Tennova – Sango Reviews

Before you go to Tennova – Sango, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Clarksville emergency room think.

Amy Cannon If I could put no stars I would. Brought my 4 year old daughter in with flu like symptoms and told them I am also worrying about pneumonia. The doctor was rude and rushed. Barely listened to her. Didn’t even put her in a room. No tests were done and they sent her home. She was diagnosed with pneumonia at her doctor office today. Extremely disappointed in this place.April Ghost⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMarshall was my RN nurse and he was the nicest nurse I have ever had here. Registration was fantastic! Thank you for your service and getting me in and out. Y’all did amazing!Robyn Parker⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I live in Oklahoma and have had to go to the ER 3 times since July 2019, while here visiting my daughter and family. I had kidney stones every time. My first visit in July was at approximately 1:00am and my third visit was at approximately 8:00pm. These 2 visits were wonderful. Everyone from the nurses to the doctor were competent and empathetic. And TRUST me when you are delirious with pain, kindness and understanding go a long way. I was triaged quickly and given something for pain. BUT my second visit was Monday October 21, 2019 at approximately 1:30pm, in the afternoon. This shift from nurses to doctor were rude, unkind, had no compassion and acted like I was bothering them. Even though it was VERY obvious I was in excruciating pain, they gave me some pain medication and when I told them it wasn’t helping, they basically said “yeah, kidney stones hurt”. Even after I told them what had helped when I was there with same symptoms in July. So if you have to go to ER, try NOT to go during the day. It’s a real shame when caregivers no longer care. They should do everyone a favor and change jobs where they don’t have to deal with people (in pain).MetalCountryman72 This hospital is the worst. Iv been here multiple times and the nurses are rude as ever, they don’t care about it’s patients. They take nothing serious, and on top of it, I was working and had to pick up a vehicle there and one of there nurses came out and said rudely as ever I’m trying to leave, I asked can you please just hold on a few minutes while I am helping this customer, and she said again very rudely how long is a few minutes I want to leave. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL EVER.Helen Dunn Recently I went here in a lot of pain. Spent apx. 4 hours, they ran unnecessary test, then told me I had nothing wrong. Went to my doctor he looked at scan, found I had a kidney stone to big to pass. So now going elsewhere to have fixed.Dancesing 5678⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWas at E.R.Christmas Eve, I was taken to room quickly and seen by nurse and then Dr, Had to get a ct scan and staples in my head.No cmplaints about my care or my wait time, Thanks to all.Pa’iniu LP Nevin⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery helpful and Love the location as it is closer to our home than the hospital. We don’t have to fight with traffic to get there. The staff was proficient and friendly.Rachell Ashton⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedA couple of months ago I literally thought i was about to die in my kids elementary school parking lot 30 mins before school let out. I panicked in the worst of ways. A phone call to my husband and I found myself at your ER. Let me tell you as soon as I said I thought i was having a heart attacka within 45 seconds I had a team around me and maybe it was the lack of oxygen lol but it felt like within 3-4 minutes max they knew exactly what was wrong and I was introduced to a chest tube because my lung was collapsed (the Dr got the tube in so calmly while talking to me trying to help keep me at ease). I can remember thinking of my 2 boys and husband in the waiting room and I truly thought I might die I looked around the room and every Dr’s, nurses, and anyone else who had helped me from the second i walked in not only looked concerned and determined to help but they sincerely cared they reassured me that my sons were ok, my husband knew exactly what eas going on, an ambulance was in already en route, and the Hospital dr’s were waiting for me to arrive. The ambulance was there so fast I was scared but with the feeling that not only were they ALL doing their jobs but they genuinely cared about me as a patient and as terrified wife and mother it made me feel as if they were my friends too in those most traumatic moments of my entire life! Now fast forward 2 months: I’m at home taking a picture of a fortnite nerf gun and I bent over stood back up and I knew exactly what was about to or happening again! My husband wanted me to go straight to Centennial downtown but i convinced him that I thought maybe it wasn’t real but because I was so frazzled the 1st time I really wanted to go back to the ER. I was so wrong it was happening again! For the 2nd time in two months my right lung had collapsed. As I laid there crying and thinking waiting on the ambulance I thought about how afterv my last visit I was asked to do a survey and to calm my mind I made these notes. Tennova Survey Notes: Everyone from the lady when I walked through  the door (she even recognized me from being here a couple of months ago and how many people can say that about their ER to the lady in intake (yep she remembered too). My charge nurse has continued to go above and beyond (he was even willing to get my purse for me from my car and I know that’s not his job) but he did it with a smile and still continued to be so so nice the entire team has what I like to call the “A” Team.  