Before you go to Sutter Solano Medical Center, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Vallejo emergency room think.
Nicole PI am the kind of person who avoids going to the doctor until I’m non-functional. And even then, you usually still have to force me. That being said, one night two years ago I was in such bad shape a friend convinced me to go. I had double vision and was so weak I could barely walk. So, at like 1AM I get to the ER. Wait forever, but it’s an ER that’s expected/nbd. When they finally call my name, I go back to meet two male nurses (no doctor) who ask me a bunch of questions. After about three minutes, one of the nurses says, “I’m sorry. We only treat real emergencies.” … … I still had double vision at this point, so I asked him what the hospital’s liability was like when I get in my car and crash into a poll. No response. Two weeks later I got balanced billed $250 on top of my copay (and I had really good insurance). Unprofessional joke of an ER. I went to St Francis Hospital the next day in SF and yes, there actually was something very wrong with me. AvoidGerman Lopez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe must support our hospital, is the only one in the area that can manage a serious emergency case. The medical team is great. The city should find the way to convert the parking area on a multi-level one. Because the parking area is always FULL. Of course there are issues that must be reported but none from my side.Todd Sampson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEveryone was awesome! Very attentive and professional!Sandy McCalpin⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedLast month we had to take our 21 year old autistic son into the emergency room. We waited about 5 minutes, were attended to immediately and processed on to a room very efficiently. The staff was very accommodating to our special needs son. They were extremely patient and paid very close attention to his needs. Thank you for making us feel so comfortable and confident with your services.Crystal AvilaNurse’s were great but in my opinion doctors need to not be rude have time to listen to there patients waste of my time going there…Steven Soo Hoo⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery fast service when we came in with severe and debilitating back pain. Staff were very caring and helpful.Vinyl Tune⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Pros: Good nurses and other staff seems just as good. Most staff are friendly. Clean beds and generally everything in the ER room is clean. Social workers and case managers available to assist financial and emotional needs. Cons: Wait times vary. ER lobby can be dirty with food crumbs scattered sometimes. Wait time for nurses to assist can vary. Chairs in ER rooms are hard and uncomfortable. Review: So I had to go to this ER a few times last month and each time my experience has been mixed, but good overall. A word of advice, when checking in just walk to the counter if there isn’t another patient already there because often people will just stand away from the counter and the staff will not think you are there for ER services. Sometimes there is no staff there especially early AM. They should have a bell you can ring but they come if you bang the table or yell. The wait time really depends on the time and day you come in. Generally between midnight and 6am are probably the slowest, but there is no telling when and how many ambulances will roll right in at any time. Ambulance patients have the highest priority. However they will bump up your priority if you are in labor, having chest pains, or stab/gun wounds, etc. The first time I went to this ER on a Tuesday afternoon, I had to wait probably 3 hours in the lobby before getting a bed. Second visit was on a Monday afternoon and I had to wait 6 hours because they had too many ambulances roll up at one time! Third visit was 6am on a Wednesday and I had a bed within 30 minutes! The nurses were all very good and the doctors were all good and are friendly. Sometimes I had to wait 30 min to get IV fluids or meds. Most ER bed rooms only have 1 or 2 hard chairs for guest to sit on and can be uncomfortable especially sitting for a long time. Overall all ER’s are kind of the same. Expect to wait least 3 hours before getting a bed. Also, expect to wait again once you get in to get services like x-rays, scans, water, ect. This place is not the worst. I once had to visit an ER up in Citrus Heights and I waited 7-8 hours before being seen!Marie LippmanI have been having a ache on my right side of my head, and getting worse. I started out at the Urgent Care in Fairfield , and they tried to help me with the pain, didn’t do anything but almost made me pass out! I didn’t see a Dr and everyone bolted and called my sister to take over. After r5 minutes , I was, told I had to go to the emergency room in Vallejo . Once I got in, again, no dixror, and they gave me hydrocodone and ibuprofen . It doesn’t work! They checked me out! They did nothing to help me. Just wasted away a day, feeling bad!Star BaileyWorst customer service EVER. I just moved out here and have been vomiting the past 3 days I went to emergency and there was no one in the front. HOW THE HELL IS THIS EMERGENCY WITH NO ONE WORKING IN THE FRONT !? I have never had any problems any where else and it takes a lot for me to write a review but the attitude when I asked where is the receptionist and they responded she’s in the back with a patient…..there is a long line of patients that need to be admitted and you have your front desk working in the back is completely unprofessional and unhealthy for everyone with serious conditions entering. I’ve received better care in a war zone than sutter in VallejoLeia FreretI would not go here, they take long to bring you to a room and then they barely check on you, they’re very rude and act like they don’t want to do their job. I don’t recommend bling here at all. Just the vibe in the hospital is negativeIt’sMee 2020⭐️⭐️⭐️Labor and delivery here was awesome everyone was nice and respectful…ER also nice and respectful BUT….! I went in today to be seen and ask for a doctor’s note which they forgot to give me…called up there immediately after leaving and they treated me like a liar and a thief….. and tried to convince me that they gave it to me which they didn’tKamil NowoczekWorse place ever longest wait ever they charge a lot of money and make u wait forever what kind of emergency can wait 3+ hoursAngie MillerWorst ER ever. Took my friend her today and she is having trouble breathing. we have been waitting in the ER for 2 hours with her having trouble breathing. everyone that was here before and after us has come and gone alrady and we are still in the waiting room. they didnt even give her oxygen to help with her breathing problem. All they have done is do an Xray and draw blood and send us back to the waiting room. Total BS. i am going to complain to the hoapital about this they are the worst. If you have the option to go to another ER do so dontcome here.Alex PajorOne functional bathroom in ER. General Lack of cleanliness in ER. Frequent miscommunications between doctors nurses and patients. Basic Appendectomy procedure (Dr. Bieselin) turned into 2 laparo procedures in as many days, and a general failure of comprehensive care. Very dissatisfied at time of discharge. The Hospital was certainly speedy but in a “why-did-I-just-put-my-life-in-your-hands?” kind of way. Desperately needs funding, or training, or new management, or absorption by larger/better facility. Will not be returning and do not recommend.sophya vasquezWorst ED ever !! The nurses are great but the general emergency medicine doctors suck they dont listen to the patient and just try to get you out of the ERCarolyn HamiltonHorrible!Susan Vincent⭐️⭐️⭐️It’s a hospital
