Before you go to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Las Vegas emergency room think.
Kathy Clark⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was a patient long ago and this time I was an outpatient. My husband and I were greeted by an employee singing! Never had that before. So many wonderful nurses, assistants while I was their, smiling faces who cared about my well being! This city is very fortunate to have Sunrise. Many heartfelt thanks to all.michelle atkins⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy experience was top notch. My Doctor Ward was the best. Josh, the nurse Anesthetist was fabulous to. Cherry was my check in nurse and I can say they all love their patients. This was my second surgery at Sunrise and if I need another one, that is the hospital to be at. Thank you all for the TLC I received.John Hanson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFrom the moment I walked into Sunrise Hospital it was quite evident I was welcome. The knowledgeable and welcoming staff to the décor and playing piano was a nice touch. From that welcoming it all went uphill. When called I was escorted to the proper CAT SCAN waiting room where I was again escorted to the room where the CAT SCAN took place. There the staff was friendly but professional. Overall a very enjoyable visit. Evan my wife was impressed (and that’s a hard sell in itself.)John H. Russell⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis is one of the best hospitals I have ever experienced. The facility itself was exceptionally nice and very well kept. Every member of the staff I met were very helpful and pleasant. The nurses were all so wonderful and happy. They made me feel like I was in a place where I was going to receive the finest care available to anyone! That is exactly what I did receive too! I am so thankful to have been sent to a place where everyone were happy to do anything to make me as comfortable as anyone could!Benny Bautista⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis was my first major surgery in my medical history. I was not sure what to expect, but the staff and I mean the whole staff greeted me with a smile and positive attitude. The information that was relayed to me from the morning I arrived through the procedure to the moment I was transferred to the rehabilitation floor was amazing. The medical, nursing and management staff of Sunrise Hospital treated me with professionalism and respect and for that I’m grateful. Thank you all.Clifford Shank⭐️⭐️⭐️I thought that the operating personnel was very pleasant and competent. Then, I was thrown to the dogs after the procedure, fortunately, only for one day. It was my second visit and I had by second overnight for a similar procedure. The mattress on my bed reminds me of garden furniture because it was so thin and flimsy.Bedding is simply a pile of sheets. There is no way that I could find to anchor this mis-aligned collection. They seemed determined that I use a urinal, instead of walking to the toilet, of which I was quite competent. Finally, the whole place seemed sadly under-staffed. The later is not to say that I have any serious complaints about the state. All staff members seemed competent and very caring. They were just swimming upstream.Diane Jackson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI love this hospital my husband was there for surgery and everyone there was kind and very professional every and anything we needed staff was there for us. Unfortunately my husband had to go to the icu. First time I have ever seen a hospital with a Rescue Rapid Response Team. With state of the art equipment. If I ever needed a hospital to go to this is the one for me I do highly recommend it. KUDOS to you Sunrise..Keep your sun rising in continuing to help the ill.Laramee Gore⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was an inpatient for 31 days at sunrise, I needed thyroid surgery and I have B cell lymphoma and I am a nurse also and it was a wonderful experience. I was treated exceptionally well, the Doctors and the nurses were extremely knowledgeable and very experienced in treating cancer patients. I have never been treated better at any hospital, and not just the nurses but all the ancellory staff. Housekeeping the nursing assistants the technicians everyone. I know my hospital stay would have been much worse if it had not been for the wonderful staff at sunrise. It’s a great hospital and I recommend it to everyone who needs hospital care.Paddy green⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Team member on 3 rd floor where very considerate, compassionate, caring and responded to your needs. However, I asked several times to have me PC doctor notified that I was a patient there. I was assured he would be notified. He never was. My PC doctor is on staff there and it is the reason I went there instead of the closes facility but I wanted to be treated by my own physician too. I realized that the days I came to Sunrise the ER was extremely busy. I spent 27 hours in the hallway on a gurney as did others because no beside were available. Internal Medicine physician and his assistant took excellent care of me . No complaints there. I was admitted for COPD exacerbation. The next time I will notify my own doctor myself. I did not appreciate being told her would be notified.Cathy Gilligan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️From