Before you go to UMMC Midtown Campus, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Baltimore emergency room think.
Chinedu Odurukwe⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedLocation is convenient with affordable parking if your ticket is validated. You can schedule appointments with all types of health care professionals. Customer service is great and staff are friendly.craig steeleThe doctors in the ER are students basically ran by a overseeing Doctor Who never has the time to actually come see what’s going on with you, they release you and yet you wind up in another hospital the next morning for three months. Although this place said I’d be just fine go home and drink plenty of fluids.Waleed AbdelAzeez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis place is Amazing! I’m sure I’m forgetting something but 3 Doctor visits, 5 nurses, 3 techs, dietary, care, x-ray, ekg, blood sugar, blood drawn, blood culture, speech, PT, and a plan in place; ALL within less than 24 hours.Dimeatrice MasonWaited almost 3 hoyrs for a bed basically til shift change only to have nurse tell me she just got here. They don’t care about their patients at this hospital at all.Gloria ToddWaiting 15 to sometimes 20 and 30 minutes just to get basic patient information is ridiculous. If this is normal practice at UMMC Midtown, I pray to God I never have to be hospitalized at this facilityKarmel WarrenI had an appointment with the opthamologist doctor today, second floor, and the wait time was unbelievable. I hope I never have to go back.A K⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe had a yearly physical at the Pediatrician facility. The whole staff was very nice. The doctor who saw us was insightful. The assistant nurse was sweet and took great care of my daughter. Very good people working there. A special thank you to Miss Edna. She went above and made sure we had everything we needed from our previous pediatrician. We enjoy our visit.Michael TaylorThis place should close as they are stealing from the public trust. Unprofessional and awkward. I had a kidney stone and the only relief I received was passing it while waiting. They seemed completely uncaring, indifferent and I truly felt as if I was an inconvenience. Don’t get sick downtown.Josh Pumphrey⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy brother was recently an inpatient at UMD Midtown Campus, on 4 North. He received exceptional care from the ED and on the Surgical Unit 4 North. I’ve never been in a hospital where EVERYONE was helpful and pleasant!! The Doctors and Nurses listen and truly care!! I was impressed!!Derea SmithICU nurse had a attitude problem my daughter ask her if she was having a bad day. The patient ask for a pillow he was told that he should have ask the Tech that she have 3 patients . I thought she said more so I ask how many patients. Then on top of that he was calling nurses station no one never answer. I can’t wait till he come home leave. I just want to thank the nurse manager.cibervaderSo, after waiting 13 hours in the waiting room to fix my sister’s jaw that should have been wired shut, but had 1 screw missing and another halfway out, we were basically told to just go home and nothing was done for her to fix the problem. The reason giving for not doing the surgery was that “There are too many people in the waiting room to sedate her” and yet there was a quarter of the people in the waiting room when we left compared to when we arrived. I and my entire family will not be forgetting this. We are going to be telling our extended family, our friends, their friends and random strangers for years about this horrible experience. We drove an hour and a half because we trusted UMMC to help my sister, clearly that trust was misplaced as this ER is nothing but a bad joke. The staff were fine, but the doctors were just clowns in doctors costumes! Even after UMMC’s oral surgery team recommended to them to do the surgery they still refused! But don’t worry, despite the doctor in charge that night being entirely void of any compassion, she was sure to tell us how bad she feels for all of this happening, when she was the cause of it!Tabitha RedmerI was brought into the ER here last night because something was slipped in my drink at a club. My entire body was numb and shaking, and I was seriously dehydrated, and I couldn’t breathe (visibly and loudly hyperventilating). No tests were run for any kind of date rape drugs or anything of that nature, I was not given any IV fluids despite an alcohol level of 168 (normal is 10, so definite alcohol poisoning), no oxygen