Before you go to Stuart H. Blanck Emergency Center, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Royal Oak emergency room think.
Wendy Ross⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWhile I arrived very early in the morning, I only waited 30 minutes to be called and about 25 more to see a P.A. Each staff member who I interacted with was kind and professional. They took very good care of me at this location. A patient care manager stopped by my room twice to make sure I had everything I needed. If you’re like me and you look at Google reviews to figure out where to get care for an urgent issue that’s technically a non-emergency but could be …then you will be misled by previous reviews. These professionals know what they are doing and they care.James GAbsolutely horrible ER care, I’ve had better treatment and care in Afghanistan. Came in with a laceration. Sat 3 and a half hours. Nurse or doctor never introduced themselves. They check blood pressure, never asked what my pain level was. Never cleaned the wound before covering with gauze. Advised them the wound is swelling and needed ice. Never given. I had to litterly go to the ice machine by the coffee pot and put it in my dirty rag. Then we were sent back to the waiting room where I complained and said it could be another hour or more before we would get treated. Absolutely horrible.Sam WhitehouseStill waiting with a friend for 4 hours still not seen by a doctor. It is amazing how long it takes to see a professional in an “emergency” room. I have great faith in Beaumont’s medical care but their ER is a failure. Hope no one dies waiting for helpDan ZyrowskiI heard from staff, Monday and Tuesday are the busiest days. I arrived 8pm on Tuesday, at 12am I asked time and they said 27 people were still ahead of me, so I cut my bracelet and left. The lady next to me said she was there for 10 hours. Sorry I can’t rate how treatment is, but I never got that far . I had an infected tooth that was spreading.Rae Stephenson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedCaring, kind staff. Everything was less invasive and painful than anticipated, as all staff seemed to know what they were doing well.Matt houseI know the ER is never a quick in and out but my brother was there for 20 hours! He was admitted around 3 am and did not see a social worker until 1 pm. I understand that social workers are not there 24/7 but still…..ridiculous. Nurses hardly checked on him and resident doctor had his head up his arse. Not impressed and will never return. This place is a joke, Troy Beaumont is way better.Richard BetsonMy wife is sitting in the lobby with IV in her arm, waiting to see a doctor and waiting for a bed going on nine hours. She has heart problems has not been giving any meds or fluids. This is very heartless they need to spend their money on expanding the ER and getting more beds, this is not serving the public in a better wayDenise BoyerThe worst ever!!!!! Arrived at 10pm, still here at 6am, waiting on xrays. Haven’t seen a doctor yet, just a nurse!!! Staff is over worked! This is crazy! Never again will I go to Beaumont – Royal OakYoko DoloReally deserves no stars put all this money into a building when u need to invest in staff no one should have to suffer in a waiting room unattended and unaknowledged after signing in for hrs i cane in with chest pains and complication of breathing at 4 and sat for over 5 hrs without a word from anyone rather die in a parking lot then go back…..still waiting. To even be seenHala Orlowskilong wait for patient in waiting area. Was given oxygen because of trouble breathing. Equipment failed to accurately measure oxygen saturation. Had to ask nurse to call for a doctor to see her but nurse said she had to finish testing with a very perturbed expression on her face. Second demand to see a doctor was made and finally he arrived. He asked a few questions of the patient who was too breathless to give her history. Ordered respiratory treatment and and chest X-ray. Ordered medication and left. I had to demand that he talk to me. When I told him that she had a hx of mitral valve insufficiency. He then focused on cardiac and quickly checked testing results and ordered appropriate measures. I think Beaumont ER is too big, not enough communication. Treated pt and me rudely. Admitted. Care excellent.Cher’This is getting to be the worst hospital around and after coming here since 1972 the year i was born i am seriously considering changes health facilities which is sad. Emergency room is more like urgent care. My son excruciating pain and another female lying on floor and they told both along with 30 others waiting two hours wait. She called and Ambulance and left and went to providence. These big new fancy remodels do lot make up for the horrible service or uncaring staff when one is feeling their lowest!!! Get it together before you lose a patient and I’m not talking about leaving.. I’m talking about their life due to your carelessness!!!!Tiwana BilbreyMy husband had a bicycle accident we think he broke his arm/shoulder we have been in the waiting room area of the ER for 4 hours! He is in severe pain! They said he should be back there soonKora LeeCurrently have waited 7 hours to see one triage doctor and get blood drawn. Was sent back to the waiting room where I still currently reside. There is no body updating, no information. Ridiculous.Matthew JaremaTerrible experience. Have waited 6 hours so far in lobby only to see a nurse once. No sight of doctor around. Blood from a patient has been left on the floor for the past 4 hours.X O⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedExcellent experience at the ER. Staff was amazing!James KennethWorst hospital of ALL TIME. 5 HOUR wait and it shows no signs of getting better. A worker said every day is at least that. Terrible staff and not even worth the wait.Fannie DesbiensHorrible experience so far. We only came here because the ER doctor at another hospital sent us here. After 4 hours they finally took my boyfriend over to xrays… which we don’t even need since we are only here for a CT that the other hospital couldn’t do. I had to get upset just to finally make them move. He was screaming in pain and nobody even bothered to check on him. The previous ER said it’s a tibial plateau