pre-op to recovery, and up to my hospital room, the entire staff was wonderful. Everyone made sure to introduce themselves and make sure I understood what was happening and that I was comfortable. My nurses on the Adult Oncology floor, Jenn and Amanda, were AMAZING !!! They made sure to communicate everything to me and did everything they could to be sure my stay was as pleasant as a hospital stay could be.Marie Haynie⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe entire staff from the valet who parked our car to the ladies who checked me in were efficient and caring. The nursing staff and technicians were also very efficient and caring and had a great sense of humor, which was important because i was stressed out. I cannot say enough about my surgeon, doctor sirulnick. Thanks to all of you.Mike MacArthur⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I love all the staff that have helped me. Absolutely everyone is kind, helpful and professional. The nurses and doctors take the time to explain everything about my care. Also this hospital is very clean with plenty of hand sanitizer available. Now for my only complaint the parking situation is horrible. That being said I would have to think twice before going to Sunrise Hospital and that is a shame because I really love the staff. Thank You for listening. Beth MacArthurCarol Delaney⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedLoved the new wing….the big window from ceiling to floor. …great view of the sunset. Nurses were very attentive and meals weren’t bad at all. ..especially the dessert!Angie Quarles⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAdmitted for a total knee replacement and from the moment I arrived to day I left, I received Excellent, Compassionate, and thorough care! I am Thankful that Las Vegas has a Hospital of this quality for people to go to! Highly recommended! Terry Woods⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI am a veteran and was transferred to Sunrise Hospital from the VA Hospital to have a procedure done that, because of the Christmas Holidays, they couldn’t do. I was treated with great respect and by all Sunrise staff. They weren’t able to do the procedure for two days, but took very good care of me.Lisa Jensen⭐️⭐️I was there for an outpatient procedure. Everything went fine and it was great. Afterward, I was told I was being admitted for observation. It took the NA at least an hour before I received water. I was finished with the bed pan and I waited 20” to have it removed. Nurse light wasn’t answered for quite a while. They were busy and probably short staffed but an explanation would have been nice.Abe_kari_kaimana Souza⭐️⛔️ ER Not RecommendedI delivered my son here and it would have been a 5 star review being doctors and nurses were amazing however the employee that was in charge of birth certificate and social security card not only misspelled my son’s name, she didn’t include his middle name!! My husband and I went over the name with her TWICE she had us refill out the form TWICE and it was still wrong! I am disgusted and angry beyond words.THE MURIC FAMILY SERIES⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedJustin C. Paramedic in adult intake area, he’s amazing. So kind.. you don’t come across souls so carrying and wanting to give care… Thank You Justin with glasses. Stay in the medical field we need more like you!Valcarion Sabers⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went in for open inguinal hernia surgery on the 19th of December, and I was terrified. This was my very first surgery, and I also have a sever needle phobia that has cause problems for even simple blood tests. The staff at Sunrise was amazing! They walked me through every step, and were so kindhearted and caring. They made me feel comfortable in what I consider one of the most uncomfortable situations I could be put in. I am very thankful for the staff, nurses, doctors, and surgeons at Sunrise. I felt like I was surrounded by family, and they made me feel truly cared for. Thank you Sunrise!Daniel Aguilar-Saldana⭐️⛔️ ER Not RecommendedMe and my siblings were all born at this hospital, but over the years the service has gone down hill. We’ve been to the ER 3 times in the last 2 years and the staff is just rude and unorganized. Aside from that the doctors in the back will give you and BS excuse to get you out of the hospital. My sister spent 2 hours sitting in a chair in a corner( with chest pain ) waiting for a doctor when she was admitted to the back only to be forgotten. 2 hours passed by and 1 of the nurses looks shock to see her just sitting there she gets a doctor he says give her some Tylenol and she’ll be fine. We ended up driving to Henderson hospital where she actually got the attention she needed.Johnny Stone⭐️⛔️ ER Not RecommendedOne of the worst hospital experiences I have ever had. Dr.Michael Tan is a joke. I don’t know how he got his Degree. This guy is a joke. The staff doesn’t even want to help you, like your an inconvenience. I love that mentality, your paying for my job but I don’t want to help you. Avoid this place.Michael Beckner⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMind you, going to the hospital is no one’s favorite thing; but if they had an experience like mine they wouldn’t mind it nearly as much. Everyone at Sunrise Hospital was great. Highly professional, highly skilled and all the while kind and caring. What