Before you go to Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Carrollton emergency room think.
Miranda HollowayDon’t waste your time coming here if you don’t have to. The staff is rude, unprofessional, and unorganized. The wait times are outrageous. They don’t ask you all the important questions they should be asking their patients. They are not empathetic, they half a** everything…they simply don’t care about their patients/ The nurse I had didn’t even know how to pronounce simple medical terms. I’m not confident in their ability to diagnose anything properly. They even forgot to register my information. I was already seen by the doctor and was on my way out by the time I realized they haven’t received any of my information. I had to remind the nurse that I needed to be registered and she said “Omg, I’m so glad you said something…I would have been in so much trouble!” Smh. This place is ridiculous.dustin BradleyThis used to be a pretty great place for care. The doctors here are still great. Other departments working in there have very friendly and helpful staff. The majority of the ER nursing staff is lazy, rude, dramatic, and uncaring. There are only a few good and caring nursing staff in there anymore, so pray you get those few wonderful people.Mike Ferguson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI’m 53 years old and my health has been on the decline the last couple of years. A year ago I was diagnosed with a very painful bone disease which has been life changing and what’s worse is I’m alone. I believe my inactivity has contributed to kidney stones which brought me to the er 3 times this week. I was treated very well by all the staff through my painful and embarrassing experience. On Thursday they kept me overnight for surgery to neutralize and remove the stone. I feel so much better physically and mentally. I pray that everyone involved will be recognized for saving what quality of life I have left. God bless them all!Gillian Rucker⭐️⭐️⭐️If I could give 0 stars I would . I have been to many hospitals with people as well as for myself . This hospital has to have by far the rudest uncaring staff that there is . Career services needs to thoroughly evaluate the people that they hire . Everyone understands that Emergency Rooms are busy . People want to get in and out . However , that can be done without being rude, bitter , and uncaring . If there is a hospital closer , I would recommend going there instead !!!! Update : I guess the staff members heard my conversation with the person I was at the hospital with. So, the doctor came into to room with a very upbeat attitude and was very nice.Michele Galloway⭐️⭐️As the mother to an adopted teenager we have had the opportunity to visit Tanner Psych ER. It’s a four room section that has two people who watch over the patients. One visit, I had amazing staff who helped in making that visit tolerable by offering chairs so I could put my feet up to relax, etc because you are normally here from 6-8 hours. The visit on 6/29/19 the staff was obnoxious at time regaling their trip loudly to six flags. I now know all the rides names have changed and some tracks have even changed. One particular brunette who looked like she could have used services after he snide comments. She thought I wasn’t paying attention but I was and she could use some sensitivity training. As a mother of an adopted child with the level of mental health concerns due to her past traumas this woman was simply here for a check. She made a comment as the other staff member went home early that “no way, I’m staying till the end.” Find another profession when you have no compassion. I fought for my daughter to be placed in respectful facility and at that moment I was deemed trouble. Well, I will advocate for my daughter each and every time. It’s amazing to me as people walk in she’s such a delight but when no one is watching she’s miserable and makes you feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome.Cheryl SStay away from the ER unless you want to end up in collections without ever receiving a bill. Tanner Hospital contracts with Carrollton Emergency Physicians group. The physicians are not employees of Tanner nor do they take any insurance. Patients are only told they may be billed separately for physician services. They do not inform patients the physicians are not in any insurance network. Patients come to the ER in distress or unconscious and are not made fully aware of this practice. It is basically entrapment. Carrollton Emergency Physicians do not send out timely bills that inform patients of the situation until they are ready to send you to collections. Their office is not in Carrollton. They operate out of Oklahoma where laws to protect patients are lax. I will not be going to Tanner Hospital for emergency services. I’d rather take the long road to Douglasville where I know for certain all services provided are in my insurance network.Mikel WatsonSat there for 4 plus hours just for them to prescribe some medicine and send us on our way. Youll see registration aka the people who process you bill before you see an actual doctor. Oh and wait for it. We didnt even get to see a doctor thos time. We got nurses who came in the room several times just to tell us someone else was coming in there to help. This is not the only time ive had to sit and wait for hours for a prescription and no help for the problem you came in for. So much for an emergency room that doesnt solve the emergency. Im not even from Carrollton and every time ive visited Tanner ive had nothing but terrible experiences. I feel like i wouldve had better service going to a free clinic but theyre not open 24/7.Summer Skinner⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThese people are blessings. I have never felt more un alone and cared for. They really wanted to find out what is wrong and what they couldn’t find out they made sure to send me where I could find something out. I cried from happiness on how happy I was.J MercerFive hours no doctor. No diagnosis no medicine no service got back into the room tests have just now been run and we have to wait another three hours before the next set of testsRenee’ Galligan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went in because I had a root canal 4 days before that had got seriously infected. My whole face felt like it was stomped on. They gave me steroids through an IV, which helped immensely. Treated my pain as well as the infection with antibiotics. Everyone was friendly and quick.