My Dr. God am I lucky this man put in 2 tubes and never hurt me, I will be thanking god for giving him those hands and then having me meet him while on this journey I could go on and on. My charge nurse I suppose was able to tell just how upset I was and he personally just came and sat and chatted with me until I started to smile and I know he doesn’t get paid for that. I feel bad for Jeremy yall got to get this boy a key so they will quit calling him Becky – just ask i’m sure they will tell you but bottom line Jeremy needs a key! And Dawn as soon as she realized my nerves were taking over I explained my panic and anxiety and she literally had meds to help me in less than 5 minutes. Then there is Jacob in xrays. Yall better keep him around here is good now but he is young so just imagine how extraordinary he will be! I think they all deserve a raise if I had the money I do it myself they are literally SAVING MY LIFE & MAKING SURE MY 2 BOYS CONTINUE TO HAVE A MOM and did I mention this is the 2nd time since November! Tennova you have a group of rockstars on your hands right now and I pray you keep them happy because it sounds like I may need them again in the future. I’m sure they will accept catered dinners and extra time off in lieu of raises -Rachell Ashton The woman with the lungs that like to try to quit and my mom didn’t raise no quitter so these lungs are going to have to learn to get over it and quit f’n with me.  Causing way too many problems I ain’t got time for this I never recieved a second survey so I thought the next best thing would be to post my appreciationshaunlindsey1 This is the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hospital / emergency room. Among several, several other things, one of my biggest complaints is that my nurse did not wear gloves to administer my IV. She blew up my vein, and my blood squirted back all over her bare hands. And she left 2 uncapped syringes of my Blood on the table. I’m so disgusted and so concerned as to what she could have exposed me to. I will never go here again. And I would never suggest this to anyone else.Tabitha Winston⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedLet’s start by saying I don’t frequent the ER. Ive only been when transported twice by a ambulance from an (1) accident or from the (2) Doctor office over 10 years ago. Each time going to [then] gateway was horrible to say the least. Needless to say, I went to the Sango location with hesitation because I was feeling horrible. Front the origin of the ER visit, I received top notch care and services. The receptionist was kind, warm and welcoming. A nurse came in and double checked to make sure the paperwork was correct. She found a mistake and it was corrected immediately. Once taken to the back, the nurse was thorough as she asked questions, then patiently listened to my responses. Dr. Nazzer had a great bedside manner and thoroughly explained my diagnosis. I have never been in and out of a Doctors visit in less than a hour, therefore to be treated like I was the only one in the ER and out in less than a hour is unheard of. Wait time was minimal and the establishment was very clean. Disclaimer: This was not the main Tennova ER.Cynthia Lowery⭐️⭐️⭐️We have been several times. Wait times are short, staff is very helpful and kind but wow! You will get a huge bill from the physician!! Be careful! Hospital in network Drs are NOT!!Dianne Hawkins⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAwesome people everyone there was to help you!!Kirsten Bevill Front desk staff was not friendly. Also, patients should be notified when they give their insurance card, if the physicians are out of network even though the facility is in network. I was never told, or I would have taken my son to Nashville. So not only do I have a bill from the facility, I have another almost $1000 bill from the physician group because my insurance didn’t cover them. We were only there less than 3 hours. You need to communicate with your patients.Alex McCartney If there was a no star option, I definitely would have chosen that. Went here last night and the doctors and nurses were so rude. Bryan was the nurse and the doctor was Dr. huff. Such a terrible experience.Jeff Berube⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was checked in on 7/22/19 I was treated with great care and professionalism I just wanted to reach out to the staff and say thank you for top notch care. Jeff BCharity Bohanon I went in there yesterday afternoon. Nurses were so nice! Had dr. Paasa he acted like I was bothering him came in and sat down in the chairs they have in the rooms. He literally did nothing but looked in my throat!!!! He did not even listen to my heart lungs nothing told me it was viral!! Well I went to the main er at 3 am mind you had to get 3 different meds and breathing treatment!!!!!! I usually have great experiences here but not from him at all!!!!! Shame on you if you don’t like helping ppl get a new jobCindy Ruth⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI’m from New Jersey and while I was here visiting my daughter I got very ill so my daughter brought me here. The nurses and doctor that treated me were awesome. I was treated right away and they explained everything. There kindness and compassion were excellent.Natasha Shahid⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAwesome staff! Nurses, Imaging