more can you ask for from your care givers?Dan Collier⭐️⛔️ ER Not RecommendedPersonally I found this to be the worst hospital I’ve ever seen. My wife was sent there for a stroke and although the doctor finally got around to removing the clot from her brain, the after care especially was a nightmare. The response time for asking for nurse assistance was either slow or non-existent. Same with the blinking warning lights and buzzers on the monitors, as well as clearing my wife’s throat out when she was hacking up phlegm, causing it to go into her lungs, which landed her in the intensive-care unit, and also, because of lousy response time, I felt the need to spend the nights in the room as a first-responder having lost confidence in the nurses there, who seemed to all be new at their profession… I even saw one nurse install my wife’s oxygen line into her nose upside-down, causing a drop in her needed oxygen. And the nurses’ response to me for hunting them down was that of annoyance. It was a skeleton crew on watch in the evenings. I watched as they sat at their desks, ignoring the various monitors beeping warnings from various patients. I alerted one fellow who was at a computer about the screaming monitor and he said he knew nothing about it, because he’s just a student. No response. We never saw the same doctor more than once. In the end,, they recommended that my wife be sent home under hospice care, and when they shipped her home on a Friday, they didn’t even provide food for me to feed her through her feeding tube. So my wife went the entire weekend with no food nor water.. I asked the Harmony Hospice nurse why didn’t the hospital provide some food at least over the weekend, and she just shrugged her shoulder.. Very nightmarish experience. If this is the best stroke hospital that Nevada has to offer, then we’re in serious trouble! This is my solemn opinionEm⭐️⛔️ ER Not RecommendedA doctor that gets wasted before delivering an innocent child? Nurses that are okay with this behavior? I think I’ll take myself, my family and my money to a place where I know we will be safe. Everyone involved should be terminated and exposed.Janet goodiel⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe nurses on the fourth floor were outstanding in every way. We wanted for nothing. The hospital let me stay in my husbands room while he was there. The attending physicians were informative and compassionate. We were glad we were there. My husband is doing great.Tammy Powell⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Despite the remodeling (boo!), Sunrise Hospital has the nicest and best staff of any medical facility here in Las Vegas. Thank you ten fold, for being so nice to us. It was a short procedure and we felt like Royalty from the staff Front Door Reception (WOW!) , Sign In, RN who hooked him up for vitals prep for surgery, All the Docs, CNA’s, etc……. XOXOCatherine Mccall⭐️⛔️ ER Not RecommendedThe worst hospital I have been in in 62 of my years on this earth. In the er they sit you in the lobby to die. When you get into the back they will have you sit until you complain. Then when done back to sitting in the lobby. This will most definitely be my last time here. They will call you back and start an IV and won’t even tell you what’s wrong then you have to ask to speak to a Dr. Now I’m sitting in some hard chairs in the back with a IV and was told let me check and see if there is a bed. Been sitting here for an hour and nothing. I can’t take this I’m about to check myself outRobert Lowe⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️CARING DEDICATED STAFF HAMPERED BY WORK OVERLOAD ON FLOOR !! The rehab staff and doctors were especially knowledgeable & great at motivating patients to achieve realistic goals formulated to meet each patients specific life challenges upon discharge. Unfortunately, hospital lacks private rooms for rehab patients which at times could make getting adequate rest difficult when patient sharing room ii in significantly more physical distress or discomfort comfort. also, due to -6- half hour therapy sessions daily and multiple doctors consulting on various aspects of patients diagnosis, therapy , or ongoing surgical recovery or treatment -patient experience varied significantly depending on current roomate. However, all of the doctors and staff went out of their way to treat patients’ family members with courtesy & respect & to explain patients diagnosis & treatment options.Food was served promptly at designated times and was both flavorful and served at proper temperatures. Only issues were slow response times to pressing nurse call button & fact that when would call in to floor to ck on status patient – often had to call repeatedly as phones were seldom answered promptly & as there was no way dial patient rooms on Physical THERAPY UNIT directly this was frustrating & could be worrisome depending on patients condition.m B⭐️⛔️ ER Not RecommendedThis is absolutely the worst hospital I have ever been at. Avoid at all costs. sitting for two days in a chair in a room meant for 1 in the ER with 4 other people receiving substandard care. Men and woman. Felt very vulnerable with men in a closed room with me and other women all night with the lights out. When you call for a nurse it takes forever to come even as a man was disrobing and pulling out his IV. There were no toilet seat protectors in the one shared bathroom for the whole ER. Blood