fracture or torn meniscus and we’re only here to confirm which one it is and yet they drew blood, which they just finally disposed of after it had been on the table since we got here. I had to threaten to leave for them to finally do something. The staff doesn’t seem to care about their job at all. Don’t come here unless you absolutely have toDag NastyI really want to avoid saying negative things about this emergency room but it was a grueling experience. Most of the nurses and doctors I spoke with were extremely helpful and attentive. Unfortunately it seemed like nothing was getting done the whole time I’ve been here. (Still here right now) I came in at about 6:50 pm on a Monday, waited in the waiting room for an hour and a half. Got brought back to take my blood pressure then put back out in the waiting room for another 45 minutes. A nurse brought me back finally to a room then he left. I waited talked to another nurse then waited in the room for a doctor to see me. And now have been waiting after that just for a f***ing X-ray. It’s now 11:30pm and all I came in for was an X-ray on my obviously swollen right knee. Im frustrated by the people who keep coming by the room telling me to “hold tight” I’m in pain and I wasted my time and money coming to this place when I could’ve just iced and stayed at home and rested.Steve M⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis team is awesome, professional and treated my girlfriend with absolute care. Went in for possible Bell’s palsy and this team of doctors were so incredibly efficient, kind, and incredibly informative. This is a great team here!Raynard TaylorHere over 3 hours and still no one seen me im in very bad pain wish i would have went to another hospital .worst emergency waiting room everWilliam Bower⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBetter to be waiting in the waiting room or in the ER than at home wondering what’s causing abdominal pain. Entered ER lobby at 4 pm; discharged at 11 pm. Had blood panel, urinalysis, CAT scan, ultrasound, and saline drip. Staff was friendly, attentive, and put up with my nervous chatter. Dr. Filips explained my situation with words that mostly made sense to me. He answered all my questions and 2 or 3 that I feared asking. I departed with prescriptions to counter nausea and pain. Was 7 hours too long? I would have preferred 3 hours but the various procedures, including analyzing test results, can proceed only so fast. Hurry up and make a mistake? No thanks. Considering all that I went through, I think I could have been out in maybe 5.5 hours. But I’d rather stay in the ER for too long a time than be kicked to the curb too soon. I napped for most of the extra time, and that was good. Well done, Beaumont and Dr. Filips. I’d like to mention ER staff professionals, but I can’t remember their names.Joelle SandersI’ve been waiting on the waiting room for over 3 hours. This is completely unacceptable. I would never recommend this emergency room, EVER. The staff was completely disrespectful. When a patient would check in and leave two seconds later the staff would laugh and joke about the patient. I didn’t feel safe or comfortable. This emergency room is a JOKE.The Xo ShowIt took almost 5 hours after being transported from Beaumont of Groose Pointe for the Doctor to slow , on a slow night. Employees are rude and uneducated on proper procedure when explaining EVERYTHING before asking for a signature of consent. I’ll be giving my business to the DMC. Horrible experience here…AnonymousEvery single time I come it’s 4-5 hours average and no explanation at all as to what is wrong. (Even when they told me they would call me with results, no call at all and hounding them down for hours a day with no response). They want endless tests for no reason that are absolutely unnecessary and don’t pertain to issue. Update: it’s been 7 hours total. 2-3 hours waiting for the doctor to just give me discharge papers. This hospital is ridiculous. BEWARE.Jeffrey PawlowskiUnderstaffed. Overworked.Kathryn Foster⭐️⭐️Called TO SPEAK TO ER nurse Mary June. 5 rings and srrvice hung up.Jay Dub⭐️⭐️Very slow and rude..If you can go somewhere else .Nertil HykaI was kept in emergencies for 24 hours because there was no neurologist. at first they said you will stay overnight and in the morning the doctor will come around 7:30 am to 9 am but the doctor came at 6 pmGlenn Everittarrived at 7:45pm now 10:45pm still haven’t seen a doctor…3 hour wait in the emergency room wish we had gone somewhere elseSteven PDirty..There are NO DOCTORS HERE..its all resident’s..they drag everything out to drain your wallet.THIS IS A MONEY MAKING MACHINE……periodAshley SThey will let u die before you see a doctor not to mention rude and judgmental staff and doctors!!!Tony Greening⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff at Beaumont are the best! The nurses, doctors, and support staff provide excellent care are advocates for their patients.Crystal RidleyThis hospital post that their er what times averages 24 minutes. I brought my brother in with issues with his digestive system that he’s been hospitalized for in the past. We’ve been waiting in this waiting room for about 45 mind. He has been vomiting and the hospital staff didn’t even offer a bowl for him to vomit in. The hospital error is veer short staffed Ann’s the people that are here working are just sitting around. Very poor service and it makes no since.Jodie Smiddy – Batten⭐️⭐️⭐️The reason that I only gave three stars is because William Beaumont’s Emergency Room has not changed since 1986—87! My Granny had a horrific cancer Acute Myeloid Leukemia and even though her Oncologist and or her Hematologist would call ahead to speed up the wait time in the ER because she needed a blood transplant we could be waiting for over 8 hours just to get her on the Cancer floor. My son was injured as a Caddy at Red Run it took them 3 hours before he was stitched up! My Mom now has a few chronic illnesses and one or two could cause death. She went to Beaumont’s Royal Oak and it’s now 6 hours and 45 minutes and she is not on a medical floor as of yet.Lost philosophyThey take Forever. I could have waited to go to the doctor. The emergency room was empty yet I waited from 11pm-5am. Is that ok?Bella SpankeyThey never answer!
