Virginia Hospital Center Reviews

Before you go to Virginia Hospital Center, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Arlington emergency room think.

Hooma N. Reza I’m still not sure why this want covered properly by lnsuramxe. If they had explained the costs I would not have approved care. There has to be a better way to explain care.i didn’t get Bill for services until6 months later because they inputted wrong address.Matt Owens⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff at this ER are the absolute best in the industry. Their bedside manner and patience with patients is top notch!Linda Critchfield Very crowded and 5 hour wait time start to finish. First we waited in the waiting room; then my husband had to wait on a cot in the hallway in the ER right where the ambulances come in. It was a crowded mess where everyone seemed to be waiting to be seen. There seemed to be too few ER docs! Would recommend another ER if you have a choice.Sandra Moglica This ER yesterday was a disgrace. I felt unsafe and in a 3rd world country after sitting in the lobby for 3 hours in a gown no under garment on, with an IV port in my arm and being triaged while sitting in the lobby due to no rooms. So much for insurance, everyone (I mean everyone gets treated here) disgusting…. and unprofessional. While the 27 people came in during my time I was there, The front desk person shouts out loud from a distance what brings you in today? No compassion, or privacy and expects the patients to tell him outloud what the problem is meanwhile he is sitting approximately 3-4 feet from you, and talking to his friends out loud between and during patients. There were families with 4 kids coming in with their big bags of burgers, eating their lunch in there, and got a room in 10 minutes, probably to get them out of the lobby, hostile patients were leaving the ER on their own to go eat in cafeteria because they felt neglected after sitting for 5-6 hours. There was a “regular” (from what the admissions person told me) homeless man in there that smelled so bad and had very soiled clothes and a towel over his face ran into me twice. He almost fell on me, after I moved 3x to stay away from him. I lost it, and I felt unsafe and asked to be discharged immediately. I had chest pains and left there feeling worst than when I got there. When I demanded to speak to the hospital administrator and doctor to get Immediately discharged, a rude triage nurse came out and called my name with an attitude and said I can bring you back, and put you in the hallway, we don’t have a room for you. Seriously, I was shaking, NO THANKS!!! I was irate and had a hard time driving home after this. Very Shameful!!! A security guard should be on guard at this place. I will be filing a formal complaint. If safety is their top priority, they should have monitored the ER and if they know this mental illness/ homeless man that comes in regularly, it proved to me that they do not protect the patients in anyway!!!shane b⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBest ER experience I ever had. In and out in less than 2hrs. Nurse was very friendly and obviously cared about her patients.Tuyen Le This place is a hoax. My wife went to the clinic and they sent her here to check up. She had a chest pain and It didn’t get any better after taking medicine. We waited for 2 hours then they let us into the hallway of the emergency rooms. We wait for for another hour before they go and do standard checkup such as blood and urine. Although the clinic told them to do X-Ray and CAT scan only. We try to be patient and wait. We ended up waited for 2 hours before they go ahead and do some CAT scan. And after another 2 hours. They said “GO HOME AND TAKE SOME ASPIRIN”. Now on my insurance I have a “BILL SAYING I OWE THEM $8,000” After insurance cover “I STILL OWE THEM $2,000” NEVER NEVER COME HERE. I have great respect for doctors but DOCTORS and NURSES here are the worst. The whole time we had to sit in the hallway ALTHOUGH THEY HAVE EMPTY ROOM AVAILABLE. By they way the doctor name is “CHRISTOPHER K LAWLER, CO”Rani Eng⭐️⭐️⭐️After we got there in an ambulance it took them over an hour to see my one year old who was bleeding from the head. Once we saw the doctor, everything was great but he administration and check in staff were horrible. The wait was agonizing, patients were crying in the waiting room. Wouldn’t go back for an emergency.Samah Al Momen Waited five hours in ER !! They kept saying no room available then they told me the alleviator is broken ! finally after five hours the doc came to see me without reading my blood test results or what kind of medications the nurse gave me !! The nurses were unfriendly and inexperienced ! the poor management and staff and alleviates your pain! I spent a total of 7 hours in that horrible ER !Taha Lee Why they called it an emergency room??? What waist of time. and they aren’t busy at all it was around 10am.John Snow Very inexperienced nurses and doctors here. They caused me bleeding and let me go without giving me anything, pretending a little bit of blood is not a problem… had another issue but it wouldn’t be treated because „we are an emergency care“… Don’t go there!Gent Didi⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWondeful doctors that did their