Rin Williams⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWent here for the first time today, for my sprained ankle. I was seen quickly surprisingly (not used to that at hospitals) and didn’t spend a ridiculous time there. This is the most decent staff treatment I’ve ever had at a hospital, so THANK YOU because that isn’t too much to ask for. I would go here again. Plus its the closest to home so that’s also an added bonus.Lisbeth Juárez-LópezMy brother had a bad injury on his lip and had a pretty deep cut. It was swollen and numb and did not look good at all. After 20 minutes of applying pressure the bleeding did not stop. He said he would go to urgent care the next morning, but the constant bleeding was worrying me. I told him he needed to get stitches ASAP because the wound looked bad and the bleeding continued. I told him that getting help right now would be better than waiting hours until the next morning. We got the the ER at 10:50p.m. And waited in the waiting room for 3 hours. During this time, my brother was in pain, still bleeding and still had not been attended. Finally, the nurse takes his vitals, looks at his injury and concludes he needs stitches. The nurse sent us back to the waiting room and we waited another 30 minutes. Finally, she called us to come in and we thought “finally we will be attended.” Well, we were wrong. When we got in the room they saw my brother was bleeding, and didn’t give him anything. Finally my brother decided to grab a napkin that was there and applied pressure to his lip. The blood soaked through many times and when the nurse came in to check on us, she finally gave us something to use: a gauze. She said the doctor would be in soon. An hour and a half later, we were still not helped. We decided to leave; my bother was exhausted, in pain and fatigued. He just wanted to rest and go home, so we left. We decided that at this point, if we had been sitting for four and a half hours unattended, we could wait for urgent care to open in a few hours. So we went home. When we left, after receiving now care, they told us they would send us a bill. We were very disappointed with the care, especially since we didn’t receive any, and especially since patient care is their priority.Ryan RosinMy wife, my youngest son, and I were all seen there today for sore throats and fevers. My oldest son was diagnosed with strep on Friday. We went in and they did a strep test on all of us other than my son who already had it of course. My wife’s and my other sons came back positive. Dr Jayne Cook PA prescribed my wife an antibiotic and my son. My wife told her she needed an antibiotic that was safe for breastfeeding. She was very rude and unprofessional when we asked for this request, when we received the antibiotic prescription we asked if it was safe and was told “ I don’t really know” basically did not want to check for us. My strep test came back negative but my throat was swollen and red and everyone else in my home had strep already and I was told basically oh well. They would not give me some antibiotics even though I had the start of it. She was rude, unprofessional and sloppy. I would not recommend this hospital even to a dog.Laura Browna friend has meningitis and had a seizure and was taken to this hospital. They restrained her and didn’t give her anything to calm down. the doc called her psychotic and said people don’t have meningitis. she’s at my place right now having a breakdown because of this place. well done, St Joe. plus, they exposed her while restrained to male eyes, and ignored her pleas for an additional 15 minutes to cover her nakedness. this is the most disgusting thing I’ve ever heard.Candee Chapman⭐️⭐️My mother was impatient at StJoseph’s and had top-notch care. Absolutely no complaints. She had to come back for an out-patient test and we have been waiting for 1 1/2 hours in the waiting room. She isn’t even prepped for her procedure yet. No one spoke to us about the wait until I started asking. My mother is 94 years old and should not have to sit in the waiting room this long with absolutely no word when she should be in bed. On top of all this, I took my mother to the rest room, via wheel chair, and one of the hospital staff was using the handicapped stall. The.regular stall was empty, and it was urgent, so my 94 year old mother had to use the stall without safety rails and handicapped features. The least they should do is tell their able-bodied staff to leave the handicapped stalls for the handicapped patients to use! Obviously not the level of care we expected.Marilyn Johnson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe Physicians in the Emergency room are the best. PA Van all Host andCamial, Tracy, Emma,t Made,o Mike and Dr. Erickson are very professional and really hear your needs, and treat you with dignity and respect. I truly appreciate them. Dr. Neal Erickson knows what, and when I need the most help, and is always there for me. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Queen GG⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went to the emergency room today. I literally went from check in,bathroom, vitals and to the back in less than 5 minutes. My nurse came right in they informed me of everything going on and gave me meds. I’ve gone to St.Joe many times and the staff today was by far the best. Thank you guys.Channel #007⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went to the Er today These are the most caring professionals Tracy the RN that did my registration was so awesome and caring I hope I don’t have any issues but this will be my hospital from now onShayna Lynn⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe night I visited the emergency room was very busy and they were short on staff. That did not change my level of care and the nurses were all apologetic for the long