Anastasia D⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI started having quite a bit of pain yesterday at noon in the right abdomen. I waited for few hours, hoping it would go away, but as it was getting worse, I called the hospital’s ER. I asked them how was the wait, and Jake answered: “not too bad”, which was the answer I was looking for!I arrived at the hospital around 5 pm, and they registered me right away. In 10 minutes, I was called in, and they sent me to check my bloodwork right away. They scheduled the ultrasound as well. The hospital was clean and the staff was very friendly, caring and accommodating. I was seen by a physician assistant right away who led my case the whole time. I loved how they had warm blankets (as I got cold after few hours), the RN, ultrasound technician, CT scan technicians – they were all extremely courteous. Unfortunately, even after 6 hours and consultation with the surgeon – they couldn’t identify the cause of my pain, but somehow by midnight my pain subdued. Before leaving I personally expressed my gratitude towards a nurse that was especially taking care of me (I wish I remembered her name! ), and it was quite natural that we hugged each other. Thank you so much for establishing such a warm and welcoming practice. Imagine there are dozens of patients who require the medical attention. The staff are all working hard to accommodate all the concerns, so be patient, folks. I fully understand why I waited 5.5 hours, they were very thorough and careful in their observation.Shaina Larmee, AAT⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedYesterday, I went in around 12/Noon and had waited no less than 20 minutes to get to my appointed room with the RN and Dr. on call. They had been notified from the last place I was coming from and had things ready for my visit. Although adrenaline was still coursing through me, I understood all that they needed from me. The questions and instructions were clear and direct. I very much appreciated having the specialist called in to meet with me, he went right to work after retrieving my x-rays. All in all, I was happy with my experience here. Nobody asks to be here, but while here, I was in experienced hands. Thank you to my St. Joseph Mercy Team. -Shaina L.pete nagleBrought wife to ER at 12 noon. Admitted her at 7pm. Assigned a room which they have been cleaning now for 5 1/2 hours….. Still in emergency room after 12 1/2 hours since it is noe 1230 am. Will just take my wife homeMicki Stucky⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have severe facial and neck pain, I went to my doctor at UFM for it. My doctor referred me to come here to get a CT scan. The doctor here was SO knowledgeable and diagnosed me with trigeminal neuralgia immidiately, with no CT scan. I was so happy with their service and how quickly he was able to diagnose me when listening to my symptoms. Thank you!Sebastian Albarran⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis place it’s awesome , beautiful, relaxing and feeling free. Enjoin your time , no body screams, no honking. Etc . I’m personally like this area.LindaThe absolute worst. I should have listen to the reviews. Upon first arrival and check in I was made to feel as though I was bothering the nurse by just being there. She was the rudest unconcerned nurse I’ve ever seen in my 55 years. And this continued when I was placed in a room. There was just one person who seemed to want to help me the guy with the man bun and beard. And after test still and pain I was sent home the same way I came in. In pain and not knowing what was wrong. Never ask pain levels or if I need anything for pain just sent home after they got their ct scan. Never again.Adam RWe were here for my 22 month old son. We sat in the hallway for about 1.5 hours before talking to the attending physician. There were no rooms available so he conducted the preliminary check up in the hall. After another 1.5 hours of sitting in the hall we got a room so they could put his IV in. I thought the room would have been a little cleaner, guess not. The nurses who put his IV acted like there were wrestling a buffalo. Overall this was a pretty poor experience.Deenise Tran⭐️⭐️A 3 hours at St.Joe ER for a simple sport injury? Minimum 30 minutes wait at every stop? Really? A closer to home trip turns out to be a much longer wait. Disappointment.Marie SuttonVery rude admitting personnel , nurses complaining about low staffing while caring for my husband, left for 2 hours with no check back , my husband who had not eaten or drank anything for 10 hours due to previous testing was told by the aide she’d see if he could have ice chips and never came back! If you need to go somewhere go to St. Joes Woodland in Brighton . If you have to be admitted you go by ambulance but that is better than going to this ER.Nathan Oppie⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Nobody ever wants to go to the emergency room and everyone who’s there doesn’t want to be. Keep this in mind when you read reviews. That being said I had to bring my wife here and we had a positive experience. The Doctors were helpful and explained the situation as best they could. We were included in the decision making process on how to treat and care for the condition. We felt we were fairly treated and hope to never have to visit again. Ideal situation? No. Positive? Yes.Murphy HarringtonWhile in “Results Pending” the doctor was SO unprofessional that they didn’t even close the door while explaining a patient’s results to them. I surely know the name and diagnosis of that patient now – that place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. The doctor was so lazy and couldn’t read an x-ray, we had to ask them to go back to check again AND THEN did see what we knew was there all along. Please save yourself the money and the hassle and the doctor’s making you feel like an inconvenience to their leisure. Go to UM hospital.Jennifer Dunn⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy dad was in the ED and his care was awesome. He was taken directly to a treatment room, the nurses were compassionate and he was admitted to the hospital with ease. His