Before you go to UK Albert B. Chandler, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Lexington emergency room think.
Angela Worthington⭐️⭐️⭐️The care I have received has been good. However, the HIPPA and Patient rights violations is astounding and unbelievable. Many patients were in the hallway on beds to include myself. I was parked in front of the nurses station. I watched two separate physician violate HIPPA and a patients right to privacy. I watched several nurses do the same. I should not be able to hear a patients medical history and prognosis. Also, nurses and physicians should not be assuming a patients insurance company without confirmation.Emma WI was airlifted there last month and they let me lay in the ER bleeding profusely for hours from my nose. They didn’t clean up my wounds and I had quite a few. No bandages on any of them. They didn’t clean the vomit, blood or urine of of me. They insulted me and made fun of me for getting sick. My face had multiple fractures. They didn’t tell me over half the injuries I sustained. I had to beg for an hour to urinate. They didn’t give me anything to drink after I got in a room and the next day they wouldn’t help me raise up to eat but was sure wanting me out of the room after not properly taking care of me. With that being said I went home with blood all over me open wounds , blood and vomit in my hair and a rash from urine on me. I should not have been so badly neglected. A few staff members were nice to me.Philip Hester⭐️⭐️⭐️I went to the ER for what seemed to be more serious. Quite frankly, an Upper Respiratory Infection exacerbated my Asthma/COPD. The doctors were not too pleasant about it. My “room” was a bed in the hallway with the room number on the wall next to it. This was a violation of patient confidentiality. It is because of the great nursing staff that I will not rate the ER department lower.Steven Whitemy sister had gotten in a fourwheeler wreck about a month ago once again very slow for meds for her wouldnt even flip her to her side even though they knew she had fractures in her back some nurses were nice others not so much i know i would not want to be taken here bc also people we in the hallwayPenny EmeryI am so disappointed in UK ER, I have my son here and there is plenty of rooms empty, they place him in the hall way. Others are in the hall as well. I have ask 3 different people if we can get a room and the first one got smart with me and told me they have reasons to place them in the hall. I am calling his insurance company and the hospital administration on Monday because I feel this is a breach in the hipaa law. I also told the nurse I felt this was a breach in hipaa law and she told us there were some rooms that have 3 or more people in them at times. This is the craziest thing I have ever heard of. We have been here for an hour and only the student and nurse have been to see him, no dr in sight. Yet we know he has a fever of 101.8 and no one seems to care enough to bring meds. This is ridiculous, and I am one upset momma.carverwillie⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI came for the orthopedic surgery, and I stayed for the sushi. Seriously – very caring and communicative staff both here and at UK Emergency. Thoughtful, awake people. They listened and would not leave the room if they even thought we were confused. I will be coming to UK hospitals for the rest of my life. Also, really good sushi in the dining area.Carollyn MooreThis is by far the worst place to go if an emergency happens. They make a scary and hard time 20 times harder.Doug PhelpsAug 23, 2019…came in for blood clots, including one in lung. Stayed 5 hours, was released with a diagnosis (already knew) and recommendation to see my doctor. Don’t ever go to Level 1 Trauma center unless you’ve been shot.Alex SoulfunkVery long wait and they charged us $2,100 for an IV bag that I could have made in my kitchen for $5.Mary DurenTerrible. Takes nurses an hour or more to bring me my meds so theyre always late.Shane Johnston⭐️⭐️⭐️Twice we have been here and twice they were to admit my wife only to have us stuck in the hallway ALL night. Never got a room in the hospital. Probably charged my insurance to be admitted to a room!. Staff act like it is a non stop coffee break and they are loud!!Mattie Caulder⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe night shift ER doctors and nurses were phenomenal. The nurses went above and beyond in making me feel safe, and my doctors went to great lengths in helping me understand everything they were doing and why it was important. In the middle of a trauma I have never felt more safe and protected. My life was in the best hands possible and I am so thankful for each of them! Truly a wonderful and talented team. Thank you all!Beth Bennett⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWas thoroughly impressed with the entire staff, all were professions, caring and accommodating.Alice HappelHad the doctor tonight say these words in the ER, “You didn’t go to medical school or something. If it was an emergency then we would be concerned.” Sorry if I talked to technical to you, but yes, I did go to college and know my medical terminology and physiology. You asked for symptoms my son had been experiencing. They were given as asked and then you make that statement to us. I shut my mouth and let you walk out of the room and let the nurses take over in his care. You are the reason I will seek another hospital in the future. You need to study on the Modern Version of the Hippocratic Oath: “I will remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy, and understanding may outweigh the surgeon’s knife or the chemist’s drug.”GP BrotherVery slow hospital. If some happen never bring here ERNatalie R.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Front desk workers are typically not very friendly. However, I had a kidney stone and my nurses were AMAZING. Especially SteelyJo and Abriana, as well as a male nurse, Jason. I hate hospitals. I’m only 19 and I was there without my family because I am in Lexington for college. The night shift ER nurses I had were outstanding. They took care of me well and made me feel comfortable. I feel like I can’t thank them enough!Sherrie Burns⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Very efficient, all was good in the ER. After that was a different storyTayla AttwoodWaited for 7 hours for testing for a possible blood clot in my brain. Sat for 4.5 hours with no pain management with a severe headache. Had to discharge myself to go to a different hospital where I could actually be treated instead of sitting in a hospital bed, not seeing anyone any more often than every 2 hours. 4 doctors in a matter of 7 hours, and didn’t even check on my baby. Said a pregnancy in the second trimester isn’t considered “viable” so they weren’t going to check to see if everything was ok. Disappointed and will not recommend this hospital to others.Økåÿ Thęń ŚtęvęTMSlow hospital, late on their procedures.anete grimCalled to give updated billing information and was transferred 5 times and then was hung up on before I could give anyone updated information. Seems to be very poor customer service!Andrea BertrandThe ER here is worst ever if I wasn’t so sick and stuck here with my baby in the childen hospital here I would of just stay away from that ER I felt I was ignored left in hallway in bed the nurses would rather sit around and talk to each other then do their job I want to just walk out but the IV that was put in hurt so bad I could barely move without being in pain I told the guy that so many time my that it was really painful and felt like my arm was Throbbing so much when they put the fluid in my arm got bigger and more painful where I was screaming in pain but children hospital is very good place to go if you got a sick childCameron RobinsonDon’t ever bring your family members here.Gary Coulter⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedCaring hospitalgisselle cantarero⭐️⭐️⭐️Take forever to attend
