Jay cyrus⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEveryone from the front desk to the room were all great. They all took time to make sure my baby was comfortable and didn’t rush everything. They took time to actually speak to us and to show and explain things. I felt that they really cared for my sonJan Clark⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy son was transported to Wake Med Peds ED last month. We received wonderful care! The staff and providers kept us informed and made my son feel very comfortable. I am very impressed with the level of care provided. Thank you!Kelly Umstead⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThe level of care our 3 year old received last night after sustaining a pretty bad cut on his head was beyond amazing. From the moment we entered the ED to the moment we left he was treated wonderfully. Thank you to everyone, sincerely! To parents/guardians: I hope you never have to visit an Emergency Department with your child but if you do Wake Med Children’s is top notch!Chelsea KendallCame to get a scan, took no less than 5 hours and our “room” was a bed in the hallway. Please get better equipment in your other hospitals so we don’t have to come back here.Rachel Shaver⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy daughter and I were brought by Ambulance to WakeMed Children’s ED after a car accident. From the moment we arrived the experience couldn’t have went better. The staff was absolutely amazing, they even checked me out right in the children’s ED so I wouldn’t have to leave my daughter. Our nurse Cynthia R was kind, attentive, empathetic and turned a bad situation into the best it possibly could be. Thank you for being so good to us in our time of need.Emily Narron⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have had to take my infant daughter here on two occasions at the recommendation of the after hours nurse line at her doctor’s office, and both times she was treated like royalty by all staff that we encountered. The wait times were short and treatment was prompt. There is no better place for emergency care for children!Renee M.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAbsolutely the children’s hospital ever! Excellent care, special staff.Renee Pierce⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWe were on vacation and found ourselves at Wake Children’s Emergency with our seriously injured child. I could not be happier with the care we received and I feel blessed that an emergency department that focuses on children was available. We came to Wake children’s after leaving another emergency room that gave us no attention despite a severely injured and bleeding child. At Wake we were seen and triaged within 10 minutes and in a room consulting with a doctor shortly after. The entire team here was focused on care specifically for children and the procedures were explained with professionalism and thoughtfulness. Although we were ultimately at Wake for many hours while our child was treated, we were very impressed with the care given by nurses and doctors and appreciated the care team that visited us throughout the night to offer toys, books and suggestions to pass the time and keep our son comfortable despite the scary situation. This emergency was a god send to us and knows how to treat children.Mariah BlueI brought my 5 month old daughter to the wakemed children’s emergency deptartment on Monday, March 18, 2019 roughly about 5pm after weeks of sickness, started to worsen by fever and cough and me being unable to get her into her pediatricians office the same day so we took her to the ER. My daughter’s congestion was so bad that when they attempted to drain her nasal passages she was stopped back up before the nurses left out of the room. They checked her weight and temperature, swabbed her nose but obviously didn’t run any test. The doctor on duty came into the room and said nothing was wrong with her and she was a completely healthy baby gaining weight and in a good weight class as she should, the doctor then said and I quote “Babies typically born in the winter are sick until the weather gets better” which is the DUMBEST thing I’ve ever heard then she followed that by saying “but I know how parents can worry so if you want i can refer you to an ENT but i wouldnt go that far because nothings really wrong with her and i wouldn’t think anything is anotomically wrong with her but if you want, I can refer you” and then we were dismissed after checking vital signs again and although the 2nd tempterature reading was a point and a half higher than the first, we were sent home. This was about a 45 minute visit. That night my 5 month old daughter’s tempturature raised to 103°. Two days later, I was able to take my daughter to her pediatrician and we found out through testing that she had two different strands of the FLU, A&B!!! I am completely and utterly disgusted with Wakemed Children’s Emergency Dept who didnt even try to find out what was wrong with my child!!! IF you’re not going to do your job, then you need to be SHUT DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!izzy murrayThis place was awful. Started making fun of me and didn’t even let me call my family.Heather-Jeff⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThere is no better place for children’s emergency care than the Children’s ER.Shaundi SYou’re kid could be dying and it wouldn’t phase them
