Before you go to WellStar Cobb Hospital, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Austell emergency room think.
Johnathan WilkinsSMH please get rid of this facility. There is no need for this place. You mind as well stay home take your own vitals. They sell all the equipment at Walmart. You be better off diagnosing yourself.Richard Mcallister⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGirlfriends been here twice both times seemed pretty prompt people need to be understanding that yes sometimes will be wait times you can’t predict when people are going to be injured or needing help. The staff is very friendly and nice very personable.ATL Driver⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI must say I had good service and treated well, the wait was not bad at all they got me in and outJackie O⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went to the ER around 1am while pregnant and anxious about possibly having broken my ankle and they were amazing! I was put in the front of the wait and they took great care in doing xrays in a safe manner for me. And everyone was so warm and friendly. They were very attentive to me (at least while pregnant). I was in and out! I don’t know what it would be like if I was not pregnant but there you go.Steffanie DelamoraWaited 7 hours with a actively bleeding hand wound. The triage nurse was EXTREMELY rude as I came up to ask wait time since my hand was bleeding all over the floor and her only response was “idk what to tell you”. Seven hours later, they take me back to an exam room for an attending to just come in and tell me they can’t saw me up. Literally did NOTHING to my hand and sent me home after that long wait. Just UNACCEPTABLE.Mary WashingtonA horrible hospital. Do Not Go! The people who work here including the Doctors do not care. They only want you out of the hospital and will give you a bunch of pills that have nothing to do with your true diagnosis. They do not explain side effects of medication until after you have taken the medication. Whatever you do do not go here.Jasmine NicoleI went to the ER based on the recommendation of my women’s care physician and it was probably the worst decision ever. After about 4 hours and thousands of $$$ in charges later. I left without any real plan or resolution to my medical issues. I was given a bunch of prescriptions that can be bought over the counter and an informational print-out that I could’ve looked up on WebMD myself. Don’t waste your time and only go here if absolutely necessary.Kyera CummingsDon’t call in, the ER is terribly rude. Disrespectful & Talking at you. Listening to someone talk crazy to my mom is not the way I wanted to start my morning off. Especially with the condition she’s in. At this point, I’m sure the ER will higher anyone. Everyone was definitely off topic and no privacy was offered until we passed the emergency room. Being admitted is a way better experience, however, you shouldn’t have to be admitted to receive respect. But they have a sign saying, we don’t tolerate any disrespect, then don’t disrespect me. Next time, the conversation will be recorded via telephone.Lenny Roule⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedPacked house!!! Professional staff dedicated to quality health care at the speed of life!!!Valerie Diaz⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Anytime you go to the emergency room it’s never going to be perfect. I didn’t get a room, but I did get the care I needed so I can’t deny them their stars. The doctor asked appropriate questions and changed my course of procedure half way through, but it’s good they they can adapt. Florida emergency rooms put this one to shame as far as making it an easier flow, but again, won’t deny them their stars.Nicole ManghamER staff is awful! Rude and unprofessional.David Reynolds⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️First of all, everyone there was absolutely fantastic for the most part. When I first came in, the front desk staff were amazing in the ER. The nurse like Peter were great. The technicians including Kristina in Ultrasound and Michelle in Radiology were amazing! There was a instance where one of the staff in the lobby went and got a family that had been there for a very long time, a small meal to help the young children get through this. This was a fantastic thing! This was the best experience I have ever had at any ER. We can all find reasons to complain. The catch is finding reasons to not. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is this. When night shift took over, the attitude of gratitude in the nursing staff changed. Went down precipitously. And while they say they streamlined the emergency room visit, and that they were going through more people, I was there for almost 6 hours to go through the full process. The process is a little redundant and can be handled by fewer people. Overall a great experience!Cyril BMy personal experience – The worst emergency care that we’ve been with. No sense of courtesy in understanding patients pain and we’ve been put to wait for 3+ hours without any update and finally was given Ibuprofen. No one cares you though you scream out of pain. Nurses were IRRESPONSIBLE. I would honestly not recommend to anyone. I will only give 0 stars but have given 1 star as it was not allowing me to post.devin daniels⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI was in a bad house fire and they let me go to the pediatric unit with my kids so we didn’t have to be separated. Even my ICU stay was amazing! They are all hard workers and you have to keep in mind how over worked they are. So thankful for the sweet nurses.CMP 313⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedWent in yesterday for increased heart rate, everyone there from the time I checked in to my being registered to my first exam were very nice and personable. Even though I spent a few hours there, it never felt like I sat in one place too long. A bunch of tests were done and they tell you it will take a bit of time to get the results. I had Dr. Ahola and Devora – they both put me at ease and I definitely felt better when I left. So pack your patience and a book and you’ll be fine while they do their work. God willing, I won’t need to go back however if I have another emergency I would hope to see the same team again. One thing to look out for though is the parking, it’s definitely limited.Margaret JohnsonWent into Cobb Er yesterday with fever from coughing and hurting it took them 4 hrs and they were not busy to get an x-ray and was told that they would give me something for pain and cough they never did and everyone was rude and just overlooked me finally was told I have flu and bronchitis and they gave me steriods and antibiotic I will never go there againJim Balkcom⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedAccompanied my dear friend on his check in to emergency room.I have never experienced such kind, competent, efficient and friendly staff. Nurse Julie Walker is superb. She was fast, effective and fun Dr.Boissonneault is just the best. She was spot on with diagnosis, meds and discharge.Others who checked Bill Moorer in and out and