doctor was Dr. Volz and she was knowledgeable and caring she kept us well informed.RJ MacouteWorst emergency department service I have ever experienced. Supervising physician Dr. Charmaine Gregory disregarded the ambulance paramedic prehospital care summary report and made a provably wrong diagnosis of confusion. My primary care doctor and the neurologist who provided my follow up care both said this diagnosis is dead wrong. I complained to patient relations and was contacted by the assistant superintendent of the ER, Dr. Nicole Seleno. She took my complaint very lightly and never took action against Dr. Gregory. As a result of this diagnostic negligence I was never provided with anticonvulsant medication. This put me at risk of having more seizures. Remarkable medicine? Remarkable care? More like remarkable negligence, remarkable sloppiness and a remarkable lack of communication and team work. The people reading this review should follow my lead and change your smart phone medic alert instructions to tell EMS to take you to the University of Michigan ED and avoid the St. Joe’s ED. The life you save may be your own!!! This is definitely not the place to go when your life is on the line.Cristian L.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery professional medical team, always ready to help and to save lifes.B CantrellI was made to lie in a hallway for 6 hours in severe back pain after a car accident. The doctor literally told me to go home and take Motrin. Worst ER in Michigan. Even worse than Detroit. The doctor was only 30 y/o, and had a huge ego too.beth lavasseur⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI visited the ER with my elderly mother . She was treated respectfully , efficiently and effectively !Jessie DDont even go here as a last resort. The doctor spent less than 10 seconds with me after I waited 6 hours. I asked her to explain what she meant and she just repeated exactly what she said and ran out of the room. They let me go with no answers and no solutions. Big waste of time.Duane Schwartz⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The Dr. and the staff took great care of my wife the 6 days she was there. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.Megan NelsonHad one positive experience here, and then a very negative. I came in with what i think was a negative reaction to a medication, I am very sensitive to new meds, and they literally treated me like an animal. My blood pressure was thru the roof, I was vomiting and having trouble breathing, the nurses wouldn’t even LOOK at me. I don’t even understand why I was treated so badly. Then I was given a medication to “calm me down” and I reacted negatively to that medication for an HOUR before they intervened. I literally feel like I have PTSD from this experience. They treated me like a drug addict or something and I’ve never been on a drug in my life! I came in for help and left sicker than when I came in. Very unfortunate experience. It would have all been forgiveable had I been treated with dignity.Kevin and Tabitha Bohnsack⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Our family has received care in the emergency department several times over the past few years. Our daughter still remembers the popsicles she received during our visit for a case of dehydration while she was under observation.Nathan Hansen⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedProfessional, efficient and good treatment.Carolyn Dennis⭐️⭐️⭐️I have always had a good experience with this hospital’s ER. I had to be admitted to their ER observation area tonight. The nurse Megan gave me a hard time and a bad attitude when I asked for the pain medicine that the Dr ordered for me; she was incredibly rude. Then, without explanation to me, she switched me over to the other nurse on the floor, Dena. I’m pretty appalled at the way I’ve been treated by these two. Megan treated me as if I was drug seeking, which is not the case. She refused to follow the orders put in the computer by the doctor, because she thought she knew better. And her bedside manner was atrocious. If I wanted to be mistreated by nurses, I’d just go to Sparrow.Frozen Baked GamingJanet took my call. Interrupted me the entire time . Very very poor customer service over the phone. Will never reccomend this placelast knightThe Staff are thinned out The Sent us to The Wrong Floor then we waited 9hours to be treated Correctly and she She Is 10 weeks pregnant they could hae took her a soon as possible Im Disappointed in the Hospital and the Staff managementDebbie MayThey get you in the ER fast, but this pending results room is ridiculous! 12 patients, plus family, sitting in an open room, nurses come in and distribute meds and talk about what you are here for in front of everyone, lots of noise, can hear ever conversation at the nurse station, every conversation of everyone in the room! Hate it! Instead of laying in a bed sleeping, you are in a “lounge” chair that barely leans back. Not a great environment for someone who has spent the past 12 hours vomiting. (Or anyone else for that matter). Been sitting here for2 hours, and I got here after the patient was in this area. Horrible! It’s cold, no pillow, nowhere to lay down. Do not reccomend this place at all.Shelby SmithI’ve never been treated so badly at a hospital. I went in for an allergic reaction to a medication and they treated me like all I wanted was drugs which by the way I did not ask for one time. I ended up falling in the bathroom because I could not walk and had to pull the help cord 5 times before some nurse came to ‘help’ me. They were acting like I was faking it even after my blood work came back and said I was having an allergic reaction. I don’t appreciate 2 snoby nurses looking at each other saying I was faking. Don’t go here unless you want to be treated badly and don’t actually want help because they won’t give it to you.paul nowicki⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedTook care of us promptly and accurately. Auburn consulting copier repair service and sales.Noel MillerWorst hospital I’ve ever been tooCourtneyWorst ER ever! Unless you like being treated like a cattle call