and the PA all great! I brought my son here for abdominal pain and uncontrollable vomiting onset 2 days. I was concerned about a possible appendicitis. The nurses were already back in the room before we got in the room. We got in there they started tests right away. It was a great experience definitely worth the half hour drive. Although I hope to not have to go to the ER again. If I have to it will definitely be here! Thanks Tennova Sango ER!Kim King⭐️⭐️Saw a PA to order xray on twisted ankle and knee from fall. Also had gravel in hand. Never got results. Left with gravel in hand. Both my insurances paid but be careful physician bill is billed from out of state and are still sending me a bill to pay a year after my service. My insurance has paid as out of network because bill comes from Daytona Flordia. I have Cigna and Tricare trying to get them to understand is difficult. I have been to main hospital and they said was taken care of. Just called Valley Emergency in Daytona for 3rd time. Not sure what else I can do. I came with my own crutches and a driver. They wanted me to sign for a set of crutches. I declined. Just wanted to know if my ankle was okay. Never saw PA again to ask.Kristy Doney Treated in the hallway where everyone could hear that walked by. The nurses were rude. The doctor said in a not so quiet voice that I was faking my injuries.Summer Robertson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis place was nothing short of amazing…I took my daughter here with severe chest congestion and we loved all of the nurses, they were all quick and super helpful and the best part we were out in about an hour with 3 test and an X-ray! I would definitely recommend this emergency room over the main hospital!Trianna Read I went in with a sore throat and was told that “I was not drinking enough water”. Less than 36 hours later I was leaving a walk-in clinic with a POSITIVE strep test.Anne Bolyn Front staff took my insurance info but did not submit it to insurance Person who did not say who he was proceeded to evaluate my lesion. Had to ask him what his position was (nurse). Another person entered room. Again, no civilities or introduction (doctor). Then, two weeks later—TWO WEEKS!, Tennova takes out a lein against me for the bill. I had to submit the information yet again. Insurance pays, lein dropped. Six months later—I get a bill again. So, to sum up, incompetant front desk staff, rude medical staff, and they’ll send your account to collections in a matter of a couple of weeks—even though they failed to bill correctly.Shenita Littleton The tech that was working was very rude. The nurses and doctor was awesome.Heather Lewis⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had a great experience, Dr. Azam and Paula Rn were great. I came in with chest pain was triaged immediately with great protocol.Ashley⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI’ve been there 3 times and have always had good experiences. I really like the doctor Joe Caldwell. I have seen him the 2 or 3 times I have gone.Landon Mason They won’t help you or anything but sure, come here. Sure, they’ll completely drop the ball but at least they’ll charge you a couple of thousand dollars for the pleasure of enduring their ineptitude.Amy LaBorde Took my son in for a non life threatening dirt bike accident. Called my medical insurance on the way to make sure the hospital was in network and it was. HOWEVER the ER doctors are NOT! My son had an x-ray and we waited on the Dr. The Dr. came in the room and asked if an x-ray had been taken and we said yes, he then left to go look at it. NEVER came back or told us about the injury. A nurse came in with a sling assuming the Dr. had spoken to us about the injury. She had to tell us what the diagnosis was. A month later we get a bill from the doctor for over 1k! BEWARE just because the hospital is in network doesn’t mean the physicians inside are. In emergency situations a patient is never in a position to know which of the treating physicians, labs, radiologist they will be seeing in order to ask their insurance if each individual is in their network! The ER doctors are from a group in Florida.Amy Myers⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️We went here since it was closer to us than any other facility. I was Leary at first because we had not had a good experience with the main hospital ER ever. I will have to say this facility was exceptionally clean, the staff were amazing and they seemed to really care. They were very fast and efficient at their jobs we we’re in and out quickly. I highly recommend this ER!Kaitlyn Johnson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedTook a trip here after a car wreck to get checked out for head and neck pain (typical). I wasn’t even done filling out my paperwork before someone came out to take me back into a room. The staff was super friendly and explained things well. Once the x-ray results came back, they were quick to tell me I was okay, told me how to ease my pain and made sure I understood everything before I left. I’ll come back here again if I ever need emergency care!Jeanne Miles⭐️⭐️I went into Tennova Sango ER & everyone was very nice. But wanted to run a bunch of tests on me. When I said No, they asked if I wanted to leave & I said yes. I had already been there for 3 hrs. I cant deal with all those tests for no good reason. SadHelen Dunn⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBest experience ever. Dr. Akoury & Heather were excellent. Thank you.Pamela Cooper Since when does a hospital not include a doctor!!! I