St Luke’s Hospital Reviews

Before you go to St Luke’s Hospital, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Cedar Rapids emergency room think.

Cody L Not like anyone cares at St Lukes, but my 3 year old was seen today for a terrible cough and labored breathing. Brenda the registration lady indicated, along with the triage nurse Kimber to let them know of anything changed. An hour and a half in I saw him struggling to catch his breath so I mentioned it to Brenda at the front counter and she got all snappy with me! The nurse I’m charge told me that when Brenda called her she said we “wanted a recheck.” It seems this hospital has went from the best in Cedar Rapids to the absolute worst. Let’s not even mention the wait times of many hours! I had kids delivered here and this was always the place to go but something changed. Terrible place!Carolyn T⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedPleasant, caring, doctors and staff. Much better overall experience here, than the last visit I’ll ever make to Mercy was, hands down.Lisa Bockenstedt They turned me away when a bathroom stall collapsed on my head. I went to the er 3 times because I kept getting worse and on the 3rd time I had to be carried to a wheelchair and they still turned me away. All they did was a cat scan, I needed an MRI! They told me because I didn’t have insurance they only needed to do limited care, basically if you aren’t dying they give you limited care. They would have been payed by the law suite if they had just done the right thing! I’m still messed up 7 years later and kept getting turned away everywhere I went because I had no insurance at the time. I had to fight for disability and then I was finally eligible for insurance because I’m all messed up. Dont come here, all they care about is their bottom line! I hate st. Luke’s with a passion. They also killed my brother in law burning him from the inside out with radiation because the negligent doctor who didn’t leave good instructions. They were supposed to stop the radiation but they just kept putting it in him. WORST hospital ever!John Warren I came in for major leg pain on a friday afternoon they done nothing for me at all other than here take these pills an call a surgeon monday morning. I won’t ever be back again. Thanks for nothing St Luke’s HospitalL M⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedLove the way they care for their patients, unlike Mercy. Mercy was ABSOLUTELY the worst I was so appalled by the way they treated the elderly in?their “care”. St lukes is so so so helpful and make sure everything is ok.Kenny Woodall⭐️⭐️I feel like the people that work here don’t really care about you. The Dr comes and talks to you for 30 seconds, hardly let’s you get a word in, then leaves for an hour, then comes back in for 30 sec, leaves for another hour and finally someone comes in to give you papers and you still have a bunch of questions… Go to Mercy, they actually care about youJanell Sides Put a bandaid on it and send you home. 2 hrs later need to go back but why. Going to different hospital. Don’t waste your time.Dennis W⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat experience at St. Luke’s Hospital with vestibular OP therapy. Great, friendly team who were able to get me in immediately and at a low cost! Highly recommend St. Luke’s.Scott Kallemeyn⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe’ve been to St. Luke’s Birthcare Center on two different occasions and to Surgicare as well. The care is excellent, and the caregivers are amazing. We could not have imagined a better or safer place to go for our healthcare.CunningFox99 I waited over 2 hours to be seen, in the emergency room. People came in after me and were seen within 5-10 minutes, but I wasn’t seen at all, during the 2 hours I was there. I went to the emergency room for a reason. I wont be going back anytime soon.Anon Anonymous Go to a different hospital. Front desk woman has an attitude that has every patient that walks in talking and your wait time is at least and hour to 2 hours just to sit around without being seen yet that’s not counting how long it will take once you get into a room and finally seen by a doctor than discharged. Over all its a terrible hospital that shouldn’t even be running. Half of the nurses and doctors shouldn’t even be in practice.Nate Olsen⭐️⭐️Used to be top notch in the area. Has really gone down hillLaura Bishop⭐️⭐️Bad experience during hospital stay on the Orthopedic’s floor. Ignored me when I needed my bed pan changed. Nurses very unfriendly. Very disappointed and will not use this hospital again.Christopher Moressi⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedOf course I don’t like to be here, bur they have a good team of doctorsEric Rawson I’m glad you mediocrely solved a partial problemMaggie Clair⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Great hospital, take great care of patientsJaeson Kalmoni⭐️⭐️⭐️Not. Sure what to say…. It’s an E. R.Theresa Smith⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat staff
