Before you go to WellStar Kennestone – Green Tower, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Marietta emergency room think.
Nimy⭐️⭐️Josephine was really rude. I didn’t like her service at all. She called my mother’s last name and I could barely hear her. I stood up and asked her if she had called the right person and with an attitude she said: “Aren’t you…?” Overall just unprofessional. Also, a nurse I believe his name was Michael asked my mother for blood samples and urine which he never took with him and they stayed in the room with us until we left. I just threw them in the bin when we were able to leave. I asked him why he hasn’t taken them with him and he said that those were “extra” which I found out of place since this was the first time we’ve ever come to this ER and all the hospitals we’ve gone to before take blood samples and urine with them. He just looked bored of being there. These two people need to get looked at again honestly.Pete SmithI wish that the closest emergency room to our home was better, but after several less than optimal visits it’s worth driving further to avoid Kennestone. We’ve experienced long waits, frustrating staff interactions, poor doctor care, and terrible backside billing. Maybe if you absolutely can’t make it anywhere else you come here, but we’re done rolling those dice.Crystal F.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I’ve been weary of visiting any emergency room in Atlanta or surrounding because all reviews have been absolutely awful. So for my personal experience I must say they’ve done great so far. I checked in around 4:50pm and by 5:30 I already had a room and spoke with the doctor. I have not felt pressured to pay anything like a lot of reviews say and the receptionist was very attentive and pleasant. Doctors and nurses as well. I traveled from Lithonia all the way here in traffic just to be seen. I’d give 5 stars but it’s freezing in here that’s my only issue. Thank you for the swift kind visit.olga fuentesThe doctor was nice but he was young. However the staff/ nurse practitioner in the front desk they all were on the computer and one was rude to a patient named Joey he had a mental disability and was telling the nurse that took all his vital signs that his stomach hurts to help his stomach and then the patient said call the nurse and after he walked up to that nurse that took his vital signs several times he followed her inside and went behind the front desk where the nurses were at but all he wanted was a doctor to see him. One of the nurses escorted him out of behind the front desk and told him to sit down and then he again said help my stomach and she said to her other coworkers call security. I have a daughter that has autism and they treat people like animals they all need training on how to deal with people with disabilities. Shame on all these nurses.Amayah CampbellThis place is terrible and don’t care about your needs. I have been here since 5:40 and didn’t even get a nurse to check me until about 7:30. I have been waiting on my room to get clean since 7:30 so I can finally figure out what’s wrong with me. It is 8:00 and it’s still not cleaned. I will never come back to this ER! HIGHLY DISSATISFIED!Brian Barbour⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedNever have I had more attentive response with such efficient and effective care. From the time my ER nurse, “Cheyenne” came for me from the waiting room to the point of admission she had me tucked under her wing to make sure nothing would get by her so that the best care would be administered. The ER staff is well trained and very efficient. I have never seen nor experienced a more impressive ER and Trama team.Christopher Brogan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedYou keep coming back because they know you very well! This night in particular was very Quiet!!Renisha ReeseEarlier I went to urgent care and they said I had a kidney infection. They sent me home with antibiotics and pain meds. I also had strict instruction to go to the ER if my temp reached 101. Checked in with my temp at 104.1. The tech in the lobby kept trying to take the thermostat out at 102.2. Finally I had to bite down to get her to leave it alone until the machine beeped. Been here for 2 hours 15 min and I’m still in the lobby freezing. These people don’t have an urgent bone in their body. The girls at the front desk act like us coming to the ER is a burden on them. I know for next time that the Kennestone ER is the hood. Lesson well learned.kayci griffith⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedIf you need to go to an emergency room , this is the place to go . Staff were attentive, thorough and caring . The doctor considered all possibilities and was very detailed when explaining my possible and official diagnosis. They ensured i had a ride by asking on a consistent basis if they could call someone or if I’d called someone .laura olson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHave to admit: it was busy and it was a long wait. BUT, the staff was caring, kind, and attentive. Dr Punja was terrific and made me feel like I was his only patient of the day even though he had probably seen dozens and dozens of others prior to me. All of the nursing staff was also very kind, competent, and displayed excellent bedside