After a long streak of bad healthcare in other states USA health university hospital was a breath of fresh air. The patient care was awful. From the time he was admitted until he was discharged it was one of the worst experiences of his life. The nurses and nurses assistants need to be reminded they are there for the patient. Leave your personal attitude at the time clock and remember you are there to take care of the patient. You know it’s bad when a staff member admits that they have problems within the hospital. My fiance was given a full bottle of magnesium citrate for a little bit of constipation from the pain medication. Needless to say he became very ill and in the restroom all night while dealing with burns and no one came into his room to help him. This was totally unwarranted when all he needed was a mild laxative. He did not need something that is used to help clean your colon out. They forget there is a person beyond the bandages. The discharge was worse than his stay at the hospital. He was left in the lobby of the hospital for over two hours waiting on transport when he should have been in his room until his transport arrived. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. I am not sure which was worse, the accident that burned him or the hospital stay and the staff.Stone Carrier If you don’t look hurt, don’t come here. 9 hours of waiting, no referral paperwork, and information/test were done multiple times because of staff miscommunications. The fluid IV also had air bubbles in it because of being in a rush.Frank Cornman Worst place to go if you have chest pains and history of heart problems or previous heart attack. Been here 3 hrs for chest pains, not seen a Dr and I asked if they could at least take a blood test to check for elevated enzymes for signs of heart attach knowing that takes hours for results to come back. Was told no nurse practitioner on site at night to take blood. They are only here during the day. Will have to wait to see someone to take blood. WOW!
