Allison Bateman⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have never experienced such a high level of care! The residents and attending physicians are extremely well trained, the front staff are extremely efficient, and everyone was kind. The only people I came into contact with that weren’t necessarily kind (but not super unkind either) were two of the nurses, but the level of care I received made up for that. Went in with a significant amount of pain from an unknown issue, and left knowing exactly what was wrong, prescription in hand, and peace of mind. I spend maybe 4 hours there total on a Sunday night and everyone was very attentive the entire time. The bad reviews are from people who don’t understand that an ED sees the critical patients first. When someone else is literally dying beside you, you don’t mind waiting an extra 30 minutes to see the doctor. Wonderful hospital, wonderful experience.Casey SmatanaNeurological Issues Beware. I went to the ER for arm pain and weakness on my left side in mid-June. I was hoping to receive an MRI and a referral to a Neurologist. I spent 5 hours in a hallway and explained my symptoms over and over again to multiple residents and then finally the chief resident. I was refused the MRI and was told they could not refer me to the neurology department, because THERE IS A WALL BETWEEN THE ER AND THE NEUROLOGY DEPARTMENT. Do not visit the ER in the attempt to schedule a neurology appointment. The doc told me he is sorry about this and that sometime the medical system fails you. I spent my whole day there and received no help and was charged $600 after insurance. I have since found out that I have a ruptured disc that has been causing the nerve damage. This could have been caught in a simple MRI in mid-June as would have saved me permanent nerve damage on my left side.kk kkNot sure why they do short info when you come in wait for 2 1/2 hours then they register you and sent back to wait havent even seen anyoneCassa FoglemanSit and wait 3 hours. The doctor comes and talks to you for 2 minutes, sends you home with same pain I came in with. Will not be backAmy Fenlason⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Had a painfully long 9 hour wait in the Emergency Room but was very pleased with the staff and care received. Was very impressed with Dr. Matthew Scholer. He brought things to our attention that another hospital never even told us about when we were under their care. He answered all of our questions – excellent doctor.Sam SamMy kids was soo sick we was inside the room for over 2 to 3 hours the only one came it’s the Discharged guy to take the Med info other then that it’s like we was never there. Never again I would recommend duke. UNC Filthy hospitalJacob Mockler⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedStop leaving low reviews on ERs our society would be in shambles without emergency medicine all of the reviews are just gripes imagine what the doctors nurses coordinators and staff get to deal with! Yes. It’s taking you quite some time to get seen for pains, there is a balloon holding open a man’s heart. Thank you to all of the brave and crazy people that give their lives and time to help us.Regs AyaThis is the worst er experience I have ever had. I have been waiting in the er for over 7hours. I understand the er is a busy place but this is a very very long wait time to stay in an er.Larry PeacockWorst facility I have ever seen. My wife has currently been waiting to be seen for over 7 hours. She has spine problems so it is unbearable for her to sit in a chair for even short periods of time. But 7hours! Staff is very rude. I simply asked for a possible estimate of time, and was met with a very stern response about my attitude. And told if I couldn’t wait “then leave. ” I am very shocked as I was treated here years ago ( not in the ER) and received the highest level of care. Will update when we are seen. If she can stand to wait that long.Camping FanDon’t go at night! You are going to spend hours watching 95% of the employees walk around drinking StarBucks and chatting. Sad there is such a difference at night!!Alexandre PenningtonOne of the worst experiences of my life. I had to wait for over 4 hours to get finally taken care of. And the nurses did not care about my wellbeing whatsoever. I must say the doctor was quite nice. But the vibe of this ER is awful. There is trash everywhere, disorganized, and the nurses are rude. I would NOT recommend this place. And I come from a third world country, I know what precarious feels like. This is definitely worse…Emily Arnott AultmanThis is where the doctor/resident rejects go! I’ve never seen or dealt with such a disorganized group of people. I was supposed to have blood work. Been given fluids, I was extremely dehydrated..and pregnant. They simply forgot? You would think in their line of work, when the stakes are kinda high.. they would be more mindful. But, no. We saw predominantly residents with zero bedside ma inner that carried himself like a 12 year old. Avoid at all costs.Jennifer AlvaradoIm just very disappointed my experience with them lately he hasn’t been great. My first complaint is once we got to the ER department the valet said that they didn’t have any place to park my vehicle mind you I’m there bc my child Sprint her leg and that I would have to park in the parking deck which cost a dollar fifty an hour and not knowing how long I’m going to be in the ER I thought that was kind of ridiculous my second complain is one of the doctors had put a splint on my child and later I found it was put on wrong causing my child to have sores on her foot from the splint rubbing against it. I just thought it was beyond ridiculous something so simple !! They just really need to get on top of their game .lele g⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe Doctors and medical staff was very nice. I would always come back. Ppl have to stop been rude to the staff ….. update ! I was again in for I very bad ear infection in October 2019 like always they was very helpful and caring. The ER Doctor called a ENT to check on me UNC is the best place to go. Thanks to everybody you guys are amazing.Mary Moore⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBest Hospital In NCMyah RossI was triaged for a slip and fall, swelling in my neck and weakness on my left side. I received CTscans, MRIs, and was in pain for the majority of my stay. I arrived at 5:45pm on December 26th and my boyfriend finally got upset around 3am the following morning, after I had still received no answer to the source of my pain or what I should do next. I hope other’s will be able to find acceptable care in an emergency.Shen HoxJust checked in at UNC emergency, I have to say that these people is really rude. I just got yelled at the check-in for no damn reason. I will be looking for the supervisor on my way out.Jenn NessleyI used to like this hospital but their level of compassion has dropped off dramatically. I can’t even get a simple question answered. And when I needed to inform the nurse about something I was redirected twice and told to stand and wait. I