning. I received the xray. After that I was left again in the room in pain. I could finally take no more of not being helped. I got out of the gurney while a nurse was coming in the room and I said I can’t wait any longer for help I just want to leave, that I couldn’t believe horrible I was being treated. He simply said “OK” and turned around and left. Another nurse came in and abruptly stripped me of the IV I came in with from the Surgery Center. It was bleeding everywhere but she didn’t care. She was hurrying to get my dressings off and shove me in regular clothes, which, thank God I had from my overnight bag from the Surgery Center. I was told where the exit was and there I was on the street. Luckily the surgery center was close so I walked back there where they took me in. The Medical Director, Dr. Rogers spoke with me and him and his staff helped me as much as they could. My husband was two hours away and came to get me. He took me to our normal hospital Hoag Hospital where I was finally given the help I needed. Bottom line is this is a scary and horrendous ER. I plan on filing a Grievance against this ER with everyone I can.Jacob Youshia This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at any medical facility. Do not come here unless you are really in a pinch, even then, if you are in a real medical emergency try your best to go elsewhere. The nurse (while nice) kept me waiting for about 8 hours to get my test results back, only to find out they were ready approximately 7.5 hours earlier, and were un-reachable due to a “email glitch”. Mind you, I needed to walk up and ask them for the results multiple times when finally the gentlemen “checked” and then “received the email”. Furthermore they murdered my insurance for a lot of money. I received my explanation of benefits a month later and saw that the hospital had processed a series of fraudulent transactions – there was a lengthy summary of treatments and charges listed totaling over $10K at list value. All I actually received was the single scan and an IV drip. Terrible experience and really shady overall. I also forgot to mention that my only medical issue was moderate dehydration… the nurse tried to “up-sell” me to get a spinal tap.Bryce Jacobs⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedExceptional experience. It was small which enabled us to get 5 star care. I highly recommend coming here.Lateasha Parish Their idea of fast, effective treatment is no treatment at all. No compassion. The staff is rude and doesn’t listen from the dr to support staff. If you look like you are going to live, then you get sent home without a real physical exam. If you have pain you are ignored. If you are frightened and upset, then you must be “crazy.” How they call themselves healthcare is what’s crazy. Avoid this hospital at all cost, and expect them to inflate your treatment interventions, so they can get your money. Is there a 0 star option that will let you write a review? I hope some accrediting agency offical reads this and shuts them down!Super Loro My wife came to the ER on a stretcher from an ambulance with horrible abdominal pain. The nurse walked right by her. She ignored her to treat a patient that came AFTER US who had “anxiety” (The other patient looked entirely healthy like nothing was wrong) I couldn’t believe it! The nurse said “It’s not first come first serve here” (They obviously take the urgent cases LAST”. That makes no sense at all!) The staff really don’t care about patients at all. Sherman Oaks Hospital is the worst hospital I have ever visited. STAY AWAY!Laurie Hope⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was at this hospital for a week I wanted to say thank you to every one that work on the 5thfloor the doctors and the nurses where the best and thank you specially to Lewis who made me smile when I was feeling bad thank you again may God bless all of youloly vega⭐️⭐️This hospital is the worst experience that i ever had, and nurses are so unprofessional , everyone is rude , bad services, dirty place they dont care about patientSuffer Moor zero star – HORRIBLEj mcpherson Worst people alive. Would not take my friend due to an unpaid hospital bill. And she had gangrene!