for my labored/painful breathing, and I had to beg repeatedly to even have a cup of water. The four hour visit ended with her telling me what I knew (that I was drugged), but she had no way to verify or document it, and told me to see my primary care doctor. I got no treatment. There was a noteworthy nurse there: I believe his name is Antonio, and he was the only part of the visit that didn’t make me feel like I was dying.Joshua LoweThis place is a joke. Better off finding a monkey to help you.Janice HughesYOU CAN NO LONGER FIND MY REVIEW ON GOOGLE REGARDING THIS FACILITY “Maryland General Hospital” As for this poor woman, GOD Bless her and I hope that some how or some way an attorney with COMPASSION grabs hold of this and has this Lady sitting pretty for the rest of her life. Our family has documentation of the lack of real care and how poorly ran this facility really is. TELL ME WHAT I WANT TO HEAR is the philosophy of the staff then when you leave nothing of which was stated happens except the constant badgering for insurance information. I have forms where my brother was to sign his name but being he was not quit aware of what they were talking about, he put his address there. I was told that he shook his head yes when asked if he understood what he was signing. Incompetent-I brought this to their attention! THIS IS MY PAST REVIEW OF THIS FACILITY FOR WHICH I AM NOT SURPRISED BY THE ACTIONS OF THE STAFF ON THIS HELPLESS LADY. BY THE WAY, IF YOU SEND SOMEONE A CARD OR FLOWERS, MAKE SURE THEY RECEIVED THEM BY GOING THERE! Pictures taken of the room in the Post Acute Specialty Program 6th floor in January 2017 but as of July 2017 nothing had changed. 8/15/2017-UPDATE: My Brother is no longer with us, he died at this facility. If you care about your loved one, do what ever it takes to keep them from being placed in the Post Acute Specialty Program-6th Floor! The pictures I have of the rooms where patients are on respirators would make you cringe. If you have no other choice, then visit your loved one as much as possible to make sure they are really being cared for. If your lucky, you may get one of only two sitters that really cared about my bothers care. We came to visit my brother and found him in a state of almost full unconsciousness, the sitter thought he was asleep? It took the staff 45 minutes to get him into ICU-that was May my brother passed in July. My brother is now at what they call a hospital for rehab. It has to be the dirtiest, over neglected facility in the state of Maryland. You cannot even see out of the windows for the dirt and the window shades either don’t work or are falling down. Forget air condition, fans running everywhere. The vents to the air conditioner are filthy as well. It is suppose to be a rehab facility but I feel you will need rehab after you leave. Wipe your feet on the way out. I truly feel for the people that live in this area who HAVE to depend on this hospital for medical care. Insurance is probably the reason most people are sent here, not the care for which you are told but to cut down on expenses. Shame on whoever is in charge of this facility. I don’t think even the health department bothers to check this place out. GOD Bless the neighboring community that relies on this hospital (and I use this term loosely) for medical care. HAD TO GIVE ONE STARE BECAUSE YOU CANNOT LEAVE IT BLANK!Davina ArthurYour Hospital wheeled a patient outside, in 30° weather, that was clearly having some kind of medical issue and showing signs of some kind mental deffiency on the night of January 9th, 2018. She was completely naked except for nothing but a hospital gown. No underwear, nothing but that gown. I hope and pray I’m never in Baltimore and have to be admitted to your facility because if I have a choice, I would definitely go elsewhere. You guys are truly pathetic!Loretta Turner⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI work there as an RRT and I saved a life that day.AshleyIf you don’t care for yours and the people you love well-being then this is the right place for you! They also add a bonus of dumping you out in the freezing cold. May The Odds Be Ever In Your Favor.pseudocasterApparently the fallout from the patient dumping has swung the pendulum in the opposite direction. I have been waiting close to 12 hours for Dr. Sandhu to release my mother. He’s not in the building and not answering his phone. Utterly ridiculous, I hope we never have to deal with this place again.Khurram ZaveriBetter off dead than go here. These idiots threw a confused, mentally ill patient out on the freezing streets wearing