St. Petersburg General Hospital Reviews

Before you go to St. Petersburg General Hospital, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this St. Petersburg emergency room think.

Annie Bradbury I came to this hospital in pain and scared. I was seen by an older female doctor in the emergency department. She was very quick to judge me and did, what I feel to be, the bare minimum to accomplish her job. She ran a basic blood and urine test. When these came back negative she sent me home…. in pain and scared. Luckily, I acted as my own advocate and went to another hospital for help. There I learned I was suffering from a massive infection and was treated properly. I do not recommend this hospital sadly because of one doctors ignorance and negligence.Percy Watkins⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEveryone was great. Very attentive, informative, and friendly. ThanksMaddi Newburg Lobby wait time was not bad, but once you get past the doors it’s another story. I was there for an ankle injury. They never even let me see or talk to a doctor even though I had questions and concerns. When I brought these concerns up to the nurse she was very condescending and rude. Things seemed very disorganized. My discharge paperwork is for a pediatric patient with an ankle injury?? It says my child has an ankle sprain? I’m 26 and wasn’t there for or with my kids… I also have a chiari malformation which is known to cause balance issues and they put me on crutches. The discharge people saw me struggling bad. Just all around bad experience.Cameron M My daughter came here with a twisted knee and all they basically did was give her an ice pack, a Motrin and some crutches. I guess the facility isn’t equipped for MRI’s like we’re used to in the Portland area. No Rx for something stronger for the pain because “they don’t do that”. Like my daughter would travel literally from the other side of the country and injure herself just so she’d get pain meds? Tylah Jordan⭐️⭐️The lady who takes X-rays was Ana big she ya the reason they even have a star. And the security when you walk in is the other reason. Overall you’re not going to feel welcomed or comfortable. They have their own conversation about payroll and the budget. Not once did anyone come check on me. When she brought me meds she brought a half cup of water. The simple things in life matter. Like maybe a full glass of water. My whole time waiting they discussed the things they disliked about the hospital. I understand getting it off your chest but there’s a time and place for everything. I honestly feel like I would be a major inconvurnce to them to ask for water. This whole time I’m typing this no one has said a word. You would think they would use professional language. NOPE. Profanity like I’m not even here. No respect to their surroundings. I hope I never have to come. And if your looking for a warm hospital to spend your many hours choose somewhere else. Oh. Vending machine snacks are stale.Andrew Bonsignori Honestly terrible. The wait was fine, but the staff were so condescending and rude. A nurse bent my arm while I had the IV in and I think she was trying to tell me I could bend my arm with it in but I was in incredible pain for the next 2 hours. When they finally listened to me saying that, they said it’s because I bent my arm with the IV in it, even if they were the ones who did that to me. When they took out the IV, the tip was bent. The doctor didn’t believe I was in pain, barely tried to check anything, and insisted it was cramps even though I had a stomachache for 2 weeks straight and it got so intense I could hardly function. I came in for stomach pain and left with stomach and arm pain. Stomach pain went on for days, but oh well, I’m totally fine, Doc! This was my first time in an ER and I decided I’d rather die than go there again, and I think the staff would prefer that too, to be honest.David Nix⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat place, came in with a kid with a really bad sunburn and they got us taken care of so fast, and were very friendly!!!Cindy Bartlett Terrible hospital. I will never return.Marie Fishkeeper⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Best ER for trauma but if you expect any communication from staff or doctors about your condition this isn’t the place to go