all over the sink and on the door handle. Most of the nurses have an attitude and are obviously very unhappy and don’t care about the patients. Even heard them discussing amongst themselves how much they hate their job and how much other nurses make in other countries Had to ask for 5 hours for a blanket and ice chips. The doctors will not take the time to explain your condition or treatment plan no matter how much you ask. The doctors do not communicate your care amongst themselves. Besides a couple of nurses on the floor, the nurses didn’t seem to care. Took forever to answer the call light and hours to get meds. One CNA was complaining of all her health issues for 20 minutes. I had to console her. Aren’t I the patient? The worst week of my life. This is just a brief overview of the hell hole this place is.Cody Latuda⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had two cysts removed from my uvula. The staff at sunrise were very friendly and very attentive to my needs. They made sure the priorities on the card were met with no problems. Glad I got my surgery here.Dennis Dady⭐️⛔️ ER Not RecommendedHospital was appalling, filthy and mostly unfriendly. There was very few who actually seem to care or were courteous at all. I have never seen a bigger disarray in the way they handle patience’s. I was there 24 hours 2 3 hours in a waiting room chair, 13 hours in a recliner not admitted. I had 3 tests ran in that total time and saw 2 doctors for a total of 5 minutes. Neither of the 2 doctors actually examined me. I feel they admitted me at the last minute just to be able to charge my insurance company. I never changed from my street clothes, this includes the hour I was in an MRI machine. My arms look like a 1st year student tried taking blood for their first time. As soon as I was cleared to fly I got out of there. My suggestion to anyone needing medical treatment, go directly to the airport and fly else where.Paula Zuchowski⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI am so impressed with this hospital. The nurses are very knowledgeable & friendly. I felt like i was in very capable hands.Shonte’s Channel⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had my surgery on Monday morning at 7 am November 18th Dr. Bernie Hanna was my surgeon… everyone at Sunrise Hospital from doctor’s to the nurses that we’re assigned to my care we’re excellent. Everyone was very friendly kind informative before doing anything or giving me anything. They made me feel extremely comfortable and safe no complications I had a private room and I was able to get rest… Thank you Sunrise Hospital for taking such Incredible care of me and my mom. Yolanda Shonte’ Herringron minor⭐️⭐️being woke up at 1am in the morn to be moved to another room, which by the way, had a dialysis machine all night for the other patient did not go over well for me. Was told the room needed maintenance, only to find a new patient now in the room I was moved from. Will never come back to Sunrise. Docs and Nurses were great… but who ever runs things there, seems to feel a room is more important than the patient.Shellie⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Staff are kind. Traffic/parking is atrocious. All the construction going on causes absolute chaos. The front door not allowing visitors/patients out and making them exit through the ER causes even more havoc. I can see funneling everyone in through the ER for safety sake, but why not still let people leave through the door closest to their vehicle to cause less of a panic situation from getting lost? Multiple employees, from maintenance to nursing and physicians all politely offered help finding our way through the construction nightmare, which was so nice. THANK YOU to all the kind souls who offered directional help.Rashunda Johnson⭐️⭐️⭐️The wait was too long. There wasn’t a sense of comfort ability. Seemed like the nurses and doctors were just there for a job and not to help people. There were people in there who had been waiting forn6 hours. I believe they do that to milk their insurance. Ridiculous if you ask me! I went to Mountain View and it was much quicker and even if they were faking it, it did seem like they cared.Marc Le Starge⭐️⛔️ ER Not RecommendedIf I could rate this Hospital for Adult ER a ZERO I WOULD!!!! This Hospital is very poorly managed and the treatment that was administered to my oldest sister (44yrs old) was absolutely unprofessional in so so so many ways. She came in to this Hospital via Medical Ambulatory Transport from Henderson Hospital transfer with her NECK TRIPLED IN SIZE ON THE LEFT SIDE, SHE IS A HEART PATIENT WITH DIABETES AND THEY LEFT HER TO DIE OR HEAL ON HER OWN FOR ALMOST 17-DAYS BEFORE ACTUALLY DOING SOME FORM OF SURGICAL TREATMENT. THE E.N.T. DOCTOR WAS A COMPLETE P.R.I.C.K. TO MY SISTER AND THEN TOLD HER SHE WAS GOING TO BE DISCHARGED FROM THE HOSPITAL AFTER HER SURGERY WHICH WAS DONE LESS THAN 6-HOURS AND WAS GOING TO BE LEAVING WITHOUT ANY CHANGING AND CLEANING OF THE WOUND AREA, WAS DISCHARGED WITHOUT HIM GIVING HER ANY PAIN MEDICATION AND NO PAIN MEDICATION PRESCRIPTIONS THAT SHE COULD TAKE AT HOME DURING THE RECOVERY OF THE SURGERY THEY PERFORMED. NOT EVEN ANY ANTIBIOTICS OR GAUZE PADS TO TAKE HOME SO SHE COULD CLEAN AND RECOVER THE WOUND HERSELF. THEY PUSHED HER IN A WHEELCHAIR TO THE ER EXIT/ENTRY DOORS OUTSIDE THE HOSPITAL AND MADE HER WAIT IN THE COLD WEATHER FOR HOURS UNTIL