wait. Compared to other emergency rooms, the wait was actually the shortest I have ever waited. Everyone was so nice, despite it busy a busy night when they were short on help. They were very caring and helpful in getting my pain in control. Thanks so much!Nathan HamiltonPlease, PLEASE do not let this hospital take care of you or your loved ones! They tortured my child in the ER. Waited too long and the novacaine wore off but that didn’t stop them from starting the stitches! From the screams we brought the other nurses into our room to see what was happening. But what did the doctor tell the nurse to do?! HE TOLD HIM TO GRAB MY CHILDS MOUTH AND FORCE IT SHUT!!! My poor child was terrified and pale from the pain. Blood spilling into his eyes, unable to breath or speak because they did not know how to handle stitches on a child. GO SOME PLACE ELSE! The doctor didn’t even care.Terry⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedStaff is just awesome.Bill HubbardI once thought that they were a Christian-based hospital but my last experience there clearly said no. They misrepresent who they are, what they can do, and if they are worthy of any human trust. The community would be wise to stay away from this fiasco shrouded in the guise of a good name they aren’t worthy to use.Kerry Feller⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThey are the best Drs, Nurses and service you could ask for.Sharon Wheeler⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAlready pleasentleah hartsell⭐️⭐️I went into the ER because of the flank pain and bladder spasms from kidney stones that i was having. The ER staff was wonderful. The nurse was very good at my IV start, the radiology tech was super nice and quick. The doctor that was in the ER was very young but very knowledgeable. The only Thing i did not like was they gave ME the choice whether i wanted to stay or not. I chose to stay hoping they would do something about the stones and possibly get them out. I got up to my room on the 4th floor and that nurse was awesome. Overnight i was pretty much left alone until morning. The Dr. that rounded in the morning came into my room and all he said to me was “the urologist is coming in to see you today” and he walked out. This Dr. used to work at the clinic i go to so he knows my history of kidney stones. I have only ever passed one stone. All of the others had to be surgically removed. The CT scan i had done last night showed that i had 2 stones in my left ureter that was causing the flank pain and the bladder spasms. When the urologist came in to my room that morning, he explained where the stones were which i already knew this info. He drew it on a board as if i was not comprehending him. He gave me his business card and told me to call his clinic in 2 weeks to get in as an outpatient to have the stones removed. Why the hell did i go to the ER for if they were not gonna do anything for me. Mind you i have been battling this pain since February 15, 2018 and this is April 16, 2018. Why in God’s name do i have to wait another two weeks to get something done. Again, this hospital did nothing for me. I’m at a loss as to what to do. I will not go back to this hospital for anything. It used to be the best. I had 2 children delivered there. My father had been there before he passed and my father in law was there until he passed. It has gone downhill bad. I only gave it 2 stars because of the ER experience.Alfred Wardlow⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I’ve been here a lot lately with my elderly mother. They listen to all concerns and address them in a timely manner. It’s clean the staff is friendly. The Care is good and my mother has been coming here over 35 years.Debby Z⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedSo scary going to an ER. St. Joseph’s staff made it as comfortable as possible for me and then after being admitted I was blown away by the nursing staff. Wow is all I can think to say. They spent so much time with me caring for me and explaining things. Incredible!Erin MingosHORRIBLE with dealing with insurance. I went there for a panic attack (thought I was doing to die) and was hit with a 6700 bill for chest x-rays, bloodwork and an EKG. I spoke with the business – who was not helpful at all (never received a breakdown of why things were covered and why they were not. I told the business lady I will just let myself die if I ever have to come there again. My record said “chest pain” which wasn’t even the half of what was going on.Anne Xenos⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have had to take my young daughter to St. Joseph’s Emergency Room twice within the past 6 months. The staff was extremely gracious, understanding and calmed me in my moment of fear. They handled my little one perfectly and even followed up with me the next day to ensure she was ok. I love St. Joseph!Linda DemancheI cannot get my meds refilled because Cari will not call the pharmacy. She is not giving me enough medicine to last the month. I have called and called. United Health has also called with no response. My pharmacy has faxed her 4 times, still nothing. This is stupid and she is a NP.mark Y⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThanks to the very nice staff in the Cardiology Unit, Dr. Lammoglia did a real nice job on my heart, special thanks to my nurse Jackie and everyone who helped me in the morning.Jenae’s KitchenI went to the ER yesterday due to having abdominal pain. I have really bad veins in my arms they roll a lot and very small in both arms. I explained that to the RN his name was Joe. I told him I prefer he go straight for my hand because that’s where my good veins are, he said no I have to try your arm first. You would think he would listen to his patient after all this is my body and I know it the best, but he