manner.Steve Farace⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER Recommendedrave reviews for Nancy, the RN in the pediatric emergency room. She was above and beyond with her level of care and allowing my daughter to fully understand the issues she was dealing with. Our Doctor was great as well, but Nancy really stood out to us!KeMaya Chantal⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedCan’t understand why their rating is so low. Went today and it was only 15 minutes before they called me back and I was there in total for a little on over two hours getting tests done and x Ray’s. This is the shortest time I’ve ever spent in the emergency room. The staff was very friendly everybody that I came in contact with definitely made me feel comfortable. I would highly recommend this place if you ever need to go to the emergency room.Rwana LandersI just came from the ER and the Dr was very rude and accused me of drug sneaking and I told him that I wasn’t and he hisself and two security guards escorted me out of the hospital. I was not drug sneaking I hurt my shoulder actually got to have surgery on it. I am going to take this up with the board of directors. If ur in pain DON’T GO THERE. The Dr is very rude!!!!!ChrisWorst hospital ever. Dont waste your time. Go to Northside in Canton. Seems this hospital knows the hook up on fake degrees, and hires unorganized people. Terrible.Siaani Bryan⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI’ve been having nothing but a great experience here… I’ve attended this ER twice in the past week due to extreme stomach pains, and they have been trying everything they can to find out what’s wrong and help me. My doctor I had this past Saturday was the absolute best. It’s an emergency room, I feel like there is going to be a wait always.Perry RigginsI was not impressed with anything here. Young Dr. Nicole Kennedy-Pauls should revisit her bedside manners course in 3rd year Med School. She is a millennial snowflake who cares for nothing except how she looks in her brand new white Doctors coat.Want he Do itI had a horrible experience with the intake and the person that takes your vital soon as you get to the hospital! They both was aware that I was here before the other people they decided to assist before me, and when I said something about it the tech stated it doesn’t matter! Normally I don’t complain but this is ridiculous, so when I asked for a manager, they directed me to a nurse that did the same thing! Worst experience ever!Tokiwa Milton⭐️⭐️I wanted to give the benefit of a doubt & say it was due to maybe age & immaturity, but when you’re in a field such as this you already know if it’s your passion or just a paycheck that have you there. This is not the profession for a paycheck only mentality. The nurse wasn’t nurturing at all & lack compassion. The physician alone is the reason I gave any type of star rating. A nurse is there to provide care, advise, education and to assure the patient their health concerns & complaints are valid and important a nurse’s duty is not to discipline a patient or down play their health concerns or complaints as if they are dramatized or made up so therefore their care is limited.Earl Juniper⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Great nurses, techs and drs. Took a little prodding to get them to understand my concerns. Need to communicate wait times a little better. Soon and we’re working on it are not acceptable.W WVery unprofessional drs and the waiting room was very dirty . We came here bc we thought we would receive better care but we were very disappointed it has really gone down hill .Rachel Manakunprofessional and rude respiratory therapists, doctors do not take the time to listen and do not explain test results adequatelyMackensie Henderson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHad a wonderful experience here. As flu season is at an all time high, I expected a longer wait time. Once I was sent to the treatment room the nurse and doctor I saw were incredibly kind and attentive to what was going on with me. They knew exactly how to treat me, were very respectful (and kind!), quick and calmed me down drastically. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience at an ER; I was sent home feeling 100% better! Thanks, Wellstar!THE EARTHIf its an Emergency you will be here waiting 5+ hours have fun waitingIvanna CanotLast night 10/12-13 I was in excruciating pain I could barely walk or talk. I was vomiting and unable to maintain my motor-skills. But I was present enough to answer all their questions. The nurse who admitted me attempted to insert the temperature device and as I tried to stop her because I felt I was going to puke on her I twitched the wrong were resulting her yelling at me to and her exact words where “don’t hit me” I apologized but she was reluctant to be understanding. Then the security person that seems he was from the islands began to scrutinize me and I said to him to please be understanding I didn’t want to vomit on the nurse. Then a young lady took me to the restroom where she heard me puking and was huffing and annoyed at me. When we both went back to the floor she only reported to the nurse I had the water running and I was pretending. She didn’t tell them I was throwing up. In other words making it seem as if I was