SOMEONE WAS ABLE TO PICK HER UP TO TAKE HER HOME. THIS HOSPITAL TRULY SUCKS AND SHOULDNT BE ALLOWED TO TREAT SICK, HURT, OR DYING PEOPLE LIKE THIS, MUCH LESS EVEN BE CALLED A HOSPITAL AT ALL CAUSE ALL THEY DID IS CUT UP MY SISTERS NECK AND COLLECTED MONEY FROM HER INSURANCE AND WHEN THEY USED UP ALL THE MONEY THE INSURANCE WAS WILLING TO PAY, THAT WAS THE END OF IT….. TRY YOUR BEST TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE TRULY INTERESTED IN BRING TREATED WITH TRUE CARE AND RESPECT, AND HELPED WITH YOUR DOCTORS TRYING THEIR BEST TO NOT CREATE ANY HARM TO YOU OR YOUR LOVED ONES.Linda Bradford Christian⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe charge nurse treated me like her own daughter. I will be forever grateful for their heart felt care of me.Daniel Sullivan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI felt very comfortable at Sunrise. Everybody was kind and reassuring. I had my left shoulder worked on. From the time I went to sleep till I woke up in recovery I felt min uncomfortable feeling. Felt like going to a completely different hospital.brenda doe kathman⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedUltimate treatment and care from the ER to ICU. Doctors explained things in layman’s terms where I understood. Nurses were amazing and attentive. Renee Dang shined… she made things easier upon my discharge with her effortless compassion. I’ve been in and out of hospitals from military, VA, civilian and my care was excellent.Sean Kilmurray [Dickens ES]⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have had over 30 surgeries at various hospitals and I can say that my experience at Sunrise hospital was the BEST! The nurses were phenomenal! Lorna my intake nurse took care of me and made me feel at ease. She was great with my wife and mother too! She was caring and so compassionate. Every employee of the hospital that we came across during my procedure was positive, kind, and caring. If I could give 10 stars instead of 5 I would! Thank you Sunrise hospital for taking such good care of me!kaitlyn lotshaw⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe nurses that took care of me during my stay were great! They really made me feel comfortable and I appreciate that.Jessica Edwards⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI just had a hysterectomy and I have never been around a more fun, lively, and bubbly bunch of people. From having the best care to the worst ! The nurses all seem like they hate their job and treats us with bad attitudes. Instead of being supportive they give you bad looks and don’t even ask if you need anything. The delivering room looked so scary like a surgery room ! When I delivered my first born it was completely different much nicer and best nurses ever now it’s a complete mess!!!! Don’t have your babies here you will feel worst !Tia Murray⭐️⛔️ ER Not RecommendedReferred here from CareNow urgent care after being there for two hours told us that we would have less of a wait when we arrived. We checked in and somehow his name was lost from the check in list still waiting 4 hours later. Never coming here again. If I could give no stars I would.Janet Ngo⭐️⛔️ ER Not RecommendedJust saw a video on FB about a doctor was in a bar and got on call to delivery a baby. Also seen people comments about how bad they have experienced in this hospital. As a student who is studying as pre-nursing I am so frustrated about these people who working without a heart.Jeston&Stephanie Schultz⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI walked in and the whole process took maybe 20 minutes. I was seen twice diagnosed and given the antibiotics and paperwork and was out. The nurses were excelent and i even left my keys. But tge security had found them and i gotem back right away. 20 minutes. U cant beat thatTheresa Noone⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEveryone was friendly and professional from pre-registration reception all the way through to discharge couldn’t ask for a better group of informed communicative professionals. Very satisfied.Kim Arrington⭐️⛔️ ER Not RecommendedI’ve been here since 11 a.m. it is now 3:15 only went through triage they drew some blood took my blood pressure nothing much else been waiting and waiting and waiting the wait time is ridiculous I would not recommend anybody go to this Clinic supposed to be hospitalMurcedes Marie Outlaw⭐️⛔️ ER Not RecommendedI’ve had two surgery’s at this hospital within the last 30 days. Im disappointed in the care of the DOCTOR’S. Dr. Wise and Dr. Z from urology were a HUGE disappointment. Nurse Stephanie ( oncology unit) followed in their footsteps of terrible bedside treatment. If you can stay away from this hospitals care please do! -No care of pain for after surgery -Talk to patients disgracefully -SAD -Disgrace to the medical communityDina Kelley⭐️⭐️Surgical team was outstanding. The doctor in charge my entire 5 day visit was ridiculous. Saw me probably max 5 minutes during my duration He had a mid-line put in my arm the day I was discharged at 6 without giving me medicine to put into the ports. Nurse said I can go and I did not until the mid-line taken out of my arm. WHy was it put in if I didn’t need. I was given two prescriptions on paper without any pain meds(for a surgery?) Horrible treatment. Luckily the nurse could take out the mid-line before leaving at 10pm. Please explain Dr Luss. Infallible.