got taken here after wanting to leave and they refused to let me go! I had to sit in a room waiting to be seen by a doctor from Nashville to come… well 5 hours later he still isn’t here so I saw a doctor inhouse who spoke to me for 4 minutes and left. Well I get the hospital bill later of $500 which is fine but then to get a bill for the doctor who did NOTHING of over $1000 is ludacris !!! Do NOT go here for anything in the world! The nurses and staff are all curt and incredibly rude, one of mine spoke down to me because her arrogant personality thought she was higher than me.Jodi Smith⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe Sango ER is probably the BEST ER that I have ever came across in my life. They are usually extremely quick and you are in and out, unless they are extremely busy due to peak flu and cold season or other immediate emergencies such as car wrecks, etc. The doctors are very well trained and are extremely smart as to what treatments and medications you may or may not need. The other staff members are extremely helpful with answering questions and making sure you are ok and comfortable. I was asked 3 times by 3 different staff members if I was ok while waiting to be seen, and that means a lot especially when you don’t really feel ok. I refer this place to everyone. Thankful to have this facility not too far from home. Thank you to ALL of the staff for being great! ♥️⚕️ ‍⚕️ Jennifer Harvey Went here for severe lower back and abdominal pain. Left with no answers. Told I was not an emergency and to go see my doctor. Never saw a doctor. Saw a PA student. Nurse couldn’t get IV started. I am severely bruised. This place is a joke.Samantha Keelean This place is such just awful. They have 0 care for anyone I wish I could give 0 stars. I brought my son here after a moterbike accident. He more then likely tore something in his knee. I called before hand and asked if they did MRI to which the office assistant told me they did. So I brought him up here. Well after wasting our time and money they informed me that they do not do MRI’s here!!!!! WTH I can’t even put together words to describe my level of frustration! First I’m going to get billed my $400 deductible then the I’m sure $1000 ER visit. Also, as I’ve read and found out from the main Tennova a physician bill of upward $1500 because Tennova physicians do not accept insurance. So this is an amazing Christmas bill of probably around $2000-$3000 All because they cannot educate their employees properly. Also, they didn’t even have a brace that would fit him properly so they had to “create” one!!!! So glad my hard earned money is being used so well. This place is a joke! Don’t waste your time going here.David Trenton⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAwesome hospital great doctor and nurses Terri Clore⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFast, friendly, thorough exams and great “bedside manners” from all staff.Nicholas Powell Got my wife in early on a Saturday. Good care. Prompt and thorough. They started to get busy later but we were still out by noon. Facility was clean. I would choose this one over the main ER. However it turns out that theTennova ER doctors do not take insurance, even though Tennova does..the bill sickened me. Buyer beware. Tennova ER doctors should go to hell. Drive to Nashville if you can.Misty York⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHad to pay this facility a visit last night and I was completely impressed. The facility is clean, the mood was light but professional and they had me all glued up and on my way in a couple of hours. Hopefully I don’t get hurt anytime soon, but if I do, I will head right back!TABETHA LETT⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedStaff was great!Yolanda Villanueva I went to a funeral in Ohio and husband had to have surgery. I got back to a sight of a nurse in between my husband’s legs. I got no notice of anything. Found out later that she was changing the bandage but she was unprofessional. Talking about going out for dinner. Later found out that they never gave him any after care instructions or updates on when someone else will show up. The female nurses that do home visits are just the female version of jody!!! I highly do not recommend.Sierra Speight⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis is the fastest and best experience I have ever had in an ER. I came here because I called the Main ER off of Warfield and they got smart with me and hung up the phone. Thankfully that made me come here because they have been understanding of my pain and very helpful with everything. Dr Singer is a caring and professional doctor, not to mention the amazing nurses. I am very happy with my experience. 