Before you go to UCHealth Emergency Care, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Aurora emergency room think.
Whitney Serra⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis is an Emergency Room. They are dealing with all sorts of people with all kinds of injuries and illnesses. Yes you will wait a little bit however, the staff at this hospital is incredibly kind, and is dedicated to providing the best care for the patients. The security here has a sense of humor and treats people with respect. The nurses, and the doctors truly listen to the patients and based off labs, will help you get to your better self. A little patience goes a long way.Emma Hill⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️4 stars for making a difficult situation tolerable. The whole thing only took about 4 hours, which was better than I expected. The staff were competent and empathetic and really attentive, often redundantly so, which is fine. I think that might be an effort to respond to older complaints in the reviews below. I think those complaints might be excessive; It’s ER, it’s never going to be a good experience, but I think UCHealth is doing a reasonable job with what they have. 1 star removed for the surprising difficulty in getting water provided. The request for water kept getting ‘approved’ and delegated out to someone else and then finally one person I asked made an ‘oh!’ face and left and immediately came back with water. This is funny after the fact, but it was annoying at the time. Advice to management: streamline communication within your team.jason bisbal⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWhat else can i say but wow! I mean under the circumstances i am completely impressed with this hospital..i have never encountered such a professional and caring staff of doctors and nurses in my life..they are going above and beyond to make my wife as comfortable as possible…from the bottom of my heart…Thank You !!Ana GomezIncredible that a few stiches in a finger from a kitchen accident cost over $2k for a self pay patient. Patently insane. To be fair, clinicians were kind and competent, but that doesn’t justify the bill.Robert SmithWent to ER because I had hurt my back lifting something and ended up with a sciatic nerve pain. The ER Dr. listened for about 30 seconds, told me I had a nerve disease. I asked him about sciatic nerve and he said, they are all related to nerve disease. Which I knew was true. He also told me to follow up with my Dr. and let the room in less than 5 min. What a waste of time and my co-pay. For Dr’s like this there should be a co pay refund and the insurance companies should not be billed.Vincent Serio⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy son was in a car accident so we went to the ER to make sure he was ok. The process was very efficient and they moved us right along. The doc (Dr. Musi) was thorough and kind.Morgan ChapmanDear Dr. Richard D Zane MD, You do not follow your Medical Oath. I came into the Emergency department yesterday. Just moving here from Minnesota, I was told I needed to see a pulmonologist. I had already set up a Primary Care appointment for next week. But my condition worsened and my family urged me to go into the ER. I brought in all my paperwork from Minnesota. Along with my med list. It took a lot for me since I have a fear of Medical. After I explained everything the only thing you took away from the conversation was “I smoked Marijuana.” You didn’t listen to me when I tried to say it hadn’t been for awhile. You didn’t listen to me when I expressed I have an eating disorder and THC has been the only thing to help me eat. That I was loosing weight from being so sick. That I was not in a good place mentally from being sick for over 5 months. That I haven’t been able to get more than two hours of sleep. You called me a cannabis abuser. That I’m killing myself. And that you and no one else would help me. Saying all this without asking me my intake or how I even medicate. Assuming and immediately writing me off. I’m 24 years old and you Richard made me feel like a pile of dog sh*t on your shoe. I came in looking for help. You failed your medical oath. I expressed a serious on going lung issue, an eating disorder, lose of weight, and mental issues. You said “Theres nothing I can do for you. No one will help you.” I left the room in tears and felt extremely violated. You didn’t even prescribe the medication you said you were going too. You were in a room with me for 5 minutes. Listened to my lungs once and you think you have me all figured out. I don’t recommend this ER and I believe Richard D Zane should have his Medical License suspended.Last FirstI was here 4 days ago with sever nausea and side pain. I got there at 2:30AM. Didn’t get a room until 4:20AM. Wasn’t seen by a doctor until 5:23AM. Didn’t get discharged until 8:30AM. I was there for 6 freaking hours!! Here i am, 4 days later with the same symptoms i had before and they keep telling me “nothing is wrong.” If nothing was wrong, why do i still have pain and sever nausea?! I don’t know how this place is still running!! They don’t take their patients seriously, and that’s a problem!!! This place has the worse patient care!!!!!!!!!!Kerry O’Neil⭐️⭐️Walked in to airport level security. Never had vitals taken. Was asked personal information out in the open where everyone comes in. Was brought to a 2nd waiting area where 12 of about 35 staff made eye contact with me in the doorway and said nothing. Emergency meant nothing to them. I also dis not get the note I asked for for work, so check your discharge papers. These guys forget things like waiters. I guess I gotta move so this isnt my closest hospital. Patrick was cool. I think he was a nurse. Red hair. Nice guy. That whole front area sucks!Cora Rothenberger⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI’m very impressed with the level of care I received. Everyone from the doctor to the nurses, sonographers, even housekeeping was wonderful. Being in the ER is never fun but I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.evelyn vegaWrost