lying. Only presenting unfair and inaccurate information. However as soon as the doctors saw me then it was revealed I have gallstones, hence the vomiting and faintly behavior on my part. That’s when they were nice to me. I’ve been to the emergency rooms in Yonkers, NY; Bronx, NY, New Jersey and DC which they never treated me poorly or made me feel worse. I will be writing a letter to the hospital administration department because if these people dislike their job then why continue so that a patient like me is not scrutinized for being ill. Lastly, I am not expecting them to cater to me as if I was a child that needed Love because the other hospitals treated me with respect and understanding. This hospital failed at that. It was absolutely a horrific experience during the initial admitting time. Horrible people.Craig CochranI am sitting here with my father in the Kennestone ER at 2:15 AM. We came here at 6 PM today. Upon arrival, a med-tech asked me to put a gown on my father. I thought he was joking, but he was serious. Then a nurse spilled a cup of freezing cold water on my father. Now, 8+ hours later, we are still sitting in the ER on the gurney. “We had a mix-up,” “They’re cleaning the room,” “That department has been very busy,” “They put the wrong person in your room,” etc, etc. Glib and condescending excuses. I finally got angry and they threatened to call security on me. My father has pneumonia and cancer. We would have gotten better medical attention at the Waffle House. This has been the most disappointing experience I have ever had. The Kennestone ER is a miserable and unprofessional place full of excuses, but few solutions. We are still sitting here. [Update: My father passed away on April 27, 2018, in part because of the inadequate treatment he received in the Wellstar Kennestone Emergency Room.]Anna Rae Pamplin⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I was in acute right leg pain follow ing surgery on my back at Emory. It took a while to get records from Emory, but then things happened quickly.Mizz Ladybell⭐️⭐️Very very slowly and it was nobody was in here when I arrived. Nurses on they phone sitting right at the front desk. Nurses surfing the internet. I wasn’t took n the back for an hour and a half. After the doctor came in to see me it took forever for the nurse to do what the doctor said.David BatesI’m so disappointed. Me and my wife were in a car accident around 4pm. We got rushed to the hospital to get checked out due to our injuries. She is deaf and I am hearing, it is sad to say that she didn’t get helped untill 10:30. I’m furious, the hospital didn’t have anyone in staff with the ability to interpret and needed to call in one. As I was called to the back with in a hour, I mentioned to the nurse that I was her ears and how would she get help if I was taken back? She had no answers and seemed very uninterested in finding a solution. As I go to the back, I tell the staff of the situation of needing special attention. No one seemed to care. At this point I’m noticing that her world is so much different and is lacking in Quality service. You would think that there would be more accommodations for people that are handicapped. It’s opposite, when I kept trying to inquire at the desk about my wife getting help no one said they could help, and mentioned that they were waiting on a bed but t then went along to say I don’t understand what’s taking so long there’s beds available. Imagine you see 3 more people come in and get beds while your wife has been in the lobby for 3-4 hours. I am so disappointed. I got discharged at 10 30 ish, that’s also when the interpreter got on site. Shortly after after I requested to speak with the ER manager to discuss the horrible service a, my wife got a room. I am new to the deaf community and someone needs to speak up. The service for the deaf is horrible. I am ashamed and downright pissed off to see that level of service hospitals have for the deaf. I am currently waiting in her room looking to speak with a manager and it a hour after my request to speak with he or she. I’m over it.live1984I know emergency room is only for emergencies. But you would think emergencies would have even more professional stuff and doctors. Which i can say that nurses were very polite and explaining. Doctors on the other hand are, lets just say very closed minded. I could not breath at all thats why i went to ER. And later same day i found out that I had sinus infection and blockage, after ER i went to ENT specialist and thats what i been told after X-rays. Will have surgery one of these days, and5 or 6 doctors at ER. Told me i had sleep apnea. Please do your research before taking any medications from them. And wait time i wont even go there from 3am to 1pm. And just sent me home.Riese JohnsonThey are slow, inattentive, lack bedside manner and the Grady Hospital if the north. I’ve had several surgical procedures this past year and this hospital continues to disappoint.Tiffany GordonAbsolutely horrible experience. Nurse was rude but the doctor was ok…just took a rediculous amount of timeOnesmus Murungaru⭐️⭐️⭐️Very slow..even when there is no oneChinyereThis place is terrible . Racist and rude staff who act like they do not want to help anybody of color . Disgusting place . Worst experience I have ever had in a emergency room.