just a hospital gown. Disgusting !!Casey bruceThis is a hospital that is managed by heartless profiteers. The US healthcare system is a travesty & this hospital is a shining example of that fact.jack ofalltradesIf you want to come out alive from that ratcheted hospital, my suggestion to you would be do NOT go to MIDTOWN. If they try to take you there with an ambulance, jump out that way you end up at Shock Trauma and you live to see another day.Sadra Franco—I was sent to this hospital on 1/9/18 after coughing and not being able to catch my breath (turns out I have bronchitis). I had fallen that morning on ice and have Fybromyalgia so my movement is not the best. Due to my coughing and lack of breathing I am unable to talk. The nurse that took me from the emergency response team was very rude and yelled at me the whole time. She was telling me to push myself up and telling me no that isn’t right. If someone would have looked at my medical history they would have known it was not easy for me to do. She also told me to calm down in a rude voice, asking me questions and getting more irritated that I was unable to answer. The doctor, Rupinder Singh, MD came in and looked at me. He told me to open my mouth and then chuckled to the nurse saying he didn’t even need a light there is nothing wrong. I was so mortified and upset. I wish I could have spoken up for myself but I couldn’t speak. I also had poor medical service. They have me instructions for an inhaler and nebulizer but I never received one. I had to see my primary doctor to get these items. They also never checked my back or asked me if I was hurting from my fall. I am in so much pain it is unbearable. This hospital does a good job of making themselves look good on paper but in reality they are horrible. I highly suggest going elsewhere for treatment and I will be sure to let my job know not to send anyone there in the future.Grace RSHAME ON YOU FOR PUTTING VULNERABLE PATIENTS ON THE STREET IN AN ALTERED STATE! I hope you get sued out of business. Your security guards are deplorable human beings and the fact that your facility even has the practice, official or not, of doing this to people puts you in violation of the hippocratic oath. Sickening.Tanya BrathallWhat a disgrace to humanity. Wheeling a woman out in a gown and socks and leaving her on the sidewalk in freezing weather. Shame on all of you nasty people involvedJesseca WhitehurstHow could you just leave an ill woman outside in a hospital gown in the freezing cold? This is absurd! For the individuals who stood and watched who helped wheel her out do you have no humanity or compassion? The investigation should result to the woman suing the hospital and those individuals as well as those individuals being terminated. This makes me sick.NoahThis hospital clearly does not genuinely care for its patients. I’m glad their true colors were shown on this video. Shame on all the staff for taking part in this inhumane decision.Adam CharneyFor those of you wondering why the developed/industrialised world scoffs at the American ‘healthcare’ system, visit UMMC Midtown for your answer.JS GoA hospital with absolutely no humanity whatsoever.Velveeta Thomas⭐️⭐️⭐️My experience was not a bad experience there at University it’s just that it’s an old hospital and you cannot put new on top of old and it seems like it’s not enough rooms really for emergencyJasson MajiaThis place is forced a patient to be discharged and then dumped her on the street naked in 30 degree weather …. SHAME ON EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!! Karma comes around!!!!Jane RoarkThis hospital’s behavior in discharging a woman — in a hospital gown and socks — in below freezing weather — was beyond deplorable. NO ONE should pay this hospital for anything. The government should deny its claims for Medicare and Medicaid and Tricare patients. It is obviously a inhumane organization.Dasia SimmsThe video of the mentally I’ll woman was horrific. NO human being should be treated like that.Rachel HallThey Put my little sister outside at a bus stop in 30 Degree weatherRalph JohnsonIf I could give this place no stars, I would still be too generous.Kia⭐️⭐️⭐️Takes forever to see a doctor when you’re in the ERRadwanullah KakarSham on you and your management of being inhumanGinnell Ray-StanfieldOMG really??9Shame .Angel M(Translated by Google) I just hope that the people who authorized and left the woman to rot under a bridge, then you will talk pedantically about China or North Korea, the US is rotten by neoliberal capitalism that is baited even with the most basic of humanity .
