LaurieI met a family member at SLU’s ER last night after she had been in a car accident. We were there over 5 hours for her to receive a CT scan & results. Waiting room was small & dirty. Staff was not helpful. Poorly organized, no communication from staff. Very sad that this is the medical care people receive in 2020.Teresa Coyle⭐️⭐️Was here 3 nights ago and they messed up my prescription. Could not get it filled. In severe pain from traffic accident. I would not have come back but for their mistake! Now I am being treated like a pain seeker and a “frequent flyer.” waiting forever to be seen. Hit a room, it’s been an hour still haven’t seen a nurse or a doctor.Tiffany Shierling⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI came to this hospital thinking I was just dehydrated. Come to find out I am diabetic and was moments away from a coma. My nurse Jessie was the best healthcare professional I’ve ever interacted with. Even when I got transferred to a floor she tried to get up to the floor and visit me. I also bring students to this hospital all the time and they are always protective of students privacy.Emily StarkAVOID AT ALL COSTS. Seriously, choose any other emergency room. It doesn’t matter if this is closest to you. I spent 7 hours there and received virtually no help. 10 different doctors/nurses asked me to start from the top with why I was there even though I brought lab work in from an urgent Care. The people who work here visibly do not care about you and do not communicate with each other. I would be ashamed to work here. And I’ve visited several emergency rooms.Devin WallAs someone who works in the field, calling this a “healthcare” facility is comical, if not dangerous. I have been sitting with my friend in the ER for over 8 hours now. All that was needed is some simple blood work and to see if his elevated heart rate should be any concern. We are still here. In that time I have seen multiple patients be ignored on very basic requests and the complete mishandling of a mental breakdown when an individual found out her boyfriend died of his wounds (she was crying hysterically on the ground and a security guard, not a nurse, came up and told the mother to keep her under control). When I asked if we could leave, and have the physician call us when they have a chance to examine the results, we were told that we would be removed from the system and all the tests would be for nothing. When I asked if a primary physician could look at the results, I was told only those at SSM Health would have access (which I believe is a lie, as they use Epic and most physicians have complete access). Do not use this emergency room. Drive the extra couple of miles to reach an ACTUAL hospital.Jesse KleinNever waited so long for absolutely nothing in my life. Been here 5 hours as I’m typing. No compassion whatsoever. They just make you wait until you have to leave so they don’t have to treat you. Very rude and insensitive staff.Susan Llamas⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This is flu season, so the ER was packed. The nurses were Very Busy, but took time to answer questions. I was there with a family member non flu related. I never saw or heard an unkind word. Everyone was treated with respect.Costner Realty GroupWaited for 4 hours with an eye infection. Was misdiagnosed and treated with wrong medication !!! Unspeacable service: the worst ER !Sparkles SingletonThey are so damn slow! Came here to get antibiotics for an ear infection and it took over 3 hours. I stopped counting after so long. Oh and they don’t go by first come first serve either so goodluckGloria White⭐️⭐️Very irritating that while in triage, one person is asking me about my reason for visit and another person taking my vital signs. The lady doing vitals jepr trying to insert the thermometer into my mouth, repeatedly saying, ” place this in your mouth” … I said just a moment, yet she continued her directive. FINALLY, a bit agitated, I said,” MAM, I’M TRYING to answer these questions!” She never once apologized, said hello, introduced herself to me, nor looked me in the face. I felt she was rude an dismissive and lacked compassion. Common sense would tell her to wait for questioning from the other assistant to stop before putting a thermometer in my mouth.Lance RobersonMy family will never use this emergency room againShon YoungThey have an appointment set up for the ER they refuse to use and tell you your wait can be forever. Unprofessional. Never had this problem with Depaul or St. Mary ER. All they assist is drug addicts and since i wasnt 1 i wasnt importantTracey Gregory0 stars, this is the worst emergency room I’ve ever been to. If your family members arrives in an ambulance, you can’t be with them for at least 30 minutes- people die in 30 minutes!!!!Khadija MohamedWorst emergency room ever! If you have a choice to not go to this hospital, DON’T! Unfortunately I did not have a choice, I was transported here in an ambulance from a car accident scene. Staff was extremely rude and condescending. They kept mixing my charts with the patient next door, at one point even diagnosing me with injuries I did not have and overlooking the injuries that were causing me extreme pain. One of my lungs were punctured and it was extremely hard to breath among countless other pains I was having all over my body, yet I was wheelchaired In a room and made to wait unattended for what seemed like 40 minutes.Michael Wightman⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery nice staff that us spitome christian medicine. I highy recommendShay LoveThey have the worst security staff. Security Graham is nasty and she try to fight kids and will put your child out in cold cuz its flu season They so races. My baby has a medical condition at that