assisted in transfer to the car were professional and happy. What an amazing experience!Thank you all.We were in,diagnosed and out in less than 3 hours-unheard of!! Thank you Julie,Dr.B. and staff.Maerie ArielI’ve managed chronic depression and ptsd for 32 years. The ptsd is non aggressive. Very passive. I had fallen off roommate’s trailer hitch because I was stupid enough to help him. Anyway 3 nights after, I started having weird hallucinations (I don’t have hallucinations ) Despite the hematoma that covered half my thigh and many more, they sent me to PSYCH It turned out I hadn’t slept since I fell. They didn’t question me about the accident, just sent me to PSYCH. I had to beg for the ct. There are these two short girls in psyche who I think are worse than the twins in The Shining. Anyway, patient beware. They are extremely prejudiced against mental illness. I can’t tell you how many times they did a drug test on me there. Always comes up negative. Uneducated foolsKidra Gaines⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedJoy the nurse and anique the dr. are awesome I’m so happy i came here everything was great they should get 10 stars prompt and courteous service even the front desk had a fast check in and good greeting skills. Thank you for doing your job!!Nikki⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThankful for being treated within a reasonable amount of time. The nurse practitioner did a great job explaining things it was a smooth process and getting an ultra sound and the entire staff made sure that I understood everything that was going on with my body and procedures I was getting done.I was there for FOUR HOURS but it was ok because I left with everything that I needed.Ricky AllenI wouldn’t recommend this hospital. I was admitted for several medical problems and none were addressed. My ankles are severely swollen I’d been diagnosed six months ago with a bleeding ulcer and it’s been acting up recently. I have a lump on my back the size of a golf ball That several doctors have said was a possible Lipoma. This medical staff was rude and did absolutely nothing to address any of these that to me are serious. Also for the past month I’ve been unable to breath well..I laid there in a room without A toilet roe 24 hours before making the decision to get the heck out of there. I had to wait 4 hours for my ride to arrive and Two ladies working in the emergency room waiting area saw how weak I was and offered me some sandwiches and warm blankets. If anything good can be said of my wasted day. At Wellstar Cobb it was these two compassionate souls. G0d bless them. I wouldn’t recommend the medical staff to reapply a bandaid properly.Cheyenne Robinson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️At first, the wait time just to get into the ER was horrible! 8 whole hours! But since I’ve been admitted I’ve only had 1 horrible nurse but the rest are so sweet. Love doctor Macarthy.Jennifer Brown⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went in for back pain. While in triage they noticed my lack of oxygen. I was quickly scooped away given test after test. Within a few hours the wonderful doctors told me about a serious problem. I was admitted that evening. The transport team was great. The nursing staff who took care of me on the second floor was so amazing they treated me like I was part of the family. The doctors who came to see me and discuss my treatment where very thorough. I wish I could remember everyones name who took care of me. Thank you so much for the staff who took care of 283 bed1. Ms. Gail Harris, CCM, you are a miracle worker.S SReally had a terrible experience at this hospital. The wait is very, very long – HIPAA is violated with medical information spoken about at the front desk in front of guest and lab results aren’t even in their system for review after your visit. When calling the ER to speak to someone about their system mishap, you get no one who can help you. It took three days and one hour of calling to speak to someone heaven sent who was able to finally provide me some type of relevant information without transferring me. This is by far, the WORST hospital ever. I will take my chances of going somewhere else next time.Casey CathcartIf I could leave no stars I would. Came in for heart problems and waited for 4 hours before receiving treatment. Apparently having heart problems is considered a low priority compared to the people who are here just to get drugs.kenyatta stokes⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI really like this hospital. I’ve never been treated unfairly and the staff has never been rude. I’ve had some really nice nurses as well as doctor’s. Until I see different I will continue to choose Wellstar @ Cobb.kayci griffithThe absolute worst place to come. Waited 4.5 hours to be seen … no one asked my pain level … if i needed anything at all… the first bed i was given was in the hallway … by an ice machine . It feels disgusting … nothing looks to be sanitary AT ALL … The staff walk around as if their at the mall … I have never in my life been treated like nothing . I could’ve checked out and gone to another ER by the time the doctor had come to see me . DO NOT COME HERE . This is the absolute LAST resort .Joseph CookUnless you are dying, just don’t go. It’s VERY slow. The process might start quickly but don’t let that fool you. It’s an extremely slow process. You’re better off not going.Carolyn DeanSo I’m very concerned with the way this hospital is run. No beds in the ER? Nobody checking to see if patients need anything? Being separated from your friends and family to sit in a chair in a hallway to be ignored by staff? And nurses showing each other pictures of their babies instead of HELPING PATIENTS. This hospital is THE WORST….don’t come here.Tyler HallSo slowChris⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedOK, dummies. You’re experiencing long waits because the ER is filled with even more dummies with tummy aches and splinters. The ER isn’t there for you to fill up on pain meds, get your work excuse slip, or update your Facebook status hoping for likes. It’s there for those with serious injuries. One of you clowns said that you shouldn’t go unless you’re dying and he’s correct. These nurses and doctors are very good at saving lives. They’re not there to treat your stubbed toe or indigestion. In other words, the ER is there for emergencies!D Howell⭐️⭐️Lonnnnnnng ER wait times!!!Sissy Waltonhorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrid horrrrrrrrrrrrrrrid horrrrrrrrrrrrrrid!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ER nurse acts like the spawn of Atilla the Hun and Cruella de Ville! Refuse narcotics and she gets ALL nasty about that! THEN my insurance WAS billed for the meds when I had to sign a statement saying that I REFUSED them IN THE PRESENCE OF A WITNESS!! Paulding is NO BETTER!!!!!!!!! Go to Kennestone OR GO TO NORTHSIDE OR EMORY!!! This ER is a JOKE, a very SAD JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Laura Hollingsworth⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGreat doctorsNathan GrantUnorganized rude and unprofessionalAlexis Mcbride⭐️⭐️Very very slow