10/10Boogeyman Kid⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Yolanda Villanueva, I think your post mistakenly reviewed a different business. The Tennova SANGO ER does not do home care. Please double-check and delete if appropriate.Taylor Ayers I’ve heard nothing but negative things about the ERs in Clarksville, but I decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, this was definitely one of the worst experiences of my life. Other review was spot on, staff was very rude, dismissive, and disrespectful. As much as it sucks, make the drive to Springfield or Nashville. There’s a reason there isn’t much of a wait at this place. Very disappointed in our options of emergency care here in Clarksville.Ryan Spencer This was a terrible experience after we received the bill – The Tennova ER doctor bills separately and wouldn’t work with our insurance – I got billed the full $1700… even though Tennova accepted insurance for the facility (a $10,000 ER bill, we paid $1850 out of pocket after insurance). To get another $1700 bill for the physician was ridiculous! Don’t go here if you have an emergency.Barry Morrow Just like gateway (change the name change nothing). Rude and disrespectful and dismissive. Go to Springfield. We could’ve had Northcrest were it not the typical small ball politics of Montgomery County. You have a choice – take it and keep going past. The only one worse near is Jennie Stewart (anecdotally referred to by patients as Jennie Sue Me); them and their money grabbing hello group AirEvac. Dog doo on all of them.Leigh McClure⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff was quick, friendly, and professional. They took great care of me and am I very thankful!!!Flower Dream Extremely unprofessional nurse at Sango ER. Came in with child in pain from eye injury. When i asked if she was going to take a look at her eye, she replied with ‘ is her eye falling out?’. The doctor and second nurse tending to us were friendly and competent, but the first nurse’s immature reaction made it an overall unpleasant experience.George Watson Arrived at the er, got me right in no wait. Everyone was nice friendly and accommodating. The doc was very nice. And so was the x Ray guy. They told me I had 2 cracks in a bone in my leg, showed me the pic. Put me in a temporary splint, sent me home, and told me no reason to send the on call orthopedic, just need to go see him next week. I get in the car and almost pass out from the pain of getting in the car.36 hours later I tell my wife we are doing something else. Went to a orthopedic urgent care in Nashville only to find out my hole ankle is destroyed ,that had x rays taken of it that night in the er. Even with a really nice state of the art 250,000.00 mobile x ray machine, really nice building and staff you still get less than better care and service for the value I promise my insurance company will be notified. I have lived in Clarksville my hole life and tennova is for sure a black eye on our community.what a waste.Betty Dolphin⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAfter 10 hours of waiting at the main Tennova Hospital ER to discover if I’d broken my wrist (final discover was a fracture), and seeing other patients like me be passed over and given a ‘your third in line’ excuse (with zero caring or empathy, but numerous people were called before me and those patients), I went to Tennova ER – Sango and was seen in under an hour. I wanted to hug every last doctor and nurse at this new facility for their quick service and upstanding bedside manner. I don’t know who considered a worthless bait and switch (call you back, return you to your seat, and repeat, repeat, repeat until you’re locked in after waiting so long) organization style for the main ER but they need to get out of the caregiving business. The next time you have an emergency, skip the main ER and go get well without careless drones stressing you out. To the nurses and doctors of Sango ER, you restored my entire family’s faith in Clarksville’s healthcare regarding ERs. Thank you SO much!!Muamas Socks⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedQuick on point, great bed side manors would recommend to anyoneJa’Nette Spencer Beware! You are charged for both the emergency room (my daughter had a virus and we got a 10,000 bill, $1800 out of pocket) AND for the physician (2200 bill, 1700 out of pocket). Get this – the emergency room was in network, but the ER doctor was considered out of network. So, we are supposed to (in an emergency) – make sure both the facility and the doctors working in the facility are going to be billed in network??? I’d go anywhere but Tennova.Deonna Trice⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFebruary 3, 2018 My tooth was hurtin so bad, that I LITERALLY would’ve preferred CHILD BIRTH! I had all my kids with no pain meds, but my tooth had me balled up in the corner cryin like a teething baby It was my first time going to this ER. It was clean, they got me back there to see what was going on, and within less than 5 minuets…the Doc was already taking care of things. Even the staff was nice! PERFECT SERVICE! DONT like needles but the Doc that gave me 2 shots for pain…I BARELY EVEN FELT IT! Went home…bout 2 hrs later I started feeling bad and went back. SAME GREAT SERVICE! The Doc explained to me why I was feeling that way. He offered a bed to me and said if I wanted to stay there for a lil while under observation I could. BEST SERVICE IVE EVER RECEIVED FROM ANY ER!Ashley Alynn⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWalked in and went straight to the window and checked in. I sat down for about 2 seconds and went back to triage. From triage, I went straight to a room. Staff was super professional and patient with my anxiety over the needles and swabs. We were there less than 2 hours, and I had all sorts of labs done and had an IV for fluids. I won’t go back to the hospital ER.Anna Walter The nurses were extremely rude. No bedside manner whatsoever. Just rude!!!!! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!!!! And the doc I saw acted like he didn’t know anythingJamilia Rozier Wasn’t really helpful kinda rude. Seemed like they were rushing me out. & the doctor came into the room with the prescription smelling like cigarettes & handed me my prescription & walked out & told me to go to check out.. will never go to this ER again first & last time.