outmost to help me, and great nursing staff, especially the wonderful mrs. Raven.Emma Schwartz RUDDEST NURSES IVE WVER EXPERIENCED AND MY RN COULDNT EVEN GET AN IV IN I HAVE A BRUISE THE SIZE OF MY ENTIRE INNER ELBOW. I’m disgraced and disgusted by the service. Please avoid this hospital at all possible costs.Alexis Friend Majority of the nurses are VERY Rude and have the worst bedside manner. If you don’t like ur job that’s fine but don’t make others suffer! Never will I be back again. WORST STAFFF!!!!!!!!Jayde Staiti Went in for a 2 visits and they did not charge my insurance. They sent me to collections. Have called and went in a 3rd time to provide them again with my insurance but they have not fixed it. My credit has taken a hit and I’m still receiving bills for those 2 visits.Meghan O⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI felt safe and welcomed the moment I walked in. The staff were so friendly and professional even at the late midnight hour that I was there. I did not interact with any unpleasant staff. I was so nervous to be in the ER for my first time and all my anxieties about the ER were displaced immediately. They were fast, efficient and were willing to spend the time to answer all of my million questions even though it was a busy night.Yaz L⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAmazing hospital, everyone genuinely cares about you and will move as quickly and efficiently as possible with you. I’m so glad I came here.Dawn B⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedExcellent care! All friendly and caring professionals from the folks answering the telephone to PA’s/Nurses and Doctors to Pharmacy staff. They want to get it right!CWDD 1401⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe staff was professional and caring. Excellent bedside manner from the ER physician to the front desk attendant. The x-ray technician was helpful and understanding. Despite the fact that I was in an incredible amount of pain (broken ribs) this couldn’t have been a better experience. I can’t say enough about the staff!R T Usually Virginia Hospital Centers ER does a great job. However that was not the case during my most recent visit. If you end up here and end up having Dr. David Griswell as your doctor, immediately ask for someone else. The doctor didn’t listen to a word I said and acted like he had better things to do. I came into the ER because I was assaulted two days prior and I still couldn’t move my arm, I had massive swelling in my forearm and shoulder, I had a deformity of my right collarbone, I had been knocked unconscious and was still having severe nausea, couldn’t keep anything down, and was still having ringing in my ears. The doctor never examined me other than to listen to my lungs and heart through my shirt. I vomited twice while in the ER and I asked for something to help with the nausea and a new puke bucket. I never got either. They did an X-ray of my arm and shoulder and said everything was normal. When I first arrived I asked if anyone called to see if I was here or if anyone showed up looking for me to please not tell them I was there. I have a stalker and my stalker has assaulted me multiple times. When back in my room in the ER I asked the same thing. Both times I was told it wouldn’t be an issue. Sure enough someone called to see if I was there and they were told what room I was in (one of the ER employees told me that someone called looking for me and said they told them what room I was in that way they could call the room directly). The physician discharged me and sent me home. So I came in unable to move certain body parts, in severe pain, and nauseated and I left the same way. Thankfully I know my body pretty well and I knew something was wrong. I went to another ER where they redid the X-rays and did a CT of my head. Sure enough I have a broken clavicle (collarbone), two breaks in my ulna and wrist, a separated shoulder, a hairline skull fracture, a hairline orbital fracture, and a severe concussion. The second ER I went to called their oncall ortho in to see me because they were concerned that I would need surgery. Sure enough, the ortho looked at my X-rays and examines my arm and shoulder and I need to have emergency surgery. So whatever was more important than my health to Dr. David Griswell, well I hope it went well and was worth it. I will definitely think twice before returning to Virginia Hospital Center.Mallory Bramlett⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI’ve been here a couple of times, and the staff at the ER are phenomenal. Great experiences.Angela Caron⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedOn July 13 I fell and dislocated my shoulder. As a result I experienced my first trip to the ER and my first transport by Ambulance. Adam and Kevin the EMTs were wonderful , Adam staying with me while treating me and talking me through what was happening, and Kevin apologizing ahead of time for the bumpy roads. While in the ER Dr. Christopher Lawler) carefully explained the procedures necessary to reset my shoulder. He was wonderful and professional and made a painful experience doable. So, too, were the staff in my ER room , nurses and techs. A heartfelt thank you to all. We are fortunate to have Virginia Hospital Center here in Arlington.