didn’t listen. Joe proceeded to put the IV in my arm and what do u know he couldn’t get a vein and it was so painful with him fishing around in my arm after I told him he wouldn’t get a vein! Then he went for my hand and on the first stick he got a vein and got the IV started…..The second bad part of my visit was the communication I was not aware why they were doing everything that were doing. I was there for abdominal pain and they Were doing a EKG and CT so I had to take my bra off and the nurse Joe completely just went under my gown and started the EKG. He didn’t communicate what he had to do I felt violated in a way. I didn’t like this experience.Melanîe Cooper⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe lymphdema Dr Kay is amazing I got more answers to my questions on the 1st visit than any other Dr I’ve spoken withrachel FERGUSON⭐️⭐️Dr was awesome, some of the nursing staff, and hospitality had to be the worst I’ve ever had ever. Unfortunately I’ve had to spend a lot of time in hospitals, and i would have to say this is the worst hospital I’ve had to stay at yet…… FEELS like a prison, more than a hospital, not even allowed to leave my room with out an escort…….Liz CassidyIf I could give Zero stars I would. Currently dealing with the worst Nurse I have ever had to deal with. My mother has been a patient for the last 4 days. The night nursing staff..Rude, condesending…just heard my mothers day t ime nurse “Meghan” laugh about me asking her when the Dr will come in. After reading the other reviews im surprised they even have patients. I regret bringing my mother here. Do not come hereChad CorakGo elswhere if possible. Dr dan and the night emergency department at st. Joes has to be the worst in the city except the obvious. The front desk informed me that they dont do mri’s if thats the order with the dr asking us what brought us in we got two words outs when he raised his voice and demanded what brought me in today.(about 10 sec had elapsed) i declared what the issue that brought me in at 330am and for some reason he walked out of room citing he would be back. My Wife had to find me a blanket.DebbieMy mother (with dementia)was neglected when she was there. I walked into her room on Saturday at 12:30pm. Her breakfast tray was sitting on the table. No one helped her so she didn’t get to eat. She had not had any help to get cleaned up. Her dentures were never cleaned. I watched her nurse hand her jelly beans that he had picked up off the floor. Today she smelled very strong of urine. Again, no one helped her. I voiced my concerns to two other nurses, but apparently it doesn’t matter as no one ever followed up with me. Thank God she’s out of that nasty place.Gary LadwigHave been to this ER several times in the last several months with my aging parents with no problems, tonight was different. Had to bring in my almost 100 yr old father, with my 96 yr old mother & my wife. ER nurse Lonnie got nasty & downright hateful with my wife & myself for exceeding the 2 people to a room rule while my dad waited to see the doctor and have some blood tests done even though my wife was the only person in the room at the time, I had walked out with my mother who’s recovering from a broken hip & has to walk every now & then. St Joseph is not the hospital it was before it became a ‘for profit’ hospital, would not recommend it to anyone.Laura Anderson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy family member had amazing care in the Emergency Department. Everyone was very professional and kind to my daughter and we were in and out in less than one hour. Thank you!Mohammad GhannamThey have the most LAZY staff and no one likes to help ECT,,,, I pray to God I will not be there patient,,, please everyone go to KU or St Luke’s hospital,,Olivia W.⭐️⭐️I use to love St Joseph hospital but recently on the 14th of march i was appalled by the treatment I received or lack there of I went in for severe lower back pain and numbness in both legs down to my feet. The doctor I received was degrading and treated me like a person looking for narcotics which the strongest meds I’ve taking in all my 36yrs of living is Oct pain pills for headaches or cramps. The night before going to ST.JOSEPH ER I had to lay in my bed for an hour before I could get up to urinate because I was scared of falling my legs were feeling weak and numb and this Doctor was very short with me and made me feel very bad for not having a PCP prior instead of communicating his concerns in a professional manner he was very judgmental and seemed aggravated. After a full body assessment including him lifting my left leg so far it made my pain escalate he to his nurse to give more steroid shots that did not work and a anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen that was a bit stronger that didn’t help. I discharged myself and went to Menorah and I’m so glad I did because by the time I got there both calf muscle felt really tight and painful. My experience yesterday morning with the doctor on call was very poor,I didn’t receive help removing my clothes nor was I offered a wheelchair. There was one nurse that was kind and courteous but by the time she came in I was already in tears because I just wanted answer so I can take care of my 5yr old again clean my house the way I like and function as normal or as close to normal as possible. I did not achieve any hopefulness from them today and by the off chance I have to deal with that particular staff again I won’t return. I’m glad others were treated fairly and respectful because I don’t wish that type of patient care on anyone from any hospital.matt sevart⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI’ve been to St. Joseph Medical Center many times. It’s always been a great experience – in and out quickly.Cres VelardeNOCOMMUNICATION BETWEEN DOCTORS AND NURSES.