freaking hospital ever I here taking my poor grandma because she’s Dying of pain and the her doctor that came in to see her was just irritated with her because she couldn’t move or talk ! Idk why she’s a doctor ! Have us waiting in the room for hours I got there at 7 am and I didn’t get actual help till 1 pm not even a joke . Always happens when we come here it’s the closest to our home and it’s unfortunateAlissiya BottgerWorst ER in the world been waiting over 5 hours just to get into a room and have testing done. pregnant lady was in so much painand they made her wait almost as long as I waited. they took her and made her stand waiting for them to get their paperwork right and get her into a room. take other patients that come in instead of going in order worst ER wouldn’t recommend this place.Cheryl MontgomeryI had a horrible experience at UCHealth emergency room in Aurora Co. I wouldn’t recommend it. I had a serious infection in my jaw caused from a abscess tooth. They checked me in right away but left me in a room for several hours and apparently forgot about me. Finally when a oral surgeon came in seven hours later he said they just told him I was there. The oral surgeon put a drain in for the infection but he said he didn’t have proper tools and had to go get them. Left me there for 20 minutes with my mouth propped open to get a tool. When he came back he said he needed my boyfriend to had him tools because he needed an assistant. Nothing was sterilized. He put stitches in my mouth but didn’t have scissors to cut them with so he sawed them with a small knife. The stitches were left to long and were poking in the side of my cheek and tongue. The doctor told me to go to his dental clinic the following Monday at 11:00 and he would take the drain out. I showed up for my appointment like he told me and the doctor wasn’t there, no doctors were there. The receptionist told me to come back tomorrow. I’ve heard horror stories about medical care in third world countries but I can’t amagine they could be any worse than this.Julian LuceroThey cut my leg open and didnt give me any thing for pain i am insuch pain they dont care aboit your pain any more it also took about one hour ather they took x rays i was in pian the whole time i was thier i my in more pain now they are very unprofessional i think that they are afraid to .Give you pain meds so nnow i am in so much pain with my leg cut openBryan Duke⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFast and professional. Went in with severe abdominal pain and I had seen a Doctor, received a CT scan, and had my appendix taken out within six hours of arrival. They took care to explain all my options every step of the way and everyone that I dealt with was kind and courteous.Taylor DavisDr. Reno is one of the most disrespectful providers I have ever met!! I brought her disrespectful behavior to the staff and they all agreed with me but said “we really can’t do anything about it, she is rude to us too”…… REALLY UCH! Is this how you are treating your patients and staffEthan St. Martin⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHave had to use the emergency department on two occasions: once for my wife with altitude sickness, and now myself with a workplace injury. Both times, triage was quick and courteous, as soon as triage was complete, the doctor came back and we were brought to a room. Treatment once in a room was fast and professional. Cannot recommend highly enough.Mark PoageWaist of time they wont try to help or figure out whats wrong. Will charge you lots of money and then say go to your pcp . my wife and i will never come back here again.Jody⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The flow that they have set-up is much better than what it used to be. You don’t go right back to a bay they first have you go into a little room to check you out then a doctor comes in talks with etc… Then you go back to the Bay.Glitter PipesI had trouble swallowing and difficulty breathing for some weeks before I finally decided to go see a doctor. At the time I didn’t have insurance and knew that wherever I was to go, it would be more than I could afford, so I bit the bullet thinking I would get the best medical care there. Instead I got the least professional doctor I have ever seen. Andrew Monte prescribed me Ibuprofen and with a smirk, told me to come back and see him again, if all the lymph nodes in my entire body started to swell up. Almost 2 years later I have yet to be back to normal, even after seeing other doctors as well. I can say that in my opinion, Dr. Andrew Monte should be sued for medical malpractice and I have not forgotten him.erika ervinI called up there for someone that was in the ER and they are not getting the phone so I called back it was1:32am this person was rude he ask for the name and said there not there I said hello can I please get the room # it was just me on the phone wow for real ,.!!!! Chris WelchTrust me and save your time to go somewhere else, it will be faster and you’ll actually get some real doctors. I went in because I accidentally kicked a board and just to make sure my toe didn’t need reset. They didn’t have any wheelchairs, the security guard was also very rude about that. I go and check in, in the waiting room, there was a lady in there with her ankle all the way sideways, they were out of rooms or something so they put her in lobby. I wait for about 2.5 hours to see a “doctor”, I tell them that I just now hurt my toe, by them I mean literally 5 different doctors, not nurses. They told me that I was having a Gout Flare up, which can happen sorta quick, but I literally had just stubbed my toe really bad and they were acting like I didn’t just do that and it was actually an onset of Gout. It took 5 doctors to misdiagnose me and give me the wrong medication, which are actually terrible for you. I went in there at 11pm, came out at 4:30am, 5 1/2 hours to get out. Trust me, it’s worth the drive to somewhere else.Yolanda TaylorI’m not happy with any of your ethics or ways of handling thingsConnie MedinaThe doctors and nurses are a joke here.
