Before you go to Swedish Medical Center, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Englewood emergency room think.
Kayla BEHR⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThank for being so kind, attentive and quick. You were all fantastic tonight when my boyfriend needed emergency stitches on his hand. Thanks again!!!Emily CarriganThe lady at the check in desk when i went in to receive care on November 8th 2019 at 8 pm was so utterly rude. While i was waiting for a cup of water because their vending machine wouldnt work, she gestured a lady to come get checked in and rudely asked me to stand away from the desk for HIPAA purposes. I was standing there first and if she had been polite it would not have been an issue. Customer service should be a part of their job description…daniel selbe⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThank the LORD for this family of healers. Thank you LORD. Thank you Dr Peter Bakes. Kasey at admissions is very nice and everyone else in this healing family. Thank you.Jonathan Leon⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe E.R was very busy when I went but they had a system in place to help alleviate the wait. I felt that every nurse and doctor I spoke with where very empathetic and took care as best they could.Frederic HaltThis medical center is simply dishonest. I went there thinking I had the flu and due to my insurance deductible they offered me two options since they cannot tell you how much a check up cost: pay $300 and receive a final invoice later for whatever my insurance would not pay or pay $580 and receive no further invoice whatever my insurance would end up paying. I decided to pay the $580 for peace of mind. (I have the receipt for everything) To my dismay I received a $1600.- invoice a couple of weeks later. I contacted them several times (that was a painful process due their inefficient customer service) and they acknowledged the mistake but after more than 5 months nothing changed and I still receive invoices from the company managing account for them. I will most likely have to take a lawyer at some point because the communication between the medical center, the customer service and the company managing accounts (NPAS, inc) is a mess or even nonexistent…borderline a scam.Eve angelThe worst emergency room ever .if You have a child don’t go there .They will not take care of your kids.My child left the hospital and he is still sick they told me he is fine but when I back home he got worse again .mike thurloI felt like I was the victim of a modem day corporate model during my recent visit. I was told the ER is only meant for stabilization of people and every time I would try to explain my past body issues, in hopes to get a better understanding and direction from the Dr or Nurses, they would get short with me. I did not get a feeling that I was important to them during my visit, I felt like the employees were being judged or tracked by upper management in terms of getting people in and out then off to the next thing. I was even pressured to pay my estimated bill right then in there while still in the hospital bed with an IV in my arm… I am seriously concerned that our hospitals are becoming as corporate as our business. I hope that it was just this facility, on this day, but I won’t be going back.Morgan AdamsWorst hospital ER I’ve been too.. literally ever. I went in for an over 24 hour migraine talked to a doctor for maybe two minutes. Was told they couldn’t find anything, but still injected me with anti inflammatory that I had an adverse reaction too.. and a steroid even though they cant find anything. I than left feeling no better and not much more informed on what is going on. Today I woke up with bone pain up my spine into the base of my skull and down into my chin… I called and spoke to some dude who didnt even ask my name or my pull up my chart and just proceeded to tell me I’m fine even though on the paper work they send me home with said to call or return if symptoms changed or got worse…Steven laHoudReception is fairly rude and dismissive after an urgent care doctor directed me yo the hospital for scans to see if he is accurate in his estimation that it’s a life threatening condition that has left me in agony for 3 days. Low wait time isn’t accurate at all, all ready been waiting for 30 mins and there was only 2 people in here when I arrived.Jered Scurlock⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff here were have been wonderful. Taking care care of my mom and dad and this place has security and an police officer at the front desk.Nelly Turley⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe physicians and staff here are absolutely amazing and caring. My mother recently had a stroke and an ambulance took us to Swedish and the staff immediately began to take care of her once she got in and shortly later she was out of the operating room recovering. Without the Emergency staff at Swedish my mother wouldn’t be here and I owe everything to them.Ryleigh JI would give this place an absolute zero if I could. Absolutely terrible staff, terrible help, no organization and extremely unprofessional and under qualified staff. We dealt with 9 different people today when we went in. None knowing what the last person had already done or not done. You’re treated worse than animals and funneled in and out of express rooms and waiting rooms. The staff speaks loud enough for the whole waiting room to hear your personal information about the reasons you’re there on multiple occasions. The woman who took my partners blood didn’t close the tube and blood shot everywhere, then sent us back to the waiting room with an IV sticking out of his arm . we were there 4 hours and were literally the 3rd person when we got there . The front desk says nothing and if you ask for a wait time you’re pushed aside and treated rudely. Once we finally got a room the nurses were very unprofessional and wanted to just administer a pain killer through the IV they left in without telling us what it was. The nurse leaves , doesn’t ever return and we are left sitting here with an IV sticking in his arm and no information. I had to keep leaving the room and asking for help and every time it was a different person, the same one never came back. After 45 minutes I asked someone to take the IV out so we could leave , a woman took out the IV and threw it directly in the trash (there’s a hazardous waste bin right above it where needles with blood are supposed to go) We even sat there another 30 minutes when they said they’d be right back with our paper work to check us out. No one came and again I had to ask someone else to get our papers. When we finally got them, our medical records weren’t attached and they just recommended us to another doctor. 4 hours wasted for terrible , unprofessional and frankly inhumane treatment with nothing to show and no information on how to heal or what was even wrong. It was absolutely heartbreaking seeing the person I love and care about continue to suffer , be treated like garbage and sent away with absolutely no information on how to heal a serious issue he’s been dealing with for years. If you care about yourself or your loved ones , stay away from this place.Kristin Franklin⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedStaff was professional & empathetic. I was taken back to a room promptly from check in at triage. The nurse, doctor & other staff were attentive to my needs & care. My visit was under two hours and that included blood work being sent to the lab and assessed by the doctor. The staff there at Swedish Hospital – Emergency Department really display & seem to know what teamwork is. I have gone out of my way, in the past, to go to this hospital for critical medical attention rather than other nearby ERs. The staff has almost always gone above and beyond my expectations.aziz hassanGoing to ER for emergency need and we are stock here for 4 hours with no help!Ang S⭐️⭐️Will ask and allow you to leave shortly after dispensing sleeping medication into you system. It’s not safe to drive after that. Should at least allow and recommend that you relax in the waiting room if you need more time to recover. Was already scared going in and was scared still upon leaving.Mohamed Kariyeh⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedNice people and good caregiverBrendan StrautThe most abysmal experience I have ever had at a hospital. The staff are incompetent and disinterested in the health of the patients. The epitome of Big Pharma. I have been here for 2 days with a friend. The staff are incapable of giving any answers, and are keen to pass off any blame or decisions on anyone else (It’s not the nurses call, it’s the physicians, is the not the physicians call, it’s protocal/law). Additionally, my friend is required to be transported to another facility, and the nurse asked us to call around and find her a bed (When we did call, we were told we shouldn’t be calling because we don’t have the authority to give a recommendation, until we explained that we were told to call and to pass along the information to the physician). The only people who seem to be helpful and friendly are the security gaurds. Too bad this isn’t a prison, or it’d get a 5 star review. Try to avoid this hospital if you can, find somewhere you’ll be respected as a human being and that is transparent and professional. This place is one huge money farm, the human chattel the source of income. There is a reason this hospital feels like they need to advertise on every billboard and bus stop: they are incompetent and wouldn’t get any business otherwise.J Johnston⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThey have always got us in and taken good care of.us. Place can be busy at times..Dorothy Walker⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedLovely talented group of professionals here at Swedish!T V⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFantastic ER staff!
