Before you go to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Lewiston emergency room think.
Kayla Jones⭐️⭐️I wouldn’t recommend this hospital to my worst enemy. I used to choose them because they were fast, and usually very attentive. But the last few times I’ve been there have been AWFUL to say the least with long wait times, I was put into a back patient room for hours with no television or anything in it but a wall to stare at. The nurses were not empathetic in the slightest and got visibly annoyed with my curious 6 year old asking questions about what they were doing to me, and I waited 2 hours just to get a heated blanket, or any care while I was basically screaming in pain from the horrible migraines that I get. And tonight, I watched them discharge a loved one from the behavioral health unit after being there for only 4 hours (even after being told this person was a danger to themselves and had even said they did not have the will to live anymore and who is having a PTSD attack and hasn’t slept in a week causing delusions, paranoia, and much more) while the nurse is telling me that this person is coherent and calm and insisting to me he’s been seen by a doctor who said he is safe to be let go. This place does NOT care about anyone who doesn’t have good insurance that can pay them out of the a$$! It’s heartbreaking and I will never EVER bring myself or anyone I love to this joke of a hospital!Marta GainesWorthless, ignorant and shameful. Don’t go there unless you’re healthy. Either way they’ll send loved ones homes.mohammed adnan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThey take care of my daughter very well thank you very muchBrenda Dyment⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI love my St. Mary’s ❤️ This hospital help me when the other hospital just tried to feed me pills and send me home. If there is ever another Emergency my records show to take me straight away to St.. Mary’s. Neal MorinI missed 3 appointments in 5 years there and they discharged me. I’ve had 3 severe brain injuries in a couple years time and my problem is major memory loss. None of my missed appointments were intentional. They give you phone reminders two days early…… I go to bed, wake up and forget totally about them. I have reminders on my tablet, but I’m not always home when they go off. They were going to “review” my case then call me back…… they never did. You would think they would work with you and try to find a way to help. They don’t care about their patients plain and simple.Melanie CrooksThe hospital staff at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center post shameful and degrading comments about their patients… especially the disabled patients and post degrading comments about their medical issues! Shame on this so called medical staff! This hospital needs to be shut down!Barbara DavilmanWALL OF SHAME WALL OF SHAME WALL OF SHAME OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE???????Nick Brown⭐️⭐️⭐️They didn’t even triage.Susan PalmatierIs this the place that abuses disabled people?Destiny WarwickMy two year old was very sick so we brought her to the emergency department. After waiting in the waiting room for about an hour (which was fine, I expected a long wait), we were taken to a room. The nurse asked all her questions, took my daughter’s vitals, and said the doctor would be in soon. About a half hour later, he came in, asked some questions, looked in her ears, and said she had a virus. Give fluids, brat diet, rest, etc. Then we had to wait for discharge paperwork. This is where it turned ugly. After waiting about 45 minutes to be discharged, my daughter violently vomited all over herself, her dad, and the room. So I hit the call button, waited a minute for a voice to come over the speaker asking how they could help me. I told them she’s just thrown up again and the voice said “okay,” and clicked off. Ten more minutes pass and I stuck my head out the door to ask a doctor sitting there what is taking so long to get help. He looked like a deer in headlights, and that’s when I saw my daughter’s doctor finally approaching. He told us that our name was taken off the board so he thought we already left. He prescribed an anti nausea med and then left. Waited twenty more minutes for the nurse to come and give my daughter the pill, (while we were waiting she came in to let us know they lost our daughter’s chart and were trying to find it) then waited 40 more minutes for the discharge paperwork that never came. We left after spending four hours there (without being given discharge instructions). If I spent 4 hours at my job screwing up that bad, I’d be fired. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone.Liam ElliotWhile I was visiting Maine, I had to be taken to the hospital. I live in South Carolina. I’ve been trying to pay my bill since July. I’ve called like million times! Nobody answers the phone, every mail I get from them, I can’t do what it says cause I’m a South Carolina resident! This is going to ruin my flipping credit! Call me back!Melanie Judd⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFast service, thorough staff, quality care!john St.HilaireI have been having billing issues for the past 2 years. You cannot ever reach them. They direct you to leave name phone number and they will call you.I NEVER RECEIVE a callback!!! They separate every single procedure and will not consolidate when asked.I have filed complaint with BBB and am awaiting a response .Charles DrusillaThis is the most unprofessional staff I’ve ever seen from a hospital. I’d rather rely on 3rd world country medical care then to roll the dice with these nut jobs who should be admitted in the phsyc ward themseleves. The nurses on Wing A3 are a bunch of clowns dressed up as medical professionals. If you Are short on cash and want to see a circus..by all means call A3 at St Mary’s and watch the staff for a few hours..it’s better then watching a organ grinding monkey at the big top.Marilyn Rogers⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️My husband got very good care while there and they also are taking good care of him during his cardiac rehab.Kimberly MarieAfter having my daughter I was overwhelmed with bills from EACH doctor that saw both of us. The hospital itself bills separately too. I tried to work with them to consolidate it but they wouldn’t help me. They offer financial assistance but apply before being seen otherwise you’re assistance will only apply after you’ve been seen. The billing department is heartless and won’t call you back. I wouldn’t recommend this hospital to ANYONE.Troy Bernard⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe ER saved My life………A+challenger 3 challenger 3This hospital is shut. My mother fell and went to the hospital in the ER. I called to see how she was and what was going on. The lady at the desk when I called said, no one of that name was there. Hmmmm so I called back one hour later same thing. I asked if she even typed her name in. So mad at this point I called my moms house. They had just got back and my mother has a broken collarbone and they were at that hospital at that time I called. Calling tomorrow to speak to a supervisor.R FeymanThe competent doctors are usually visiting from other states and the billing department makes constant mistakes. Lost count of the number of hours I have spent with spreadsheets and on the phone fixing errors. A doctor told me something I know to be not true. It is sad when your patient (not a doctor) knows more about the medical science than you do. Yes, the landscape changes rapidly in medical but that is what you get paid for. When my mother was admitted to the hospital for a few days, her information was left out for everyone to see multiple times. When she was signing out they accidentally handed her another patient’s file. They are a walking HIPAA violation. Finally, the hospital is connected to the Catholic church and refuses to provide some services for religious reasons. In fact one of their doctors refused to refill my FDA approved medication I have been on for years and said I just needed to go to church?Viola MurphyThe staff was not the greatess when my mom was dying and one of the cleaning ladys was rude when my family was sitting in the waiting room waitingRobert MiduraWaited 4 hour in there St Mary’s Auburn quick care, just to be little by the doctor and than accusing my PC of foul play. The guy didn’t even bother to listen. It was an appointment; it was a interrogation. I actually walked out on the doctor, I was so offend. Try to calling management they play phone transfer and found my self at an end of a dial tone. Wont be going back there ever.Jessica BrownSt Mary’s has gone down hill, I always chose this hospital over CMMC because we were always in and out!! But tonight I’ve been here with my son for over 3 hours!! Everyone I’ve seen has made it a point to say how swamped they are, yet the parking lot is empty, multiple empty beds, the same 3 nurses have been sitting outside our room since we arrived, gabbing and playing on their phones, they haven’t moved in 3 hours!! The Dr left 30 mins ago, said a nurse would be right in with my son’s script and meds!! The only people who are earning their keep is house keeping!!Beth Goodvin⭐️⭐️⭐️Had the worse discharge nurse. Instead of helping me and answering my questions she proceeded to talk about her daughter going to college and how sad she was. I actually had her multiple times during my stay and she was very unhelpful with everything. Many other issues with my stay there. I sadly will not suggest going there to others.Christy Nelson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedExcellant Behavioral Health Unit.Cynn Badd⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe only place I go to when I’m dying.