have chronic constant pain that inhibits my ability to stand. They didn’t offer an alternative. They are all short and rude. Even the doctors are disrespectful. I just want to find out why I’m in pain and they treat me like an addict. I’m not on anything. Never have been. I’m just in pain. They have no compassion.Nicole GuidoIn November, I had a very cyst on my left ovary (I was a few weeks pregnant at the time) that had twisted in the middle of the night. So I went in and waited for almost 4 hours screaming in pain until they FINALLY sent someone to do an ultrasound. A couple nurses came in and told me to be quiet during those 4 hours but that was all. I would never bring my child there.Insane MastermindNormally the compassion here is felt and my last visit I went in at 11:30am and didn’t get seen or even checked on within the 5 hours I was there!!! I finally decided to go home and nurse myself back to health! They were understaffed and stressed out which I get but they could have at least made sure people were checked on and comfortable! They made me feel like I was not important to even talk to.tilak thomasits a comlete fraud facility we went for our sons treatment we were waiting for 7 hours for noting and after two weeks we got a bill for $ 2200 dollars.Renee JacksonIf I could I wouldn’t rate anything. We have been in the emergency department for several hours. We have pressed the call button like 100 times and no response. This is by far the worst experience ever.Adventures Of Junebug⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBeen here about three times so far , alot better service than other area hospitals. Every nurse we spoke to was very nice and professional. I would recommend unc to anyone!Gerald AmedeeIf there was anything lower it should apply to this hospital!Carly AmendolaIn the two hours that I sat in the waiting room of the emergency department in excruciating pain from an IUD displacement, one person was called back to be seen. One person in two hours? There were three people in the waiting room. Three. Does it really take that long to call the person back who is in excruciating pain and who could be in danger of the effects of an IUD displacement? Doesn’t seem like a great hospital to me. The staff was incredibly rude and could not provide me with a wait time. I won’t get a chance to comment on the doctors because I didn’t even get a chance to see one. The UNC hospital system has greatly failed and focuses more on boasting about their reputation rather than actually seeing patients. Go waste your time somewhere else.Erika & LunaI use to love it here but After tonight NO!!!! Ive had a serious stomach pain & my uterus was killing me. I have a history of a cyst & I just wanted to make sure I didn’t have it & everything was ok. The nurse who checked me in was very rude !!!!!!!! I told her what was wrong with me & she says “So you here for your stomach or throat which one ?” I waited 3 hours with this pain & freezing cold ! Mind you there was barely anyone in the waiting room no one was getting called for almost 2 hours. Ppl after me who looks oh so fine got checked. I told the nurse i was leaving & see the doctor tomorrow. “you understand we are bery busy & We are a ER. You understand right ? Its not first come first service so?” With a rude attitude. Very disappointed on my visit tonight !Brie Nyc⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI had surgery there and stayed a week before they are awesome and kind and the nurse I’ve seen ever since is my favorite everjustin tulipI went to the ER with no other options, I had been on a medication since I was 18(31 now) and after a battery of unnecessary tests they found nothing to warrant what they accused me of. I had wanted to come of the medication but that it could result in death. Dr.Lawson and his med student forced me into seeing one of their providers for addiction treatment. I am not an addict and have never abused any medication. But they said that there was no other choice. I talked to many doctors and they said UNC was WRONG. It caused more life threatening side effects. They are a fraud and my lawyer is already pressing charges. They are hack pushing for pharmaceutical companies. Steer clear! Your life depends on it!!!!!Hijrah Hassouneh⭐️⭐️Very inefficient and poor communication. The resident was shocked herself that our inhaled epinephrine order for my 3 year old took over an hour to come down. It wasn’t until we said something did it magically show up. Funny how it took 5.5 hours to just get a dose of steroids and inhaled epinephrine, yet when we told them we were leaving the insurance lady was in our room within 20 seconds to collect payment.Tsafrir Livne⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedSuper professional and attending. Though not the place for routine healthcare, as some might think, the doctors do their best effort to come up with the most efficient and satisfactory treatment to get you out of there as soon as possible, but without compromising your health.Jessica Russell⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAfter spending way too many hours in unbelievable tooth pain, I came to the emergency department in tears. Within two hours I was seen, treated, and released. My pain level was at approximately 4 billion when I walked in, and came down to a 3 when a left. Thanks for helping me breathe again!Ylenia JaramilloWaited 7 hours for a doctor to see my daughter that had a back earring piece stuck in her ear on A Tuesday night, worst part is there was not many people in the waiting room!!! Then you have to pay $10 for parking!EB 19If I could give it zero stars, I would. I arrived at the emergency room at 10:30pm, in excruciating pain from an ear infection. I sat in the waiting room for six hours. When I asked a nurse how much longer I would be waiting, at around 3:00am and in tears from the pain, she told me that “sicker people go first, hopefully someone can see you sometime,” and didn’t take my pain seriously. Luckily, there was one incredibly kind nurse who took me in to see a doctor because I was in so much pain. I finally got treatment and left at 6:30 a.m. In all, I waited seven hours, on a Monday night, for treatment, and then had to pay $10 for parking because I had been there for so long. Suffice to say, I will never be coming back.Pat Joyner⭐️⭐️I was taken there from another department because my blook pressure was extremely high. After telling the doctor why I was brought to ER, his response was, “You have no other symptoms, so why did they bring you here. He checked my BP and it was extremely high. He told me to follow up with my MD and left the room. Very unprofessional. Very disappointed.K Bryson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedSerious problems need a serious hospital.Kayla MoodyDo NOT GO .find a better hospital they are unprofessional thieves and need to be shut down!!!Carmen Padilla⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat placeKara Repenning MaloneWe had the worst NP named Kathleen Tiu. She treated me like a prisoner.Morroxs bautistaI almost died waiting there
